An upscale restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost $20 to $30, and dress casual.

It’s definitely an uptown hotel in the downtown
area. When the quiet of the country gives way to
a yen for big city lights and entertainment,
there is a place that makes you glad you came to
town. A full-service luxury hotel, it has 415
rooms with all the amenities. You can walk to the
theater, to the State Capitol, upscale shopping
at the City Center, museums and several of the

This is the most enjoyable hotel we've ever stayed at. This is a beautiful building, centrally located in the middle of Columbus. They have valet parking, and the valet's are so nice and helpful. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and the room service is great. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. We will always stay at this hotel when we visit Columbus!

I was told parking was valet only. The valet left and returned with a ticket. He asked me to leave my keys in the car and walked away. There was no one to help me with my bags. When the car was returned to me the next day my glove box, center console and trunk had been rummaged through and my radar detector was missing. ... more

This property was the perfect location for a weekend of work and play in Columbus. It's close to Arena district and Short North for many dining and shopping options. Plus, there are a lot of bars around if you like to go out. The rooms are very nice, updated but the bathroom is the strangest I've ever seen. Almost triangular... more

I just stayed at The Columbus this past weekend. The staff was very nice and attentive, from the front desk to the housekeepers to the valet. I booked a junior suite, which was clean and although not the biggest junior suite, very comfortable. The food in the bar and restaurant are worth the trip! ($8. for the best turkey club... more

Wow- I wasn't expecting much when we pulled in but when I stepped inside my jaw dropped. A gorgeous lobby that has been designed with dark wood and contemporary furniture and carpet. Room was beautiful - big, comfortable bed with fluffy duvet. Awesome bathroom with modern stand-up shower and sink. Room included a nice refrigerator and was so clean. This... more

This hotel was great. We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. We were there for the Arnold Classic and UFC. The cleaning staff was good. We had no problems with our room at all except the toilets are made for very short people. They are about two feet from floor to top of bowl and if you... more

Review for the weekend of Feb 29- March 2. We were in town for the Arnold Classic Weekend and UFC events. Hotel is nice in terms of looks, however the service in the bar/lounge area where a lot of people hung out to meet the fighters staying there, and body builders, ect was terrible on Friday and Saturday. We ordered... more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference in January. It was a good experience. I think they did a good job with the renovation and found the rooms to be small, but quite comfortable. The bathroom is tiny, but very functional. I also found the service to be good throughout the facility. I like that they pipe in fresh... more

I recently stayed at The Columbus, Renaissance Hotel and found it to be a very nice hotel. Be sure to have directions prior to leaving, it is a little tricky to locate. Upon check in, valet was curtious and fast. The hotel, room, & bathroom very clean; no complaints. The style/set up of the bathroom was a bit strange with... more

Doesn't meet the standard for an upscale hotel

This hotel charges upper tier rates and has a number of pretentious features. But it doesn't live up to its price and aspirations. On the upside; my room was big and bed very comfortable, especially the pillows--down sleeping pillow, nice firm Euros for reading. There was a down duvet and triple sheeting. The desk was vast. And the breakfast, in... more

Just spent the weekend here. It was a very nice hotel. I got a terrific deal on a suite. When I booked the room we were only going to have 3 guests, which turned into 4, so the suite was a little small (the sofa bed was TERRIBLE). I just couldn’t sleep in the separate plush bedroom and let my... more

Stayed now over 70 nights at this property this year. Much better than reviews indicate. Hotel staff is very accomodating to frequent guests. Karen, lead concierge, does a great job getting to know each guest by name and often has "surprises" in store such as gifts to take back for young children at home. Rooms are not huge but well... more

The location was good. The hotel was next to many local attractions. Booking and check in were easy. The rooms were not as clean as I expected and the cost of the room was expensive for what we received.

The staff that I dealt with was mainly the valet parking staff and they were extremely friendly and helpful! The room was very nice and very comfortable with a nice desk area.

There was poor parking outside of the valet parking at the hotel. The valet parking at the hotel was too expensive.
