If you're visiting Rock Bottom Brewery for the first time, just drive south on Plankinton Ave. and look on your left for the grain silo. That grain is used to brew some fine ale, which shows up in some of the restaurant's dishes, like its stewed chicken and batter-fried fish. Pizzas are excellent, as is the asiago cheese appetizer.

Their food is greasy and heavy. But if you like the typical American style food (burger, mac & cheese, pizza), you should try this restaurant. Their dark bear is excellent.

We were here for birthday and It was a lot of fun. We had great food and a fast waitress. The bar is in the basement which is nice to not have so much pushed together. The drinks were good and so was the Beef BBQ! Its along the river which is so pretty at night!
