We swallowed our nerve and went to the shelter to find the perfect dog for our family, in July, '07. We were worried that we would find a dark, depressing scene. Quite the contrary! I found their listing on craigslist when they posted some pictures of dogs needing homes. I left work early to check the puppy and got there 10 minutes before closing. They let me in and was able to see the dogs in need of homes. I was extremely impressed by the cleaniness and the care these volunteers offer to their pets.
