""Vintage"" dining in a restaurant that time forgot.

The Scene
We may have entered the 21st century, but at this Orange County restaurant, the calendar seems to have stopped in 1975. If there were such a thing as ""vintage"" dining, this...

Sadly this Orange County icon has closed because of lease problems. My first visit was in 1976 in South Coast Plaza and it became my favorite restaurant for every important occasion as well as any...

We have been going to The Riviera since it first opened at South Coast Plaza. Loved it then, loved it now. Food is excellent, service top notch, and the attention to detail is unmatched.

if you like a classy feeling, deep leather couches, waiters with tuxedos, a 1950s era decor, and food prepared in front of you, this is the place for you. The flaming spinach salad with bacon was...

Love this place

I have been going here for 25 years. It was at South Coast Plaza prior to Westminster. They are one of the very few restaurants that still flambe at the table. It is a wonderful experience. I order the sweetbreads everytime I go. They are incredible!! The coffee Diablo is to die for. I love the fact that it is a splash from the past that never never gets old . The only one thing that I wish they would change is the rolls. They need to improve on them. Other wise it is my favorite place to go for any special occassion or just out for a wonderful dinner for no reason at all.

Still swanky after all these years! Magnificent continental cuisine served tableside by tuxedoed waiters, many of whom probably waited on the original rat pack who you almost expect to see at the bar or in the booth next to you. The Cafe Diablo preparation is worth the price of admission on its own.

After thirty years of successful operation in South Coast Plaza, this award winning restaurant has moved to the City of Westminster in the location of...

Dress to the nines for one of Orange County's oldest, most respected restaurants. Tuxedo-clad waiters cater to every need, and an air of professionalism recalls an era when substance and class were prevalent. Timeless entrees have graced the menu since the late '60s; stalwarts include broiled salmon in béarnaise sauce, veal Oscar with asparagus and crab legs, duckling à l'orange flambéed with...
