I went to this restaurant once for lunch. The seating host and waiter were not great but still good. Overall, the appetizers and main courses tasted fine, but I didn't really care for the jambalaya. This is definitely a place where you can sit down and eat a meal, but there is a bar area for customers who are more interested in drinking. Prices are moderate.

The Rock Bottom has a build your own pizza dish that is a favorite with our children. We always get a large table in the back room and enjoy a couple of beers with their fun pub food. I am a fan of the smoked salmon beer battered fish and chips and the Mahi-Mahi tacos. The draft beers are their own selections, and sampling several of their offerings is a treat.

But the food and service is fairly good as well. The Wednesday happy hour $1 pints are good value but it is more fun if you come early and get a table. The porter is pretty good and the Potomac Pale is good as well.
p.s. I have eaten there a few times since I first posted and the food has been better, the appetizer sampler is a tower of food! And most of it is pretty darned good.
