Help us make it rightThis is not a company that you can rely on. The sales person was very nice and got the business from all the companies I met with. BUT the execution is terrible. The process has not started yet. I paid almost a month ago and nobody cares to start the "process" as they call it. The lady who picks up the phone in the office does not let you talk to anybody and cannot give you any info besides "WAIT, it's a PROCESS". The guy from the engineering "department" does not care to come and take the measurements. He called 10 days ago to schedule an appointment. Did not schedule it and did not call back. I called him today. He does not pick up the phone and has not called back. Terrible customer service. I am afraid of the final result...
My story is similar to the previous complaints. I originally signed a contract for installation of hurricane shutters on my Florida condo on March 12, 2010 with a $3,000 down payment. On April 12 rolladen demanded an additional payment of another $3,000 to begin installation (total of almost 60% of cost of entire job). Following almost a year and scores of telephone calls in my futile...
(As copied from PalmBeachPost.com article, July 26, 2011) Donna Gerhke-White, Sun Sentinel (author)Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi filed a lawsuit Monday against Hallandale-based Rolladen Inc. and its owner for allegedly practicing deceptive and unfair trade practices, including not delivering hurricane shutters as promised.Rolladen required consumers to pay upfront 40 percent to 80 percent...
Company accepted $3,838, deposit for installation of storm shutters per contract May 2010. No installation of shutters after nearly one year. No response to phone calls, or visits. No return of deposit. The Florida Attorney General's Office has opened an investigation into Rolladen, a well-known hurricane shutter company based in Hallandale Beach, and its president Robert Hoffman over...
My situation is almost identical to CAT. I signed a contract for hurricane shutters on 8/21/2010 and gave the required down payment of $3,319. We probably had the same pushy salesman. On 9/25/2010, I received a second bill for $3,319, but decided not pay it and called and told Rolladen I wanted to see some progress such as the manufacture of my shutters before making another payment. I was...
After seeing the reports on this company I checked with the (dbpr) Florida Department of Business and professional Regulation and this company has no license to do work in the state as of 2/14/2011. I also found that channel 7 news did a report in south florida called Storm of Trouble were thay did a consumer complaint report on Rolladen. Don't get rolled up in this company.
