secret locals sushi bar

This is authentic sushi. Not a huge hitlist of California-cuisine rolls, but the freshest fish I've ever had. Order the sweet shrimp; it's the best in L.A. Great service, good food, wonderful chefs and staff - don't let the strip mall parking lot fool you. :o) Or, rather - do let it. With under 10 tables in this place, I'm happy to keep it to myself!

I love this little gem on Gower and Hollywood. Try the medium Toro tuna sushi. Mmmmm Good. It is run by the owner so you know it is clean and the fish is always fresh. Nice clean little restaurant. Try the Albacore with their custom sauce. Really nice treat.
Parking is a bit tight at times during lunch but at dinner it is never an issue.

I have been going to ike now for about 3 year. If you go, please sit at the bar, even if you have to wait. Then order salmon two ways which is one seared and one fresh. the seared one must be eaten right away when given to you since it has to be consumed warm. This place is my favorite sushi spot in LA. Its also about the most authentic. It is located in a strip mall in Hollywood, so I would have never expected to find a great sushi place there! But it is absolutely outstanding.

I have been eating at Ike for over 10 years. I eat sushi all over the world, been to all the best. Sushi Ike is very solid. His fish is fresh and they take care in preparing it and putting the fish away. I highly recommend anyone who wants a low key night out with sushi to try this place. It really is very good.

Ike is the best sushi in town. I recommend a spot at the bar so you can watch this master sushi chef at work. His hands are lightning quick and the sushi is always fresh. In my enthusiasm and good will toward this restaurant, I *must* say this is a good sushi spot, but I'm greedy and don't want this place to become some new "hot spot" because low key, no pretension, fresh fish is tough to come by in this town. I will say the fish was fresh. However, there is no menu, it ws extremely difficult to communicated with the sushi chefs, the place is in a strip mall and I was caught off guard when I took my date there. I was a little embarrassed that this place is NOT a date night place to go.

My fiance and I stumbled upon Sushi Ike when we moved to the neighborhood. What a pleasant surprise for a sushi bar right next to a Domino's Pizza. F-R-E-S-H fish and incredibly attentive service make this sushi bar one of our favorites.

Great rice the backbone of good sushi. The staff is very friendly and the fish was fantastic. They only do hand rolls which in a way kind of keeps it old school. I just cant believe how long Ive gone without going to this joint. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
