the food was just ok, mashed potatoes not real fresh, patty melt was only 2/3rds the size of the bread. the chicken tenders were good and had 4 of the big pieces.
the milkshakes were great. prices were mediocre at best,
we had a $25 coupon so it still cost $22 after coupon for 2 people. the place got busy during our meal and the waitress didnt come back to our table for 45 minutes but we didnt care too much cause we were just talking.

Good stuff. It's nicely located next to Farmer's Market. We had lunch and then went to the market for some sweets. It's traditional diner fare and it's very affordable. Our party had reubens, burgers, and a club. They were all very yummy. We went there after seeing historical sites downtown. I highly recommend it for a nice diner lunch.

The worst food I've ever had!

3 people ordered; 2 orders of quesadillas that consisted of only cheese, bacon and dry chicken; extra sour cream ordered not provided; 1 order of sandwich, came dry with cold fries and no ketchup as requested; 1 cheesecake slice ordered, came with eggshell; 2 milkshakes ordered, came watery and didn't taste like what they were supposed to be...chocolate & mocha. Food was horrible!

This would appear to be a real b1bob kind of place. River City tries to play the part of an old-time diner complete with countertop jukeboxes and there was a lot of neon. I guess I'm spoilt by Frisco's in California, but I was disappointed in there being no waitresses on roller skates or no fried mushroom appetisers.
