I snaged a great deal on a room and loved every minute of it. The hotel seemed pretty empty and the front desk staff very helpful. Adressing me as Ms. almost like I was a princess. Splendidly restored Art Deco hotel -- even the bathroom fittings are unique! Executive King room was spacious and the staff everywhere were very friendly. The lobby is gorgeous. Hotel is conveniently situated downtown, not too far from a shopping mall and restaurant area.

It is on the national historic register and it has a beautiful art deco lobby and surroundings. The room was equally sleek and the service was impeccable. I plan on going there again.

This is a very nice boutique-type downtown hotel with charm, good service, and smartly appointed rooms done in a stylish art-deco style. The unusual fountain-like faucets are a treat, and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant is expensive, but the bar area has a reasonably-priced menu and often has live entertainment. We loved the Phillips! It's a beautiful old hotel that has been completely rehabbed. Because of its downtown location, where there is little open on the weekends, I would only recommend this hotel for weekend stay if you have a car. Was able to get a great price through Priceline.
