The Parkview Hotel A Boutique Hotel Located in Downtown Syracuse New York. Chic downtown Syracuse. Those three words just go together don't they? Here are three more words: The Parkview Hotel. Our lobby and sitting area has a great big roaring fireplace large screen televisions and inviting couches. This is contemporary meets art-deco, funky meets comfortable and the end result is a boutique...
So far, it appears they're succeeding; try to find the dining area empty, ever.
Near-constant business has earmarked their lon
Much better than staying in the cookie cutter holiday inn etc
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The room was spacious with enough windows to get sunshine, but still quiet at the same time. I specially liked the shuttle service. It was free and quikly available, going back and forth to the airport, hospital and local destinations. The drivers were very friendly.
We stayed at the Parkview for several days during a family member's surgery at St. Joseph's hospital. Proximity to hospital, central Syracuse plus a great price and amenities made this stay a winner.
Great service. Lovely spotless room and bathroom. Convenient to the destiny mall.
This hotel was great! No complaints! Would definitely stay here again!
Free parking, good continental breakfast included. Room decor nice and clean. bathroom small. Would stay there again.
Stayed at this hotel while visiting my daughter at Syracuse University. Liked the hotel, but the room we were given (108) is too close to the lobby so it is very loud. I was awake until 3 am because if the noise. I was surprised the front desk did little to keep the place quiet. Rooms were nice, but try...
After being shocked at the prices for Downtown Syracuse hotels we were thrilled to get this hotel on a Priceline Express deal. For the price we paid, we loved our experience. Free parking, free wifi and a free breakfast? Amazing. Service was very good at check in and out. Can't think of a single thing to complain about other than...
Overall we had a nice stay here. The hotel is older, but rooms are very nicely updated and decorated. Had trouble with our key not working with the back door to the hotel almost every time we tried to come back in. Also signed up online and was suppose to receive a $25 gift card which did not happen. Breakfast...
The GOOD: location, service, parking and size of room were all pretty good.
The BAD: the bed was too soft and saggy, the air conditioning went on and off all night and kept us up. It was so loud! This was the worst part of the room. I dreaded going to bed knowing that the unit was going to keep...
Great location-we walked to campus and the Carrier dome. Free parking! Lovely room. Very nice décor and bathroom. Love the old feel charm with modern updates. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was very good and I was able to help my son out with laundry since there is a nice laundry room in the basement. Will definitely stay again.
There are some lovely things about this hotel. The free morning breakfast and the bar were wonderful. The bartenders, Bailey and (I'm sorry I don't remember) were very sweet and took great care of us all week. They allowed us to stay late after work, annoy them with channel change requests and share the most ridiculous catalog I've ever seen!...
We stayed just one night for a conference at Syracuse University. The hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. Their shuttle bus took us to the campus and back, at no charge. Parking was free. The complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage as well as cold items. Our room was nicely decorated and everything worked. Getting on and off...
I was glad to have the breakfast. The free off-street parking was terrific. The location was close to the university. The bedding was the modern type, where u don't share a ratty blanket with all the prior guests. The soaps were all organic \n\nIt could stand an update. But in good condition.
Te Hotel was great, clean, easy and accomodating\n\nnothing
Strong Hearts shakes forever! Really, the vegan shakes are so off the charts you forget that no animals were involved in their making. There are tons of...
I teetered between three and four stars. But settled on three. I love a good vegan cafe! And I love the idea of vegan comfort food, milkshakes and French...
We were happy to get this hotel again on Priceline for a shopping weekend in Syracuse. As with our first experience, The Parkview is solid. Good service and location and just a cool vibe. This...
First of all, the location is great. Its close to the mall and downtown. The room was very clean and had all the basics. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast they served in the morning was actually pretty good. Pretty good assortment ranging from cereal to quiche. They kept bringing fresh breakfast as guests kept walking in. Overall very good...

The staff was very pleasant. There was a shuttle for nearby locations.\n\nThe check out was not automatic.\n\nIt was a clean and large room. The staff is very pleasant. The location is a bit dreary at night, but lovely during the day.
My wife had a medical appointment annually in Syracuse, so we look for a hotel that is reasonably priced and close (walking distance) to the hospital, offering parking and breakfast included, since the appointments are usually early morning. What we found was so much better, the desk clerks are extremely helpful and they feature a complementary shuttle service to local...
I recently stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my son. While an older hotel, it had such charm. The rooms were a decent size and were modern feeling and airy. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were so helpful! We needed recommendations for dinner, and were given suggestions as...
Came her for a food experience weekend. What was the most surprising was how friendly people are in Syracuse. Everyone we met went well beyond our expectations of kindness from the hotel to shopkeepers.
My dog loved the hotel. Staff was kind and put us on first floor near door to make it easier to get in and out with fido. Breakfast Burritos were awesome! Good parking behind hotel.\n\nNice lounge area with gas fireplace. There was a bar, too.
I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. The rooms were average at best, and I could tell that this hotel was a bit on the older side. It did add some charm to the hotel and the rooms were a nice size and it included a convenient kitchenette. The downside was that the wifi signal...
Have stayed at The Parkview on multiple occasions. Always an enjoyable experience.
Our room was on the first floor directly next to the elevator so all we heard all night was people getting on and off the elevator and the noise was on the loud side. Very distracting. There were also stains on the lamp shades.
Loved my room! Liked the layout. Funky shutters in windows instead of curtains. Morning sun was lovely\n\nBathroom was nice and large but hey, no place to put stuff. A stool or something would have been handy.\n\nHotel staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.
Beautiful room! Very quiet surroundings.\n\nThere needs to be a small table or surface in the bathrooms. Bed/mattress was not super comfortable, but nice
On vacation with my wife. Great hotel. Good value for the money. Will come again
Free hot breakfast, retro style hotel\n\nOnly one elevator working, is the second elevator only for decoration?
It was a older hotel but very comfortable\n\nToilet was small\n\nGreat little breakfast, smoke free, nice and clean
convenient location, excellent dinner at sister hotel Genesee Grande; good size room with all amenities; comfortable bed; spotless bath;
If had known about the road construction, I would not have reserved a room there that night. Also I was expecting two (2) queen size beds - not two (2) double beds. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the bathroom - nice size wardrobe. The room was well aerated and could be easily kept at a comfortable temperature. There was enough parking behind the motel but the access was...
We had the best stay of all our trips to Syracuse. Having a room with lots of space for a wheelchair is so hard to find but it was perfect at this hotel. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to their sister hotel for a supper and loved that too. The hot buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent serving hot delicious quiche, scones, plus a wide variety of fare.Plus a 12 noon check out...
Was stopping through on business and managed to secure a top floor king suite for a quite affordable rate. Breakfast was so-so, but everything else was fantastic.
Ich war angenehm überracht. Sauberes Zimmer, Preiswert, leider konnten die Fenster nicht geöffnet werden. Super Frühstück. Nettes Personal. Würde sofort wieder dort buchen!!!
The staff were very nice in every area of the hotel. The hotel is quaint and comfy. It has a warm feel to it. The free breakfast was great and they let me stay past the time it closed! The location was very convenient and they had a free shuttle service to the event we were there for! I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Syracuse.
The location is is not that great but the shuttle service to and from the airport and anywhere within 2 miles was great. The room was cramped and the carpet needs replacing. The beds and pillows were not comfortable.
It was fine
We stayed here for one night en route to our final destination. i got a really good price through Priceline (NOT using "name your price", but it was an offer by Priceline. This offer allowed me to confirm the number of beds (2) in the room, and also allowed cancellation without penalty) They allow up to 3 kids to stay...
We were booked into this as the "overflow" hotel for a convention. It was our great good fortune. Located adjacent to Syracuse University, the rooms are spacious, very tastefully decorated and comfortable, huge bathrooms (at least ours was), many windows, and as the name implies, across from a little park. As other reviews have stated, the entrance is very classy,...
The room and the building itself seemed as if we were living in a point of time of pre-computers, which was nice. The asthetics of the carpets, lighting and overall condition of the building was still very pleasant The staff was always helpful, knowledgeable of the surrounding area and curtious to us. The complementary breakfast was simple, delicious and was always looked forward to when the...
Room was bright, clean and beautifully decorated. Great lobby area. Located close to every thing. Great staff.\n\nNothing bad to say. Loved it!\n\nGreat place at a great price.
The hotel is located in a very nice area of the Suracuse City, unfortunately the construction around the hotel made our experience a little bit complicate the first time when you must use GPS to find the hotel, other than that the Staff hotel very friendly, room very clean and breakfast not bad'
The location and the fact that it's a very nicely restored old hotel.\n\nThe fact that there's only one operating elevator\n\nIt's close to an area that has some really great restaurants
I stopped here for dinner with my husband while we were on our road trip to Rochester for a wedding. The food here is amazing! I had the Portobello...
Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk when we arrived was exceptionally helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable, although the bed was a little hard. Complimentary breakfast was very good.
Hotel room was good size and clean. Parking was plentiful and the breakfast was ok.
The hotel had a great location for the university or OMH. The elevators are really strange. The lobby elevator only goes up one floor, then you go to another elevator which goes up to the rooms. Our room was very small and L shaped. We turned our AC up when we arrived and 5 hours later it was still warm. Tons of pillows. Beds comfortable but very short. The room was clean but there was a brown...
Everything about this hotel was great. Definitely worth the price and would stay there again without hesitation.
location and breakfast. What a treat!\n\nParking was difficult
It was close to Syracuse University and the room was relatively large.\n\nThe windows didn't open and the AC unit had a funny smell when it started. We were told it was state law that the windows could not open and the smell disipated.\n\nIt is a renovated older building, so the ceilings were high and the rooms were relatively sound proof. Our room was next to the elevator, but we were not...
Location. Shuttle Almost stole the bed and bedding. Never slept so well. Found on line. First time. Cannot wait to return. Dapper. Devon hot! Day trip to Auburn. Returned car to airport shuttle driver waited for us and took us to train station.\n\nNo no no\n\nService in restaurant excellent. Husband loved chilli. I did too! I never eat chilli
Very nice accommodations. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Love the vintage style decor. We had an excellent stay and definitely will be back.
Rooms are large and there is free parking behind the hotel, the best thing is their location. We were moving our son in to Syracuse University and it was easy to get back and forth. The rooms were clean, linens average. We did not use the free breakfast but it was a nice option. You can also buy a beer...
My husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about the Parkview Hotel. We just spent two nights there this weekend. This hotel far exceeded our expectations! We were struck, the minute we walked through the front door, by the classy appearance of the lobby and the friendliness of the staff at the front desk. We were extremely...
My room was spacious and immaculately clean. Very comfortable.\n\nThis hotel was such a pleasant surprise. It's an older hotel but it is beautiful. My room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and spotlessly clean. The complimentary breakfast was nothing special but definitely adequate. I was happy with everything the hotel had to offer.
First the positives. The rooms are big, lots of TV channel choices, free wireless, free breakfast, nice lobby. The negatives: shutter windows dont keep room dark in the morning, wireless is weak, price is expensive ($229/room), not much within walking distance (although only short drive from lots of good restaurants), front desk service was average and how the rooms are...
We had reservations at the Parkview, but during the check-in process we were asked if we would rather enjoy a free "upgrade" to their new sister property, the Skyler, a short drive away. We accepted, and checked-in at the Skyler, a beautifully renovated old building. During that check-in we were asked why the Parkview had sent us there. Not exactly...
Clean nice property. Great staff. Wonderfull breakfast. Close to campus
Nice, very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Better hotel experience than sister hotel Genessee Grande. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
A gem in the middle of ghost town
I have stayed at the Parkview Hotel in Syracuse a number of times over recent years. While it is well located, and its staff pleasant and efficient, until the last few years it had been showing its age: clean, but worn. More recently the guest rooms and public rooms have been renovated and are now very pleasant. The addition of an onsite bar and breakfast room are also welcome. The standard of...
Convenient, safe location in downtown Syracuse. Large rooms, modern bathrooms and lots of parking. Frig in room. Free home-style breakfast, too! Used my Lufthansa points to pay but worth the posted price.
What a great place to stay. This boutique hotel is clean, charming, with spacious rooms. Beautiful decor, free parking and wifi and a very nice breakfast, all included in price. I was able to a very reduced rate through an internet third party site. I can't recommend this hotel enough, especially for access to SU.
Hotel was quite nice and the staff were friendly. Room was spacious, free breakfast and free parking.
Friendly at the check in counter. Though the hallway and elevator had a slight (cleaning?) odor (my wife's sensitive nose) the room was clean and fresh. Plenty of room for our family of four (two full size beds). Laundry area seemed newer and clean. Breakfast was satisfactory. Stayed only one night but overall a good experience.
We were looking for a hotel close to S.U. And found a great one. The Parkview is convenient, quiet, and best of all extremely clean.
We liked the friendly suggestions by the front desk staff, and the availability of a shuttle. Breakfast was free, and more than adequate, and the area converted to a lounge for evening libation. Next time...
Stort rum, stora sköna sängar, som vanligt på am. hotell ett högt ljud från AC:n.Trots ett tråkigt läge är hotellet helt ok. Extra plus för hotellets kostnadsfria service med bil till och från centrum/restauranger.Enkel frukost.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. They have a great shower with great water pressure . Location proximity is close to highway. Lots of road closure due to road repairs in that area so it's a little difficult to manoeuvre . The staff at the front desk was great and accommodating . Our room was noisy as we could hear the late night revellers coming in and also we could hear the elevator...
We came to Syracuse to do some shopping. The hotel itself and the staff there are so good, we did not want to leave the hotel. Everything about the hotel was fantastic, despite the construction taking place across the street from the front entrance. We will definitely be staying here again!
The outside of the building sets forth that it was built in the 1920's. The inside reflects that period and is lovely. The staff was very courteous. My room was beautiful -- the windows had large shutters, the room was painted in a soft, cream color, and the bathroom had an art deco look to it. The hotel has a...
I suppose that convenient parking and internet, coffee maker, refrigerator are most appreciated, along with a bed that is firm and a room large enough to move around without bumping into one another. The park view had all these. My room looked out on the small park to the front, also a plus. Though an older building, the rooms have...
Fresh and yummy
The room was beautiful. It is an older building but the upgrades inside the hotel are wonderful.\n\nN/A
Very very pleased with our 6 day stay there. Very snazzy and quant!! We loved it!!!
We found the Parkview Hotel through reviews from the TA community. The Parkview is conveniently located in downtown Syracuse. It is an older hotel which has undergone a significant renovation to bring it up to modern standards. The benefit of being an older hotel is that the rooms are much more spacious than the cookie cutter hotel rooms constructed in...
My wife and myself stayed at the park view hotel in Aug. It's not spectacular but it's 5 min. Away from the destiny usa mall, very clean and the staff was friendly.
Comfortable hotel. Staff was great. Provided us easy access to downtown core. Hotel offered free shuttle drop-off and pick-up to downtown.
Everything!! What a great hotel - we were very pleased and so was our daughter who visited us. She is frequently asked for hotel suggestions for visitors to Syracuse - she said she will definitely mention this hotel.\n\nGreat hotel - no complaints.\n\nExcellent location in downtown Syracuse. Convenient to restaurants and to the University. Room was lovely and very well-equipped.
A clean, neat hotel close to SU and other attractions. Breakfast just ok. A waffle iron would have made it better. Also would have liked a usable refrigerator in the room and a thermostat to control the A/C rather than High/Low on the unit.
This hotel is gorgeous. A true classic with just enough modern updates to make it comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, all amenities were great, and the room was huge!
Decided to stay here for our second night in Syracuse due to not being able to get 2 consecutive nights from another hotel ( last minute trip and no other availability ). Didn't feel safe in parking lot at night behind the hotel. Small bathroom and bed not comfortable. We weren't able to take a shower because it was missing shower curtains !
Everything good but the mattress killing all of us they are too soft We had 3 rooms wewwere suffered the mattress can't sleep at all
Very courteous, attentive staff. 24-hour mini-market in the lobby - so convenient and nicely stocked.\n\nNo.\n\nHad a delay of several hours between end of my business and my flight back to New York. The staff made me feel at home and saw to my comfort until it was finally time to go. The room was more than sufficient, given the price and the location.
I loved it all! The room exceeded my expectations and the breakfast was great.\n\nAlley to the parking lot was a little tight and made me nervous, but not bad.\n\nGreat and easy location, nice staff, beautiful rooms!
Loved the shuttle. Very convenient. The drivers were great and very informative. They gave us a talking city tour on the way to the Armory, pointing out places of interest. The desk clerk was terrific and very helpful.
Breakfast included, comfortable beds, free parking in back of hotel.
Beautiful old building with large rooms. Was everything we expected for a downtown hotel at a modest price.
It was a nice, older hotel.\n\nOur ac died during the night.
Stayed at this hotel in July 2014. Through Booking.com paid approx. $100/night on weekday. Have stayed in Syracuse too many times to mention and this hotel was very good. We are a well-travelled family and have stayed in spectacular locations but it all comes down to a clean, nicely decorated room and hotel, with updated and clean bathrooms and a...
We were three. Would have been better to have two queen beds instead of doubles. Otherwise, the hotel was generally nice and staff great.
Everything was fine except the room attendent. She knocked the door even before 9 a.m.
We were picking up our daughter from theater camp at Syracuse University, so we were happy to find a reasonably priced, nice hotel near the campus (which is pretty quiet in July). The room had a super-comfortable king bed and a large, almost-empty bathroom with a shower -not a bathtub (it must have been designed as wheelchair accessible). The hotel...
Visit was good, wish there was a pool and room service from the restaurant. Downstairs restaurant only had like 6 things to choose from
Rooms were gorgeous\n\nnope\n\nIt looks old and "shady" from the outside but inside it has been gutted and is beautiful.
My family and I stayed at the Parkview Hotel for one night on July 9. We were going to Toronto and stayed overnight at the Parkview before finishing our drive (and my wife is a Syracuse alum). I originally tried to book another hotel but it was full, so I booked a room at the Parkview based on reviews.I'll write...
We stayed for two nights. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, very clean and quiet. Complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus. Parking was convenient at the back of the hotel. I would recommend staying here.
Nice hotel, great value. this hotel should earn more stars. Very clean, nicely decorated and renovated. wide bathrooms and rooms. confortable beds. nice shutters on windows. We were driving from Niagara Falls to Montreal with small children and decided to stop one night in a big city on our way. This hotel was a big surprise. We suggest to all!...
When I pulled up to the outside I questioned why I booked this hotel. Outside is brick and nondescript, in "urban" neighborhood a block from a raised highway. Once inside (other than older narrow hallways), entire hotel is remodeled and much nicer - sort of an old european feel. Room and breakfast area were especially nice in decor and felt...
The room was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was very good.\n\nCity construction going on currently around the area\n\nStaff was courteous and room was very nice. Quick check-in and parking provided free in the back lot of the hotel.
I was totally blown away by the beauty of the hotel and the amazing rooms. We will definitely be staying here again upon our return to Syracuse!
This hotel is my favorite in Syracuse. The location and coziness are perfect.
My stay was wonderful. My reservation was accurate, the room clean, comfortable, and quiet with all the amenities expected from a hotel of this calibre. The hotel is located a little off the beaten track but within easy driving distance to some amazing downtown locations such as Armory Square.
Stayed at the Parkview while traveling on vacation. The room was super clean and spacious. The decor was excellent and the breakfast was better than most hotels. An excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again if in the area. Very nice staff as well.
The staff was amazing. The breakfast was nice too\n\nThe location had a lot of construction, the outside of the hotel looked old but the inside was clean and pretty, and no microwave in the rooms. The bar food was not good, he literally microwaved it right on front of us\n\nI would suggest it to anyone. Aside from construction it is in a convenient location, the rooms are clean and pretty, the...
My husband and I went for a weekend get-a-way to do a bit of shopping. When we got to the hotel, our reservation was not in the computer. The concierge immediately upgraded us to an extended King room. He was wonderful. The room was on a corner. It was very bright and spacious, with a kitchenette included. Everything was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to...
We had a one night stay at the Parkview in late July. The hotel fills all the basic needs. Rooms are quite large, ours had a kitchenette. Rooms are clean. Great hot water and double headed shower. We had a view of the park and east facing room, so the morning sunshine was lovely. It was quiet. The breakfast was...
Working across the street, thought I'd try a change from the in-need-of-updating Crowne Plaza down the street, and was very happy with my stay at the Parkview. A lift can bring your luggage up from the check-in to the lobby elevator; reception was cordial and a warm welcome always greeted me when I passed by. Parking is convenient and ample...
Lots of character and warmth. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Environmentally Safe products and practices.\n\nATM at basement required a $3.00 fee for every withdrawal, I had to do two transactions and was only able to withdraw $60.00. First transaction allowed me to get $40.00 and second transaction only $20.00.\n\nWonderful staff and service. Breakfast was tasty and with lots of...
We were quite happy with our recent one night stay at the Parkview Hotel in Syracuse. Free parking, free wifi and a hot breakfast are just some of the reasons we will stay again! The rooms are beautifully decorated and quite large. Although the beds were only doubles, they were quite comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.
We were extremely satisfied with our recent two-night stay at the Parkview. We were in town for an event at Syracuse University and having stayed outside the city, in chain hotels, in the past, decided to take a chance on a smaller hotel, closer to the University and downtown. We were not disappointed. The hotel was lovely!
Our room was...
Gracious staff, great breakfast, loved having the shuttle service the driver was wonderful, room clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Parkview again we were visiting the college the location is excellent.\n\nNothing
This small boutique hotel does offer complimentary guest parking, although limited, but still a huge value for inner city hotels. You are required to climb a flight of stairs to enter the lobby area for check in, which may be a challenge for guests with mobility limitations. Some areas of customer service needs improvement (not all) as myself and my...
The hotel room was very spacious and clean. The continental breakfast was good. There is free off street parking as well as free wifi.\n\nI would have preferred 2 queens instead of 2 double beds...the room was certainly large enough for it.\n\nA very nice hotel. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very satisfied.\n\nOld but in decent condition. Wasn't disappointed at all.
the hotel was very nice, staff was great and the shuttle was such a time and money saver.\n\nlack of amenities within a few blocks, drugstore, park, etc... Still a great hotel.\n\nStaff was great, very helpful.
Love the large rooms and spacious bathrooms. The decor is VERY nice and very comfortable beds !!\n\nNo. Great place !!\n\nGreat staff ! The young lady at the front..Sheneika... remembered me from last year. That was very impressive ! She did a great job getting me checked in.
The Parkview was a great place to stay. It was very clean and decorated nicely. The check in and out was great with very helpful staff. While we only stayed one night I will only stay here when visiting Syracuse! The breakfast was really good and had a lot of things to choose from. Our favorite part was relaxing in the...
Room was very clean and nice. Amenities were good and included breakfast was very good with lots of choices. A pleasant surprise for a free breakfast.\n\nWindow air conditioner was a little loud.\n\nHotel was conveniently located and with free parking, Internet and breakfast was a great deal for a clean room. Room was a bit smaller than expected but had a desk closet and chair. We would...
Intimate setting. Not a chain and not too big.\n\nNo\n\nLove availability of refrigerator. Nice to have a hot breakfast which is not as common for most hotels. Hotel provided free parking behind the hotel. There was more than enough parking spots.
Not close to a lot of eateries in walking distance.
The room was so fresh, beautifully decorated, and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic.\n\nJust the city location made me feel uneasy about parking or leaving anything in the car.\n\nWe enjoyed it thouroughly.
My girlfriend and I booked out stay at the Parkview Hotel last minute. I read all the view ahead of time and was not expecting much. Fortunatly we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was Clean, Modern, well decorated, Beds were very comfortable. The Complementary Breakfast was awful, Bagels, Old Banaas, Over cooked cold eggs, hamburger patties, and poatoes. Everything else was...
We loved this hotel. Classic setting, excellent service. The location is great - easy to get to from I81 and walking distance to downtown.
The hot breakfast was great!
No complaints. I highly recommend this boutique hotel to others. And the price is right!
Continental breakfast\n\nFire alarm going off one a.m.\n\nQuaint, nice staff, decent rooms and pretty clean.
A real gem! Very classy, decorated in old fashion style, yet unique and comfortable. Enjoyed the stay very much. Breakfast was full and offered very good choices. Free parking and good internet speed. The room was huge! Beds very soft and comfy. Would stay again.
This hotel is just a few minutes south of I90 and is a much better deal than the chain hotels along the highway. The bar/lounge is gorgeous and the bartender Bailey is an absolute asset to the establishment.
It is close to I81 so easy to get to and leave. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good and having Soy milk a plus!
The free shuttle bus that takes you anywhere you desire within the downtown area and will pick you up again. \n\nJust the fact it wasn't very convenient to walk up to Armory Square but the fact there is a free shuttle negates this issue. \n\nStaff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
More of a boutique feel than most commercial hotels. Beautifully appointment room with a very relaxing feel.\n\nNo\n\nI've stayed here a number of times over the past few years and am always impressed with the property and professional treatment from the staff.
Staff is polite\n\nSO NOISEY! Walls must be made of paper! My room was the furthest from the elevator possible (which is not very) and yet - I could hear (and was frustrated) by folks chatting at the elevator - and they weren't yelling! Adjacent rooms - could hear it all\n\nCute from the exterior - very mediocre interiors - not a peaceful place - situated across from a sketchy park in the...
My wife and I stayed here for conference and truly enjoyed it. Comfortable and convenient, could walk to Oncenter. Helpful staff at all times. It is nice to find a place downtown that has free parking off the street.
Worst mattresses I have ever slept on. So soft that you fell off the edges and sank in the middle
Clean room with a comfortable bed. Free parking was nice.
The hotel was very nice and our room was nicely decorated. It is a boutique type hotel, not very big but very nice. Great hot breakfast included. Ample parking.\n\nHotel was over booked and we did not get a room with two beds initially, there are three in our family. I called ahead to be sure we would be accommodated. The hotel did eventually accommodate our needs and the front desk person was...
proximity to armory and university; shuttle use and accessibility\n\nTV is relatively small\n\nVery good experience.
The rooms were decorated very nicely and very clean -- thats the most important thing to me as I am always nervous about bed bugs- I had no problem hopping into this bed for a good night sleep - the location is a short 10 min walk from Syracuse university\n\nThe price was not bad p--- with tax -- but then again my work paid for it - I wouldve probably looked for a better price if I was footing...
We loved the room and the bar/breakfast room! The food was very good at the breakfast
My fiance and I were in Syracuse this weekend to visit his friends from college and we decided to stay at the Parkview instead of the usual chain hotels. The hotel lobby is nice and there's a little marketplace for snacks and drinks. Our room was bigger than expected and had a kitchenette. The bed was incredibly comfortable. My only...
The hotel is in a great location if you are visiting Syracuse U, which I was. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice and clean. I have stayed at the Parkview a few times before and each time no problems. Breakfast is complimentary.\n\nNothing about the hotel I did not like but it would be great if there was a pool.\n\nThis hotel is a very good value and a very comfortable place to...
Just what you need!!! A must if you live here or just passing thru! Fresh clean and insane milkshake list!!!!!!
quaint, clean, good braekfast, friendly service.\n\nshower spray could be stronger\n\nwould go back.
Location was good for University visits or access to highway. Rooms are large, beds ok. Staff is friendly/accommodating. Free parking/breakfast. Breakfast offerings were fine.\n\nParking secluded, dark, small spaces...Can be tricky to maneuver around building. No roll away or cots offered (which surprised me). Neighborhood looked iffy to take a morning/evening walk. Thin walls, noisy...
Always choose the Parkview Hotel as my choice when visiting Syracuse University. Such a convenient location to the University and the highway and neighboring shopping areas!
The rooms are all different and bring back the feel of elegance. Plantation shutters, instead of poorly hung drapes that don't close well, give the feel of new design! Behind the front desk, there...
Poor Syracuse... the recession has been particularly unkind to it. I stayed here for two weeks while in Syracuse on business and had one of the rooms (which they call a suite--it's a room) with a "kitchenette" (which here means a small refrigerator, a sink, and a microwave--no stovetop). This place would have been just fine for one night, but...
The Parkview is a very pleasant hotel with nicely appointed rooms, comfortable bedding, and good amenities; the lobby area was welcoming, there is a small shop for snacks and drinks for purchase; and the included daily breakfast was appreciated. Our room was clean, quiet, and well-lit (big windows; natural light). The free shuttle service to and from the airport or...
We were in Syracuse for 1 night, and I booked through Hotel.com, not knowing anything about this hotel. Got a great price so we went for it. The hotel is close to downtown core and centrally located to the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University, plus all the great restaurants downtown. The minus in terms of location is that it's right...
$96 for a room can't beat it! Thanks to Devon for accommodating my dogs letting us switch rooms he was great! Nice bar that's open till 12...clean rooms good staff and on site parking.. Also serve food! Looks small and old from outside but its up to date with flat screens ect
Easy access, conveniently located in the Syracuse downtown area. Very helpful staff and quiet, clean, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet in the morning. Great experience!
Everything about this hotel was great. The service, the complimentary shuttle, and breakfast. The hotel employees were very nice. Definitely going back in the summer time to get a good view of the beautiful park outside the room window. Wait!?!?!?! There's a pool??? I was unaware of that. Still an awesome hotel.
Nice hotel close to Syracuse University. Beds seemed alittle short and some pillows were to hard. Clean room. Heat worked great. Nice bathroom. Quiet hotel. Good choices to pick from at the Market place. Id stay there again.
My room was bright and cheery. The bathroom needed to have some counter space.
Park View Hotel is easy access off 81. It is warm and cozy colonel style with a morden update. Clean quiet comfortable for a overnight stay or two, the front desk was very accommodating. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise...a lil more than continental. The lobby has a see through fireplace, comfortable!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful giving insight on where to eat and what to see. Downtown, the university and Destiny USA are all about 5 mins away by car! The breakfast buffet was great...the coffee was actually good! We spent the day at Destiny USA and had a great time exploring downtown and walking through the campus. We had a fantastic meal at Alto Cinco and drinks at the bar...
Enjoyed the Reuben, quesadilla, and chocolate cupcake. But the service is really slow. If you go for lunch make sure you have an hour. Next time will try after the lunch rush.
We had a suite and it was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Really nice bar with excellent food. Very conveinent mini market in the hotel. Would definately stay there again while in Syracuse!
Comfortable place to stay. Enjoy my stay.Nice Hotel.
I like Strong Hearts's vegan chicken salad sandwich more than I like regular chicken salad sandwiches. They're tasty and hearty, yet not overbearing. Milkshakes are also delicious.
I was incredibly happy with my stay. I was anticipating one of the "pet" rooms on the first floor because of the online "deal" but I had a great room on one of the upper floors. Quiet and nice- fridge/coffee maker etc. Downtown location is nice. Convemiet parking. Good food close by. Very happy!!!
I was not very impressed. First they did not have my reservations. I proceeded to show them my confirmation and sent it directly the evening. In the morning, they still not have my reservations. Second the bathroom toilet was not very clean. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The TV did not work well. The channel kept cutting out when i was watching shows. NBC especially.Thats it.
Their Cajun seitan sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Spicy yummy awesomeness.
A friendly and helpful staff. An old building with a lot of charm that has been remodeled and well kept. Located on a busy street, parking is in the back and gained by an aileyway at buildngs side. Wheel chair entry by back door, locked. Nice little coffee, snack shop on the main floor. Terrible marshmellow treats. Room was clean with newer mini frig, coffee maker, microwave. Bed was very...
It's a good combination of affordability and comfort. Bedroom was large and clean. Beds were good. Staff was friendly. Only downside was I could hear traffic from the street.
Strong Hearts is vegan owned and is active in the cruelty-free community and lifestyle. Eating at places like this is not only good for you and the animals but for the planet and the greater cause of it all. It is nice to support those who ‘get it’ if you know what I mean ;)
Booked an executive king room. Called before booking and was told there would be a pullout couch. Room did not have a couch at all. Needed another bed so they gave us a room with two doubles, which actually was bigger. Only difference from the king executive is a microwave, even verified this with the staff. Staff was great and the location was walking distance from carrier dome and a few great...
My wife and I enjoy vegan and vegetarian food and whenever we travel we try to make a point of sampling at least one local vegan restaurant. The atmosphere here was great and we were really hopeful that we had hit on a hidden gem. Our first hurdle was the 30+ minute wait for a salad and a sandwich. OK... I ordered the mediterranean salad, which was a basic green salad with a few olives and...
The hotel is very good! I take shuttle bus to downtown, compus..everyday! All the staffs are kind enough!!
Hotel room was Clean, but very old, built in 1926. Elevator was broken, had to walk the stairs. TV selections were very limited, like basic cable. The Cafe was very small & limited selection. No resturants within walking disctance.
Very nice hotel, but location was away from the downtown area which required getting into a car and driving. Serious elevator problems causing us to have to walk up six flights of stairs several times.
The best (and my personal favorite) Syracuse restaurant. Even if you swear you won't like vegan food, I promise, you'll love Strong Hearts.
I was treated with courtesy by the staff from beginning to the end. We enjoyed our stay and would return based on the price. We still will look for the best deal.
I reserved the hotel online, but when we arrived there, at 1 am, they told us that the room was already gone. But I already paid the room in advance, so I guess they were hoping that we will not show up and gave the room to someone else.So in the middle of the night they send us to a partner hotel and gave us a ok room there. But it was really anoying having to move again so late when one is...
The Parkview is in a very good location only eight blocks or so from Armory Square, an easy fifteen minute walk or a very short drive. Parking is easy in the back of the building, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
The hotel was pleasant enough - an older building that must've been renovated somewhat recently 9the last ten years?). The room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint was that the elevator was out for the majority of the time and they put us on the 6th floor. When I checked out (after hauling luggage down six flights of stairs) this issue wasn't addressed at all - I...
Good location, clean ,however, it is hard to park. And has no free wifi.
Room is clean, comfortable & spacious. Hotel has a nice Art Deco charm. Cafe is nice quality. It's location to campus is perfect and it's a great value! Hope it's available for every visit over the next few years.
Excellent idea with a great atmosphere. Keep your heart strong and leave the meat in the grazing field.
I had a wonderful "chicken salad" sandwich and a unbelievablly tasty chocolate milkshake (they have a wide assortment). The meal came in around $11.00 and I just loved the place. Healthy food, a great atmosphere and I will definitely go there again.
Good location but the rooms are old. Heater doesn't work properly -- blasts hot then cold no matter what temperature you set. Would probably choose a different hotel next visit.
The Parkview was in a great location to the university and the staff was really friendly. The room was big and comfortable. We did have a hard time stabilizing the temperature in the room though...no thermostat.
They've got any flavor Milkshake you could think of, even pineapple! I try a different flavor every time I go, and haven't been disapointed yet. I'm mostly a carnivore, and even I love the food at this place. Very tasty and inventive vegetarian and vegan fare. Try it!
Nice room; nice staff. Restaurant downstairs is not full service, does not deliver to room, only open till 9pm.
Amazing food! I really loved the chickpea salad sandwich. Great milkshakes too!
The desk service was friendly and helpful. I ate breakfast in the morning at the cafe adjoining the hotel. The egg sandwich tasted good and was priced reasonably. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette with dishes and a range top, as well as a cushioned dining set. I stayed in the executive, king-size bedroom. What I loved most...
Get the oreo cookies n' cream milk shake! It's to kill for! Chickpea sandwich was pretty good too. Nice staff, quaint atmosphere.
Amazing vegan lattes! Very tasty.
Hotel was very comfortable and since we went to Syr for SU Musical Theater audition it was great to be just one block from the theater.
I stayed at the Parkview Hotel the night of December 14th. In the morning as I was preparing to check out, I saw a bedbug on the comforter of my bed. I caught the bug in a sandwich bag and called housekeeping. A maid was sent to the room to collect the bug and do whatever they do in this situation. The manager gave me a discount on the room (half price). The next day, the bites appeared all...
Hotel was a great and offered a free shuttle service to Armory Square. Room was very large and had nice decor.
Love this place! Give fresh and meatless a try! The vibe makes me feel like I am in an urban hip joint! Oh yeah!
The pizza is good. Their normal menu tastes a lot like cardboard, but if you go, you have to have one of the delicious milkshakes.
Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong: - My room was next to the elevator, which was incredibly loud, and went up and down/opened and closed the doors though no one was riding it. I couldn't sleep a wink. - When I asked to change rooms, I was accomodated, but put next to a group of people partying in the next room until late at night. - The air conditioning in BOTH rooms was...
The hotel seems nice. We were awoken at 8:45 a.m. on a Sunday morning by a cleaning person. Worse than that, we woke up to find a bedbug on our comforter that had gorged itself on blood all night. When it was killed, it was filled with the blood of either me or my wife (perhaps both).
Amazing food great atmosphere wonderful people. If you haven't tried Strong heart's yet you must do so as soon as possible!
I was helpling my daughter move after graduation. I stayed one night an was looking forward to sleep for a couple hours in the morning but was awaked with the sound of the vacuum cleaner in the corridor. But after that the hotel had been renovated and is beautiful, the staff super friendly.
Short drive to University , clean room , fast check-in/checkout.reasonable rate.
Amazing French Toast. Don't be afraid to try this place if you're not Vegan.
The limited food service is excellent and a first class restaurant is available in the hotel next door. The hotel has been tastefully renovated and has ample free parking and a very obliging staff.
I wanted a hotel that was close to Syracuse University but wasn't too expensive and this hotel worked out perfectly. The room was quite big and had a nice flat panel TV. The refrigerator was also handy. I only wish the room had queen size beds instead of full size. There was plenty of room for the bigger beds. I would still stay here again, though.
Hotel was in a great location in Syracuse. Rooms were spacious, clean and new.
The staff here was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean, nice art deco tiles in the bathroom. The best part was the cafe off the lobby. They actually served decent food (nice pastries, veggie sandwiches, salads, specialty coffees) for not outrageous prices and the staff there was also very friendly.[...]it was a lovely place to stay. There's even a vegan cafe two doors away!...
I make it a point to stay at the Parkview Hotel every time I am in Syracuse for business. I really love how clean, and beautiful the rooms are. And for the price it can not be beat. The location is right near the highway and very close to some wonderful restaurants. The in house cafe is also quite good for those who do not want to venture out- but it closes a bit on the early side. I look...
After attending Syracuse University for undergrad, I knew the Parkview existed but I hadn't really heard much about it. I recently visited campus for a weekend and was delighted to find the Parkview advertised for significantly lower rates than then other downtown and campus area hotels. The service was great and the location of the hotel is very convenient (pretty much equal distance between...
Hotel was nice, located a few blocks away from campus. Stayed one night. I would stay there again.
this hotel was great. the staff was attentive and friendly, there was a free shuttle that took us downtown, and the rooms were large, modern, and clean.
we stopped in on a Friday night which happens to be vegan pizza night. We shared four pizzas. The best was the "chicken wing" pizza but all were yummy. The regular menu looks great, although heavy on the faux meats. They have about 30 vegan milkshake options. For Syracuse this place is amazing.
Very impressed by how clean and new the rooms were. I think they've been remodeled recently. The room was large enough and very roomy in its organization. It's located very close to the highway, which was nice for us since we had to catch a flight the next morning. Even though it's close to a major road, it was very quiet and peaceful. Excellent place to stay.
Great location close to downtown Syracuse and Syracuse University. Spacious rooms with kitchenette updated bathrooms and very quiet. The hotel is Art Deco style throughout, and gives a feel from an era gone by. The coffee shop is excellent.
Friday night is pizza night.....yum!0
Great food, atmosphere, and staff
We discovered this hotel as we were looking for a hotel within walking distance of Syracuse Stage and the Syracuse Drama Department Theatre. This fit the bill. Rooms are comfortable, a good size and quiet. The bathrooms could use more counter space, but that is the least of my worries. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed the hotel each time we have stayed.
i was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel!!!! The towels and linen were very clean and i enjoyed the comfort of your beautiful king size beds!
Walking distance to university and hospital, quiet, clean, wireless in all rooms, great cafe on premises
The lady at check inn didnt seem all that nice, but other than that the hotel was really nice. elevators shut down at night so if i had to get anything from the car it was 5 flights of stairs up and down, which wasnt bad for me. finding food was a little difficult, but its all located on rt 5. although the hotel dining was decent.
The hotel is cool, just because it is a updated art deco building. There is parking right out back and access through doors with the hotel keys. The rooms are really nice, and a steal for the price. The neighborhood is alright, close to the University and around a lot of businesses so it becomes a ghost town after 5:00. Very safe though.
Very nice and clean place. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms are very spacious and well equiped - though the flat TV-screen is a bit small for the large room. The only point I could criticize is the poor sound insulation of the sewer pipe from upper floors which ran through the room.
Everything was spotless and the staff very nice and efficient. Our only problem was that the blanket and linen for the kingsized bed was not kingsized, so they pulled out and exposed the mattress, an unsanitary situation.
Parkview was a suprise for the price. Very friendly staff in a beautiful old bulding restored in great taste. The location is great for downtown stays with easy acsess to the hi-ways.
hotel is great for no frills but real nice stay. bathrooms are REAL nice. rooms are large. Staff is courteous. Parking is free! price is right (always could be lower!).
The Perfect Hotel for Syracuse University Visits. Good Location, Nice clean and refurnished Rooms. Reasonable rates and good parking. Thanks for a nice stay once again.
...when we booked the room they advertised free breakfast with the room. When we arrived they no longer offered breakfast with the room and would not honor what their add said at the time of booking. I found this very annoying. The hotel was otherwise nice but just the lack of curtesy was very much a put off.
