My husband and I stayed here a year ago, and were pretty impressed with the hotel. However, upon returning this past weekend, we were very disappointed & will not stay again. For the price, there are many other places to stay. The rooms have been redecorated in a drab beige color with no decor at all. The hallways were also a lifeless beige with no artwork or color. When I asked the front... more

The valet brought my brand new Escalade back to me damaged. No one seemed to really care and told me to call their toll free number to have it repaired. 10 days later I am still calling trying to get something done. Not only does the hotel show a lack of maintenance, but it's customer service is lacking too.

We just stayed at The Westin Cincinnati this past weekend (8/9/08 thru 8/10/08). I must say our experience was below average for a Westin Hotel. To start, when we arrived there was a long line to check-in (approximately 30 to 40 guests before us waiting to check-in). The Cincinnati Westin has a spectacular location in the downtown Cincinnati area. It is close to Great American Ball Park and the hotel faces Fountain Square. Westin a Great Stay

A great hotel to stay in. The front counter staff was very helpful and nice upon check in. It is a large corporate style hotel. But it is in the "business district." The room was spacious and comfy. I stayed at the Westin for business and the location is great. You are near restaurants, bars, and it overlooks the square in downtown. For security purposes, you need to use your room key to access the various floors on the elevator or use the restrooms outside of the conference rooms. I've stayed at this hotel several times for business, and it is the only hotel I will book at in downtown Cincinnati. Pros: Great rooms. Great location. Adequate accommodation in a large corportate style hotel. My room was so large the two double beds in it looked lost creating a bleak atmosphere unrelieved by the corporate style lamps and desk. I don't give very many 5-star reviews, but this stay was exceptional. This review is based on a two-night business stay. I had a room on the 8th floor, toward the end of the hallway. I was disappointed with the Westin Cincinnatti from the moment I attempted to check-in. I have stayed there frequently over the last twelve months. It was generally a very pleasant stay. My biggest complaint is around the complimentary coffee and tea pot area. Nice hotel, good location in the heart of downtown. The McCormick & Schmick's restaurant is new and the staff is going through the learning curve.
