Help us make it rightThis is our second time at The Capitol prior to going to a show at the Hobby Center. We were able to get in and out in a timely manner. The Thursday night steak specail is a great value; 8-10 oz steak, mashed potato, vegetable, salad and a glass of wine for $18. The other menu items we have enjoyed include the short rib tacos appetizer (enough for a meal), roasted tomato basil soup (a cup is...
There were four of us in our party. Upon arrival we were taken right away to our table. The restaurant was empty... 7:15pm on a Saturday Night. There was a centerpiece with our reservation, name, number of people in our party and reservation time in the center of the table. I thought this was a nice touch. Privacy issues do exist though...The wait staff were very attentive, starting with...
Nothing special about this place. Maybe need to rebrand the restaurant.
After recently attending a work-related function at The Capitol, it has become a part of my rotation of restaurants/bars to take friends and my spouse. Great atmosphere with high ceilings, classic architectural details, and it never seems to be overcrowded.
Food was good enough, but ambiance is just average, and service was spotty. It is more of a club than a restaurant.

This is a great little restaurant Downtown. We ate an early dinner, and only 2 other tables had guests along with a party upstairs. The decor was really nice. Service was great, but not as attentive as you'd think with so few diners. Cocktails were tasty, though a little pricey. I had my first Skinny Margarita, and it was a winner. Arugula and Goat Cheese salad was great. I never thought about...
Order a classic cocktail and feel like a flapper at this 1920s-themed bar. It's rolling out low-key bar food that's pretty tasty, too.
Romantic downtown venue with live music and shared plates. Crab cakes are xlnt, drinks are xlnt, ménage a foie app is fun.
Taking over the reigns from a downtown hot-spot, Zula Restaurant, The Capitol at St. Germain is a swanky and elegant addition to the city's eternally burgeoning music and restaurant scene. Housed inside a historic building, which still boasts its old world charm and beauty, this venue offers its stage to performers from all over the city and beyond. A well-equipped space, The Capitol at St....
