If you're looking for a family-style restaurant with a lively atmosphere, this is a good bet. With vintage Coca-Cola signs, plasma-screen TVs, wall-to-wall baseball memorabilia, and the attached Homeplate gift shop, T.J.'s has plenty for the kids to look at, and the extensive menu includes all the crowd-pleasers -- burgers, BLTs, lasagna, and ribs, plus an ample selection of salads.

Do not be fooled by those "excellent" reviews, those were from the previous owner. The new owner and the new name "Batters up" are gross, and to keep it under the name TJ's on trip advisor is the only thing keeping them from being completely empty. Had a very nice and good waitress but the food was very disappointing. My Rueben was not good at all. Husband got egg salad sandwich and chili which he said was just so so. There were 6 of us and we were all disappointed

DO NOT GO HERE! This place used to be TJ's but is now called Batter's Up. We were hopeful that it would be better with the change- but it certainly is not. When we got there the place almost seemed closed.. it was a bit dark and there was nobody to be found inside (should have been our first clue)....

It was something I knew was a risk, but with years of good times at TJs I decided to try "Batter Up", the new owners of TJs. But, service was horrendous and the food was blahhhh. It was 30 minutes later when I blew my lunch on the side or the road. Enough said...

TJ's closed in December of 2012 and is not affiliated with Batters Up in Cooperstown! The Stables has nothing to do with neither Batters Up nor TJ's Restaurant.
