Good selection of merchandise, but when I mentioned to the cashier that the racks were probably violating the American with Disabilities Act, the cashier coped an attitude. Apparently, they were aware that the racks were inaccessible but had an excuse. I am abled bodied, but feel for people who have to struggle unneccessarily.
+ good selection
- not all of store accessible to disabled (racks in middle of store)
Sport Chalet has a wide range of sporting goods! They have always had everything I was looking for at a reasonable price. It is in a great location at the Mission Valley Mall, with a parking lot out the back door.
Overall: I've been to sport chalet a couple times - not really the outdoorsy type so I've gone here shopping for running shoes and to pick up pepper spray for my keychain.
I absolutely recommend the pepper spray for any woman to add onto her keys and carry for safety!
As for the running shoes, they're selection was limited and I ended up purchasing from another store. But the staff...
Any athletic need is satisfied in this store and the employees are always willing to help you out with anything!
this place has everything you need and it is a pretty big place. I love getting cheap sweat pants and jackets here and the service is really nice as well.
They have great merchandise for all sort of sporting goods. The staff is really friendly and available to help.
Rental prices from them are very good and you get good quality gear. Prices on their goods can vary depending on the season.
I LOVE this place. They have so many things for you to look at. Their selections for each sport has so many variety. I bought my running shoes here and I love those shoes.
Similar to The Sports Authority, which carries similar merchandise with a good selection and average prices.
This place offers great outer wear selection. Prices are high and not a lot of sales. The quality is good so it's a investment in gear.
I like all the things that they have and it might be because they have great organization and great selection. I bought a dress there and I didn't even intend on it because their selection is so awesome.
I like this place more than big 5 because i think that it is more organized and has more of a selection to it.
You can't ask more from a sporting store. It has a variety ranging from camping to team sports and a lot bigger than Big 5. The prices are what you'd expect and their customer service is good.
Everything you look at in this store is over-priced and can find it cheaper somewhere else. The brands are high quality brands, but if you are looking for a deal, this is not the place to go.
Great place, Luke in camping was verry helpfull in dive and camping.
Sport Chalet has a pretty wide selection of sporting goods, geared toward amateurs as well as more hardcore sport nuts. I particualarly liked their selection of snorkeling and scuba equipment (much larger than most big sporting goods stores). Pricing was about average, though there are some good deals if you look for them.
this store has stuff for every single sport! weather its basketball, snowboarding or golf you'll find everything you need here. they have a huge selection of shoes at good deals. great store for any athlete
This Sport Chalet is located in a shopping center and is a good stop on your mall trips. They cover everything from Skateboarding to Snowboarding. From Lacrosse to Foozball. The prices are fair and the selection is big. Good customer service; speedy and polite.
This chain (which began as a small ski shop in 1959 and has grown to more than 30 locations throughout California and Nevada) boasts a selection of equipment for everything from rollerblading and running to racquetball and football. Test-drive the latest golf clubs or break into a sweat on one of the home gyms. The ski--and now snowboard--equipment is still available, in addition to the odd fly-fishing or cricket accessory.
It's worth waiting for the end-of-season sales on ski and snowboard equipment and outerwear: Save up to 50 percent off regular prices.
Many locations have on-site pools for scuba instruction and PADI dive certification and can charter dive boats. Call store for availability.
