I have bought the majority of my furniture from Room and Board. I am surprised about the negative reviews. To be honest, the employees do not work on commission and they are extremely helpful and friendly whenever you walk into their store. I love my couch. It is the most comfortable couch I have ever owned. I also own a bed and a dresser and they are both great quality.

Room & Board is extremely inflexible on their shipping dates. You have little say when your furniture will be delivered to you. They ship their furniture from their Minneapolis warehouse - they don't have regional distribution centers - and only use their own drivers. They claim this is because their drivers "know" how to assemble their furniture. However this means they call you and TELL... more

I went in there having done tons of research and ready to buy my sofa. All i wanted was a sample of the fabric to bring home. I asked very nicely if i could have something just a little bigger than the regular sample size, so i could really get a feel for the color.
