On the 14th floor of the waterfront Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Battery Park, this elegant, inviting space boasts a gorgeous vista of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The interior is comfortable, with muted upholstery and innocuous lounge music. The young, well-dressed bartenders maintain a detached suaveness as they mix libations for the after-work Wall Street crowd, tourists and occasional... more

The Scene Boasting sweeping harbor views, this hotel features a more contemporary design for the venerable chain: light wood, pale colors, deco-inspired rooms and original pieces by New York artists like Ross Bleckner and Joseph Stashkeveich. I love this place. I've tried many things on the menu over the years and everything (from the chicken and goat cheese salad to the tuna tartare to the spring rolls) is absolutely delicious, even at 2 a.m. Beautiful space, great service, open late, and good beer.

HOWEVER, i was extremely disappointed in the service. the servers were rude and pretentious, especially a lady named camlin (i think that was her name?). i was hoping to check the place out before the outside deck opened for the summer but... more
