Zaika Indian Cuisine

I went to Zaika the other day and the food was great! It is the first Indian restaurant that I have liked in Mooresville. I especially like the traditional and contemporary atmosphere of the restaurant

I found the best place for really great Indian vegetarian curries. The buffet lunch at this place impressed me. They had varieties of vegetable curries that...

Worst Dinner

The dinner was horrible. Ordered Lamb Rogan and it was not having any spices and had very tough chunks of meat. The gravy had only tomato and chilli paste and was bland.

Zaika has good quality

I have to say that I've eaten at Zaika in Mooresvile, NC at least 10 times. It has been very consistent with the quality of food and is always a good choice when in the mood for a little Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken.

This is the best Indian restaurant in the mooresville nc area! The food was amazing and you could taste all the fresh flavors and spice. Lunch buffet was authentic, delicious and fresh! The décor was really nice and set a nice intimate yet not overly formal tone. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was sent out quickly....loved the chai tea too. This is a true diamond and the...

Very worst place for a indian lunch buffet. Food in the buffet are like two days old and you cannot even feel like tasting it. Bad taste, bad ambience and old food. Please stay away from this place.

The food was good. The only negative thing I can say is; I felt as if were given a guilt trip because we didn't order an appetizer. I don't drink yet the server kept asking if I would like to try a red wine or an Indian wine. other than that. I liked the atmosphere and the food!

Good place with good stuff specially if you love spicy Indian food.

Love the spicy Indian food served at this restaurant, particularly the items in the "Avant Garde" menu which are unique creations of the chef / owner at the restaurant. Definitely worth a try if only for the Avant Garde offerings!

The management of Zaika Indian Cuisine, Mooresville, NC has changed since July 20, 2013 - a full 2 months after this review was added. The new management has an entirely new team including the chef, the serving staff and the Restaurant Manager. The menu is also not the same and a lot of new dishes have been added. They have also created a new website - www.ZaikaIndianCuisineNC.com - of which I...

My husband and I moved to Mooresville from the Chapel Hill area, where there are many restaurants where we enjoyed authentic Indian cuisine. Zaika is some of the best Indian food we've ever had. We both have tried several things on the menu and are never disappointed. Service is great, they've change in ownership within the past month or so....

My wife and I have eaten at all the Indian restaurants in Charlotte and one or two in particular for the last 13 years. We had just found out about Zaika and were very happy with our find.
They are under new management as of mid July and have only been in existence since beginning 2013.

This restaurant is a short drive from Cornelius, NC and this was our first visit. The Indian gentleman who took our order said he was the owner and very very polite. The decor was simple but pleasing and the seating capacity ample.
We did a quick work with our orders and it was served nearly as fast. The food was...

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. When we first walked in, I noticed the restaurant was very clean and was promptly greeted and seated and drink orders were taken. There were only two other customers even during dinner hours. The waiter seemed very polite, but a bit awkward or perhaps just new (this behavior continued throughout the meal). We ordered appetizer and it tasted more like...

First and Last Experience

I picked up lunch from this restaurant today and am wholly unimpressed. $26.00 for two vegetarian take-out bowls. The curry tasted like barely spiced, bland vegetable stew. Disappointing to say the least, considering the high praise bestowed upon the chef as I prepared to leave. Needless to say, between the outrageous lunch price and mediocre food I won't be back. I'll stick with Mint just up...

We have been a couple of times for both lunch and dinner. The lunch buffet is pretty good with decent choices for a decent price. Dinner on the other hand is pretty expensive. Overall the food is good, but the service is terrible. Refills are few and far between. On our dinner visit it took over 20 minutes to pay...

We were visiting the Memory Lane Museum and spotted the sign for this restaurant just before the museum. They do very tasty vegetable samosas, delicious coconut shrimp curry (I asked for medium spicy and it was a good level of spiciness for the British palette) and great navrattan (vegetable) korma. The naan bread and mango lassi were delicious too. The...

Yup; really good food, and very happy with the service as well. We'll go back many times.

Amazing dinner and service tonight!

I am sitting in this restaurant, it looks nice and clean. Received immediate service. I for some reason am three only one in here. I am from Philly, I am not Indian but love the food. I love to try new spots. I ordered Channa masala garlic Nan and a mango lasse. I am very impressed. I could have asked for it to be a little more spicy. The food here is very good. If you are considering it, I...

My son and I visited for the first time last night. I will be back to give them a second chance. The food was above average but they need to work on their service. Our server had only been there a few days and the other server was engulfed by the five occupied tables. Be patient if you go and give yourself time to relax and enjoy. I do not think you will be disappointed. The naan bread was also...

Excellent food. Great service on a Thursday night. Dinner entrees are approx $15. Lunch buffet weekday = $8, weekend = $10.

first time there

The naan with potato had no flavor and no visible or flavorful potato...The main food was ok but the service was horrible...I did not see my waiter and he did not try to help us...I had to get up and go find someone so that I could pay and leave.

Best in Mooresville

The reason that the buffet is the best is that it has taste. Most buffets anywhere, tend to tone down the spices as many of the patrons are workers and like it more bland. Zaika doesn't make bland food. The flavor and preparation is beyond others in N. Mecklenburg. Sangum's in Cornelius is next best, but their food tends to be bland.

best food in mooresville and great customer service ... 100 % much better than Mint ..

Zaika is Great

I went to Zaika yesterday and it was the grand opening. The food was authentic and the service was fantastic. It is the best Indian food I have eaten in Mooresville and I would highly recommend this restaurant .
