Adequate but unremarkable

Recently stayed here for five nights. Found the Hilton very adequate, but not spectacular. Skipped the $16.95 breakfast buffet for the $5.99 Grand Slam at Denny's just down the road. Room was average sized but skimpy on drawers for clothes with just three. Room thermostat seemed to be 5-7 degrees off. Water pressure in shower seemed to come and go... more

Nice hotel

Nice hotel despite being very close to the freeway. My family's room faced the freeway but we didn't even hear the sound of cars. I think the hotel may have soundproof windows to minimize the noise coming from the freeway. Hotel was a bit on the pricey side for one night; even with a AAA rate. Parking isn't free either.... more

Nice hotel. Was very clean and seemed pretty new. The elevator to the parking garage smells a little funky but otherwise is okay. I wish Hilton wouldn't nickel and dime so much. It was $14/night to park and $10/day PER LAPTOP per night for wi-fi. The business center costs were outrageous. I sent a two page fax to an 800... more

Great Stay at the Hilton

We stayed at the Hilton for a weekend, but it seemed much shorter than that. The stay was the most pleasant stay we could have asked for. The staff was very courteous and helpful and the hotel itself was very clean. Our room was nice and we both slept very well in our Kingsized bed. For breakfast we were just... more

Good hotel stay. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Staff was nice. Was a little disappointed when I asked for extra towels to take to the beach and was told they do not allow towels to go off property. This seems a little absurd since San Diego is on the coast with the beach readily available. Being an honest person,... more

Stayed here for 1 night for a conference. Wouldn't choose this location if I were a tourist or looking for a place to relax. Here are the pluses & minuses: Plus - Wonderful complementary breakfast selection for Hilton Honors Gold Members - Clean room - Comfortable bed & pillows - shopping center on the other side of the freeway -... more

Easy access from I8. Spacious room and bathroom, toiletteries replaced each day. Room was very clean & nice. A Japanese restaurant with Teppanyaki & sushi bar, gas station, Denny's, Wendy's next to hotel. Golfmart about 200m away. Across Mission Center Road, there is Westfield Mall, more restaurants. Absolutely convenient. Fashion Valley Mall within close proximity. Buffet breakfast was good, continental ... more

Not a RESORT

Easy access to freeway and lots of chain restaurants on the other side of the freeway. There is also a mall and the trolley stop across the freeway. It is at least a 15 minute walk to the trolley stop ( I walk fast) Took me over an hour to get downtown. Small pool, small fitness center, no spa/salon -... more

This is a nice hotel that has recently been updated. It is slightly hard to get to if you are not used to the freeway system in San Diego, but is close to everything. About 20 minutes or less to Sea World, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter. Their restaurant is a bit upscale, so we skipped it. Denny's is 1/2 block... more

I read a bunch of reviews and was a little hesitant when we ended up with this hotel through priceline ($75 a night bid). We were looking for something at Hotel Circle, but would rather spend our money exploring not hanging out in a hotel room. We were pleasantly surprised. Valet parking guys were kind and helpful even though we... more

The location is good, with easy highway access. This is an older property, and our room simply was standard in size and quality. The bathroom also was older, though adequate. The bed, however, was surprisingly comfortable. Staff here was friendly and knew the area and could answer our questions.

First off, the entrange to the hotel is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the service is excellent. Recently I stayed at the hotel in a room with 2 queen beds, it was large and very nice. I was there for a Wedding in their main Banquet Room. I had no idea how big this place was, I believe that there were 400 people there and even a dance floor. It was decorated gorgeously and the food was very ... more
