This most popular branch of the local Roscoe's chain is always packed. Be prepared to wait for a table. Call ahead and you can pick up food curbside. Chicken and waffles do go together! Great biscuits and gravy, greens, red beans, grits and corn bread. Don't be surprised to see your favorite musician or hip hop artist here - the place is very popular. If you don't want to wait go to the Roscoe's in Pasadena. I also like the south LA location (be prepared to wait there too).

Gower and Sunset Blvd. Is a pretty mellow groove spot where Lenny Kravitz was know to hang out. Anyhow If you hand had fried chicken with sweet waffles and you're open for a little adventure of the tastebuds...then yous should det on down rhere to roscoes chicken and waffles... it's mighty tastey.

This could be the real after-party. Slanging sweet soul food draws crowds when the club lets out. Line gets downright Soviet, especially on weekends, at this classic chain's tiny Hollywood outlet. It sounds like a bad joke -- fried chicken and waffles on the same plate. But Roscoe's is one of those places that you have to visit at least once to see how it works (and judging by the wait, it definitely works). I don't know if I have reviewed this one...but it says the doctor wouldn't approve of the cholesterol filled fried chicken and syrup drenched waffles. But contrary to my belief, my appetite didn't approve of it either. Just not a good mix for me. I will leave this restaurant to the California natives.

Yep yep, chicken and waffles and fruit punch! You get exactly what you ask for. Three stars for an enjoyable if completely predictable experience.

It's KFC plus! (But without the tasty biscuits.) Put some jelly on the waffles...it's good.

While in vaction in LA, we JUST HAD to visit many of the landmarks including Roscoe's. Not reading any reviews about this location, we had no idea what to expect. We went one night during the week at about 7pm. We lucked out and parked just about 60 feet away. As we approached, the big black man (security?) told us to go right in.
