June, 2011, we visited Rockport and stayed at the Rod & Reel Motel, loved it! It was clean, very homey, had the necessary things to be comfortable and even had a barbeque grill outside our room and table and chairs for evening cookouts...loved waking up and walking to the beach, the pier has apparently been repaired since earlier reviews because I saw no disrepair. Definitely plan to return...

We have stayed here on several different occasions. All have been good, the rates were comparable with similar places.Staff has always been friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the pier.It was not in good shape the first time we went.Fishing off of it was good and we caught 7 sandtrout.We went two weeks ago and the pier was in really bad shape, I wouldn't have gone out on it if I hadn't...

This place was an awesome place to stay in while Mike was running it. He passed away recently and since then it has gone down hill. They don't care about customer service and they don't fix problems in a timely manner. After staying there this summer, someone was charging our credit card on different websites. I recommend not to stay there and if you do then beware!

We've stayed here 4 times now, and I have to say its a great place It's not the Ritz, but for the price, you can't beat it. I had to ask twice how much the rates were, because I thought I had heard wrong! $45 a nite was awesome! Air was cold, appliances functioned and the bathrooms functioned perfectly. We continue to come back because the hospitality is great. We prefer to give our business...
