This gym has great rates and is in a great location. My activities at any gym usually include elliptical, free weights and mostly fitness classes - the selection here is satisfactory. If I don't have an appointment its hard to motivate myself to actually do something- so I go to my regularly scheduled classes and make sure I get my workouts in. The Rittenhouse Fitness Club is a great gym and the price is the best in town. Classes are great. I usually went in the mornings which were never crowded. The equipment is a little older than some gyms, but for what I needed it was worth every penny. Ernie is a really asset to the Club - very friendly. They even let you sell your membership back if you move away!!

As a disclosure, I decided not to join Rittenhouse Square gym after taking a tour. First the pros: It is very affordable, much more than other gyms in the area. Also, depending on where you live, it can be very convenient. Cons: The space is small and the gym can get very crowded, and some of the equipment appeared old.
