The Parkview Hotel A Boutique Hotel Located in Downtown Syracuse New York. Chic downtown Syracuse. Those three words just go together don't they? Here are three more words: The Parkview Hotel. Our lobby and sitting area has a great big roaring fireplace large screen televisions and inviting couches. This is contemporary meets art-deco, funky meets comfortable and the end result is a boutique...
So far, it appears they're succeeding; try to find the dining area empty, ever.
Near-constant business has earmarked their lon
The title pretty much says it all. Overall ahreat value.
I enjoed t clean hotel and the staff was personable.
Walking distance to best restaurants and shopping.
My wife and I stayed at Parkview while we were biking the Erie Canal Trail. The staff was warm and inviting. They let us keep our bikes and gear locked safely in our room while we explored downtown Syracuse. Couldn't have asked for anything better. We would highly recommend staying at the Parkview.
Needed affordable hotel near Syracuse University. Park View had large clean room, great comp breakfast, bar, free parking and within walking distance to university. Would book again.
Stay was for a wedding. Parking is tricky.
Stayed 2 days while dropping daughter to medical school. While not as glamorous as a 4 star hotel it is quite chic and cozy.
We loved the hotel interior decor. Relative to other hotels we stayed, I will come back to this one. A couple of points, however; It was pretty warm the late afternoon we arrived, and the lobby, elevator area could have been several degrees cooler. The room outstanding, but (and a big BUT), upon entry to my room, I was confronted by a linen odor that I know from previous other hotel experiences...
Excellent experience staying overnight while doing college and back to school shopping. The Parkview has loads of character, which is what attracted us to try it out.
The rooms are cozy, clean and plenty roomy for the four of us. We got in fairly late (after 9PM), so it wasn't clear how busy it was - but the next morning the place was bustling - I make this point because everything was so...
I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel considering how affordable it was. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The only "complaint" I would make was the location of the TV. It was placed all the way to one side of the wall, more in front of one bed. Maybe they could have placed it kitty corner for better viewing.
The front desk employees were lovely, friendly, and helpful-nice breakfast, too!
This hotel was beautiful, and extremely comfortable, clean and had professional staff. The rooms were well appointed, beds delicious and pillows cradled your head. It was quiet and has a great lobby to sit and visit with business partners or read a book. The hotel rooms overlook the park and have a great sunny exposure. The complimentary breakfast was awesome and breakfast room was clean and...
Lovely hotel. Rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and parking and internet were free. Perfect hotel for those who are exploring surrounding areas and looking for a nice place to rest at night.
Nice room with comfortable beds. Best night sleep I had in months.
Very noisy in hallway. Blinds allow a lot of light in. Bed and pillows were tremendous.
We stayed here after the Krockathon event over at the NYS Fairgrounds - which were just over 5 miles away. Reasonable rate - that plus our tickets were cheaper than another hotel's "package deal"!! The Parkview is an older building but has been renovated within the last 5 years or so - plenty of plugs for recharging, nice tile work in the bathroom, a flat screen tv, and very clean. Close to the...
The best deal you can get in Syracuse.
I Truly Enjoyed my stay, I would definitely stay again, Especially at the Awesome Price I got the Room for.
The Parkview hotel is fairly well appointed in the lobby, breakfast/bar area. There was plenty of parking located behind the hotel.
My room on the sixth floor on the south side of the hotel was satisfactorily appointed.
There were two things with regard to room comfort that affected my rating. First, as others have noted, the in-window air conditioning unit was very loud. Second, the windows...
We love this hotel! We try to stay here every time we are in Syracuse. We usually get the king suite and it's excellent. My only issue this time was we got a standard room and it was a poorly designed shower.. It leaked all over the floor as the lip was short and so was the curtain. It really didn't impact our stay though and we will be back again!
Hotel was clean and cozy! I was very surprised on everything! Free breakfast was more than I expected! That was nice! I will stay here again!
Upon arrival, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us as we are both disabled. First they moved use into a room that was close to the rear entrance where the handicapped parking was and the room was a handicap room. When we found several things wrong with the room they moved us across the hall to the other handicap room. The 1 thing they could not fix was the ramp going to the back...
Stayed here for a small family reunion. Rooms were nice, hotel was quiet and service was very good. enjoyed the stay and would come here again.
came for a university tour, very comfortable location wise and quite a decent hotel for the price.
Passed by the city and lived in this wonderful hotel. From classic decorations to very clean and spacious room, everything is impressive. Price is attractive as well.
We stayed there for 2 nights on our way to Niagara Falls from Manhattan. Although Syracuse has literally nothing to see, it was a good and relaxing experience to stay at Parkview...One more thing, the breakfast was delicious...
Worked well for an overnight on a family road trip. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast. Winter Kale Salad at the Strong Hearts Cafe next door was excellent.
This was an excellent value for our money. The hotel is clean, safe, comfortable, well-equipped, and very pleasant. There is free parking in the back, which is always appreciated. No complaints!
Have stayed here before and really like the clean rooms and the shuttle service to downtown restaurants
My friend and I are from Central PA and DC areas. We chose the Parkview because of good reviews, price was more reasonable than the Finger Lakes at this time of year, it was close to 81, and was 1 hour or less to all the things we were interested in... Finger Lakes region, restaurants, spas, little day trips around Central NY, etc. We stayed for 4 nights. Housekeeping did a great job with fresh...
This hotel was wonderful. It was Conveniently located near the highway and many dining options. The facilities were very clean and very spacious. Very comfortable place to stay.
The stay was fine. I have some feedback about housekeeping and recommend that you get tags for the doors that say do not disturb or housekeeping please. Our housekeeping person woke us up at 8:30 by knocking on the door, asked when we were leaving, when I didn't know she seemed annoyed and perturbed as if I was inconveniencing her (check out was at 12). Again she came back at 11:00 wanting to...
I stayed at the Parkview for 3 days and I really liked it. All of the people working there were very helpful. Also the rooms are very clean and their breakfasts are lovely! Plus, the prices are average)
I live the nostalgia of this hotel. I feel like I have stepped back in time but with modern day amenities.
The hotel is located just off the I81 and near the university district with its charming pubs and shopping. The hotel is older but very well maintained, offering a pleasing decor, big well decorated rooms, great beds, a convenient kitchen, and ample parking. A good breakfast is included with a variety of foods offered.
Very nice hotel, located just off the highway. Large rooms with comfy beds. Clean and in good condition.
Free Wifi, free parking, and complimentary breakfast.
Only (potential) problem is the five or so steps from the front desk and up to the lobby level. But I was told that there was a way around this, by entering from a side or back entrance.
We stayed only a single night, so my review is not...
Great clean comfortable room.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Just an overnight but room was lovely, comfy bed, beautiful old fashioned bathroom. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
a really nice hotel in an isolated part of town but it has a nice park in front - a fifteen minute walk to restaurants and shop blocks
Rooms are sizeable, clean and the hotel is well located. Staff weren't familiar with local attractions, which was disappointing.
Nice hotel in an historic old building. Clean room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Ample free parking.
Stayed there several times now. Always a great experience.
Secnd visit as good as the first. Best breakfast in a long time.
My son and I stayed one night at this hotel. The staff was very friendly both at the front desk and in the lounge. The room was a bit dated but very clean.
Cute hotel that has an old timey feel, but nicely updated and clean. A nice place to stay in the Syracuse area!
Hotel at good location. Extra spacious rooms. Clean and comfortable. Cannot ask for much more :)
Hotel is walkable distance from University. Not many amenities nearby.
the staff is awesome, and the continental breakfast was also good.
My room was good, but other family members' room was not. The air conditioning unit continually clicked off making the room stuffy at times.
We like this hotel, nothing but positives. A 1926 building, still with many original features, which has a certain `style` to it. (So much nicer than some modern hotels which appear to be assembled from a kit). The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are VERY spacious, and it`s surprisingly quiet for an urban location. We were only booked in for one night as we were travelling on.
This hotel is non-descript--not bad, not great; clean and comfortable--and a block away from a highway overpass. The weekend we were there, there was all sorts of construction on the block, and the surrounding neighborhood was pretty much deserted. The complimentary breakfast is a bit of a joke, unless you happen to like stale Cheerios with skim milk, chased with cold coffee that was probably...
The hotel was older but nice and staff were very friendly.
Hotel staff was very accommodating. Was staying here while my husband was a surgical patient at nearby St. Joseph's Hospital and had to unexpectantly extend my stay by a night. The front desk clerk not only helped me with the extension, but arranged it so I didn't have to change rooms. Made a difficult time a little easier.
GREAT hotel. Just a classic old-style hotel with everything you need. Great hotel and a great price and very friendly and helpful staff.
Overall good experience although some of the civil work outside hotel was inconvenience especially at night
I stayed here while packing my daughter up to return home for the summer. Proximity to Syracuse University is perfect, room was comparatively large for a hotel room, which was a pleasant surprise and added to the comfort of our stay. Beds were extremely comfortable as well. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.
Great stay close to downtown. Was pleasantly surprised
Charming boutique style hotel - a cool feature was being able to buy beer or wine from the front desk to take up to your room if you so choose. Staff were great. Only drag was the construction going on right outside their front door - one day the park and the roads around it will be great - just not now... free breakfast was simple but hit the spot after a night of fun!
Renovations happening in the front, but there was parking in the back (just had to loop around the block). The general hotel style is a little outdated in the rooms, but the cafe is nice. The market (hotel store) and sitting area are very nice. My girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves. The room is very spacious. No central air, though they have room units.
Older city hotel. Nicely updated while keeping a retro flavor. Staff very helpful and breakfast was very nice.
Very comfortable room with lots of space and a nice mix of modern with old world charm. (I'm thinking of the deep windowsills with the plantation shutters!) Close to the University but the sidewalks were being torn up when we were there so it was a mess outside.
Quick stopover for one night. The reception was a bit shabby but then the room much more impressive. A huge comfy bed and nice bathroom
The desk clerk on check in got the price wrong, and billed it,.on check out they billed it again. Now I have to wait to see if 1 charge comes off.I stayed in the same room almost 2 years ago. Then the bed was New and comfortable , but now it's lumpy and miserable.
The bed spread and decorative pillows were dirty and smelled.
Pleasantly surprised. Close to downtown. Beds and pillows really comfy
The ParkView was a nice, but our room smelt like cigarette smoke and had several stains on the floor. The tub faucet was slightly broken and the shower head left a bit to be desired. The staff was very nice though, and offered an alternative room which we declined out of laziness. Overall, its a nice hotel with friendly staff.
Best part of staying here was the convenience. Loved the decor of rooms. Most challenging was the construction in front of hotel. Made it a bit difficult to get there easily.
I know shorter is better so I'll be brief. I stayed four nights and was able to walk to Syarcuse University. The University is a ten minute walk and there is some incline, not too bad though. Breakfast is included and was just okay. It's not the best hotel breakfast you'll ever have but you'll be happy that they offer it. Breakfast is not limited to pastries. They actually have eggs and sausage...
Great location, clean, small hot breakfast included, easy parking
Nice experience. I don't think the rooms are worth $159.00 per night.
Great comfortable room with a nice view of the fountain. Love that there is complimentary self parking too.
The construction was inconvenient.
Pros-Overall very nice place. Much nicer appearing on the inside than the outside. Very comfortable bedding. Bathroom was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Only 5 mins from University which is very convenient if you have an event going on there.
Cons-Location not the greatest but hotel seemed very safe. Getting behind building to park was a little tricky due to very small space between...
The goods- Close to Syracuse stage , free parking and Hampton Inn quality breakfast. Nice Lobby. spacious room with lots of storage .
The bads-front desk staff didn't seem to know about the area, taxis,
restaurants, just clueless. Room was dark dusty and dirty w stained rug and upholstery. Small bath towels. No luggage help, you park in back and drag stuff in, but they have carts . (Which front...
the hotel was really lovely - but really need to figure out how to cozy up the lounge and make it more inviting.
Check in very pleasant - great staff. Lovely entry and lobby with fireplace. Our room was spacious and updated - very nicely decorated and appointed - huge windows with shutters that truly worked to bring light in and keep it out. Very clean - very comfortable. Only complaint was there were no extra blankets - and only a very thin cotton throw between 2 sheets - no actual bed spread or blanket....
We stayed there for one night for a college visit trip to syracuse. Hotel was clean and comfortable. One of the outlets was broken so we had to choose between a bedside light or the alarm clock. The dial on the iron was broken as well. The hotel beds were comfortable and our room was quiet. Breakfast could have been better. We found the food didn't taste very good.
We stayed here for Own the Dome/spring reception at Syracuse. The staff was super friendly, the room was clean, and you can't beat the free parking and free breakfast. We drove to SU, which was in very close proximity. My only complaint is the air freshener that was used in the halls. It was way too strong and I needed to buy some allergy medication to take.
Very nice place. Not a lot around for things to do or places to eat. Colleges and hospitals that's all. Quiet at night. Was woken very early with construction out front. But over all very nice place to stay. Would recommend to anyone.
Hotel décor very nice. Room was on the first floor & close to lobby; very noisy through out the night and early morning. Front Desk Staff very slow to respond and seemed to have some confusion with every guest that checked in. Causing a long wait for service. Room Key malfunction and needed to be reset every time we left the room. Staff should be better trained to multi task and handle day to...
Good breakfast with many choices including edible hot items. Heating and air conditioning noisy. Wifi spotty. Neighborhood probably okay, but looks a little grim. Major street construction in front of hotel. Parking is not locked.
The bed was horrible. Whenever my husband moved, the entire mattress shifted and I woke up every time. I imagine that is how a water bed feels like.
Convenient location near shopping area. Would definitely come back to the same hotel in the future. !
Very clean room and quiet too. Beautiful park outside. Coffee and evening drinks. Great breakfast. I'll be staying here again as we visit my son at Syracuse.
We had a wonderful stay definitely a 4 star hotel....when you first pull up from the outside you don't think its a nice place, because the building is real old....but from the inside its beautiful, the staff our wonderful, the place is amazingly clean, the rooms are double the size than any other 4 star hotel I have ever been in,the beds are amazing with lots of pillows....there is a hot breakfast...
It was very relaxing the hotel staff was very friendly the one thing was they need to habe waffle and pancake for breakfast
It was a nice clean hotel. Close to campus. Area was a little yucky and there was a big construction job going on.
Staff were very helpful. Room was adequate but in real need of updating. No in-room safe. Sheets were of good quality but pillow very lumpy.
Hallways had a cabbage smell but room was okay. Shutters on windows do not block out light.
Free breakfast was mediocre at best.
Wonderful service! Clean, comfortable and updated rooms. Highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Syracuse!
Very clean and comfortable room. Great staff and free breakfast had a variety. Will definitely recommend again
Clean comfortable room! Hotel was elegant. Unsure about area, not able to get a taxi, should have called, but thought we would walk and catch one. No such luck!
Me and my family have a very good stay in this hotel, room was big and clean, close to everywhere and free parking and breakfast...
Room was nice, lounge needed some ambiance but was ok. Shower head sucked and sprayed water all over the floor because it was broken. Overall, nice spot.
Gorgeous, cozy room, quiet area. Walking distance to most things with major shopping a short drive away. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
Great stay, a little different then hotels in Syracuse that are outside of downtown area. Lots to see would be nice to have an outline in room of attractions and places to eat
We stayed here before and this trip was even better. We had registered for a king room but noticed king suites online at the same rate so we asked when we checked in if they could give us a king suite and they did. The suite was nice with almost a full kitchen plus free wifi, lots of space and complimentary hot and cold continental breakfast. Only downside was that the bathroom int he room we...
It is nice to stay in a cosy environment. The staffs are highly cooperative. Breakfast was too good.
At my arrival I was greeting from the staff was very nice... the Bar staff was nice as well. During our second night there was a strong cigarette smell in the 3rd floor corridor it smell so strong that at a certain point I placed cushion on the bottom of the door as it was smelling inside the room and called reception to see if the 3rd floor was really a non-smoking floor the staff told me that...
Très agréable mais un peu dispendieux, une bonne place pour passer les vacances
I booked 2 rooms at the Parkview and it was on these 2 people's request. I had booked them there in the past and they had appreciated the confort, hospitality and good morning breakfast. Also the hotel being close to the highways made it much easier for someone travelling in that area.
Great service. Lovely spotless room and bathroom. Convenient to the destiny mall.
Free parking, good continental breakfast included. Room decor nice and clean. bathroom small. Would stay there again.
Stayed at this hotel while visiting my daughter at Syracuse University. Liked the hotel, but the room we were given (108) is too close to the lobby so it is very loud. I was awake until 3 am because if the noise. I was surprised the front desk did little to keep the place quiet. Rooms were nice, but try...
After being shocked at the prices for Downtown Syracuse hotels we were thrilled to get this hotel on a Priceline Express deal. For the price we paid, we loved our experience. Free parking, free wifi and a free breakfast? Amazing. Service was very good at check in and out. Can't think of a single thing to complain about other than...
Overall we had a nice stay here. The hotel is older, but rooms are very nicely updated and decorated. Had trouble with our key not working with the back door to the hotel almost every time we tried to come back in. Also signed up online and was suppose to receive a $25 gift card which did not happen. Breakfast...
The GOOD: location, service, parking and size of room were all pretty good.
The BAD: the bed was too soft and saggy, the air conditioning went on and off all night and kept us up. It was so loud! This was the worst part of the room. I dreaded going to bed knowing that the unit was going to keep...
Great location-we walked to campus and the Carrier dome. Free parking! Lovely room. Very nice décor and bathroom. Love the old feel charm with modern updates. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was very good and I was able to help my son out with laundry since there is a nice laundry room in the basement. Will definitely stay again.
There are some lovely things about this hotel. The free morning breakfast and the bar were wonderful. The bartenders, Bailey and (I'm sorry I don't remember) were very sweet and took great care of us all week. They allowed us to stay late after work, annoy them with channel change requests and share the most ridiculous catalog I've ever seen!...
We stayed just one night for a conference at Syracuse University. The hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. Their shuttle bus took us to the campus and back, at no charge. Parking was free. The complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage as well as cold items. Our room was nicely decorated and everything worked. Getting on and off...
I was glad to have the breakfast. The free off-street parking was terrific. The location was close to the university. The bedding was the modern type, where u don't share a ratty blanket with all the prior guests. The soaps were all organic \n\nIt could stand an update. But in good condition.
Te Hotel was great, clean, easy and accomodating\n\nnothing
Strong Hearts shakes forever! Really, the vegan shakes are so off the charts you forget that no animals were involved in their making. There are tons of...
I teetered between three and four stars. But settled on three. I love a good vegan cafe! And I love the idea of vegan comfort food, milkshakes and French...
We were happy to get this hotel again on Priceline for a shopping weekend in Syracuse. As with our first experience, The Parkview is solid. Good service and location and just a cool vibe. This...
First of all, the location is great. Its close to the mall and downtown. The room was very clean and had all the basics. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast they served in the morning was actually pretty good. Pretty good assortment ranging from cereal to quiche. They kept bringing fresh breakfast as guests kept walking in. Overall very good...
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The staff was very pleasant. There was a shuttle for nearby locations.\n\nThe check out was not automatic.\n\nIt was a clean and large room. The staff is very pleasant. The location is a bit dreary at night, but lovely during the day.
My wife had a medical appointment annually in Syracuse, so we look for a hotel that is reasonably priced and close (walking distance) to the hospital, offering parking and breakfast included, since the appointments are usually early morning. What we found was so much better, the desk clerks are extremely helpful and they feature a complementary shuttle service to local...
I recently stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my son. While an older hotel, it had such charm. The rooms were a decent size and were modern feeling and airy. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were so helpful! We needed recommendations for dinner, and were given suggestions as...
My dog loved the hotel. Staff was kind and put us on first floor near door to make it easier to get in and out with fido. Breakfast Burritos were awesome! Good parking behind hotel.\n\nNice lounge area with gas fireplace. There was a bar, too.
I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. The rooms were average at best, and I could tell that this hotel was a bit on the older side. It did add some charm to the hotel and the rooms were a nice size and it included a convenient kitchenette. The downside was that the wifi signal...
Loved my room! Liked the layout. Funky shutters in windows instead of curtains. Morning sun was lovely\n\nBathroom was nice and large but hey, no place to put stuff. A stool or something would have been handy.\n\nHotel staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.
Beautiful room! Very quiet surroundings.\n\nThere needs to be a small table or surface in the bathrooms. Bed/mattress was not super comfortable, but nice
Free hot breakfast, retro style hotel\n\nOnly one elevator working, is the second elevator only for decoration?
It was a older hotel but very comfortable\n\nToilet was small\n\nGreat little breakfast, smoke free, nice and clean
The location is is not that great but the shuttle service to and from the airport and anywhere within 2 miles was great. The room was cramped and the carpet needs replacing. The beds and pillows were not comfortable.
We stayed here for one night en route to our final destination. i got a really good price through Priceline (NOT using "name your price", but it was an offer by Priceline. This offer allowed me to confirm the number of beds (2) in the room, and also allowed cancellation without penalty) They allow up to 3 kids to stay...
We were booked into this as the "overflow" hotel for a convention. It was our great good fortune. Located adjacent to Syracuse University, the rooms are spacious, very tastefully decorated and comfortable, huge bathrooms (at least ours was), many windows, and as the name implies, across from a little park. As other reviews have stated, the entrance is very classy,...
Room was bright, clean and beautifully decorated. Great lobby area. Located close to every thing. Great staff.\n\nNothing bad to say. Loved it!\n\nGreat place at a great price.
The location and the fact that it's a very nicely restored old hotel.\n\nThe fact that there's only one operating elevator\n\nIt's close to an area that has some really great restaurants
I stopped here for dinner with my husband while we were on our road trip to Rochester for a wedding. The food here is amazing! I had the Portobello...
Everything about this hotel was great. Definitely worth the price and would stay there again without hesitation.
location and breakfast. What a treat!\n\nParking was difficult
It was close to Syracuse University and the room was relatively large.\n\nThe windows didn't open and the AC unit had a funny smell when it started. We were told it was state law that the windows could not open and the smell disipated.\n\nIt is a renovated older building, so the ceilings were high and the rooms were relatively sound proof. Our room was next to the elevator, but we were not...
Location. Shuttle Almost stole the bed and bedding. Never slept so well. Found on line. First time. Cannot wait to return. Dapper. Devon hot! Day trip to Auburn. Returned car to airport shuttle driver waited for us and took us to train station.\n\nNo no no\n\nService in restaurant excellent. Husband loved chilli. I did too! I never eat chilli
Rooms are large and there is free parking behind the hotel, the best thing is their location. We were moving our son in to Syracuse University and it was easy to get back and forth. The rooms were clean, linens average. We did not use the free breakfast but it was a nice option. You can also buy a beer...
My husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about the Parkview Hotel. We just spent two nights there this weekend. This hotel far exceeded our expectations! We were struck, the minute we walked through the front door, by the classy appearance of the lobby and the friendliness of the staff at the front desk. We were extremely...
My room was spacious and immaculately clean. Very comfortable.\n\nThis hotel was such a pleasant surprise. It's an older hotel but it is beautiful. My room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and spotlessly clean. The complimentary breakfast was nothing special but definitely adequate. I was happy with everything the hotel had to offer.
First the positives. The rooms are big, lots of TV channel choices, free wireless, free breakfast, nice lobby. The negatives: shutter windows dont keep room dark in the morning, wireless is weak, price is expensive ($229/room), not much within walking distance (although only short drive from lots of good restaurants), front desk service was average and how the rooms are...
We had reservations at the Parkview, but during the check-in process we were asked if we would rather enjoy a free "upgrade" to their new sister property, the Skyler, a short drive away. We accepted, and checked-in at the Skyler, a beautifully renovated old building. During that check-in we were asked why the Parkview had sent us there. Not exactly...
Clean nice property. Great staff. Wonderfull breakfast. Close to campus
Nice, very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Better hotel experience than sister hotel Genessee Grande. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Convenient, safe location in downtown Syracuse. Large rooms, modern bathrooms and lots of parking. Frig in room. Free home-style breakfast, too! Used my Lufthansa points to pay but worth the posted price.
What a great place to stay. This boutique hotel is clean, charming, with spacious rooms. Beautiful decor, free parking and wifi and a very nice breakfast, all included in price. I was able to a very reduced rate through an internet third party site. I can't recommend this hotel enough, especially for access to SU.
We were looking for a hotel close to S.U. And found a great one. The Parkview is convenient, quiet, and best of all extremely clean.
We liked the friendly suggestions by the front desk staff, and the availability of a shuttle. Breakfast was free, and more than adequate, and the area converted to a lounge for evening libation. Next time...
Professional & courteous staff, modern & clean rooms, convenient location
The outside of the building sets forth that it was built in the 1920's. The inside reflects that period and is lovely. The staff was very courteous. My room was beautiful -- the windows had large shutters, the room was painted in a soft, cream color, and the bathroom had an art deco look to it. The hotel has a...
I suppose that convenient parking and internet, coffee maker, refrigerator are most appreciated, along with a bed that is firm and a room large enough to move around without bumping into one another. The park view had all these. My room looked out on the small park to the front, also a plus. Though an older building, the rooms have...
Fresh and yummy
The room was beautiful. It is an older building but the upgrades inside the hotel are wonderful.\n\nN/A
We found the Parkview Hotel through reviews from the TA community. The Parkview is conveniently located in downtown Syracuse. It is an older hotel which has undergone a significant renovation to bring it up to modern standards. The benefit of being an older hotel is that the rooms are much more spacious than the cookie cutter hotel rooms constructed in...
Everything!! What a great hotel - we were very pleased and so was our daughter who visited us. She is frequently asked for hotel suggestions for visitors to Syracuse - she said she will definitely mention this hotel.\n\nGreat hotel - no complaints.\n\nExcellent location in downtown Syracuse. Convenient to restaurants and to the University. Room was lovely and very well-equipped.
Beautifully appointed room, very clean, friendly helpful staff. And the breakfast was very good! Will stay here again.
Very courteous, attentive staff. 24-hour mini-market in the lobby - so convenient and nicely stocked.\n\nNo.\n\nHad a delay of several hours between end of my business and my flight back to New York. The staff made me feel at home and saw to my comfort until it was finally time to go. The room was more than sufficient, given the price and the location.
I loved it all! The room exceeded my expectations and the breakfast was great.\n\nAlley to the parking lot was a little tight and made me nervous, but not bad.\n\nGreat and easy location, nice staff, beautiful rooms!
It was a nice, older hotel.\n\nOur ac died during the night.
Stayed at this hotel in July 2014. Through Booking.com paid approx. $100/night on weekday. Have stayed in Syracuse too many times to mention and this hotel was very good. We are a well-travelled family and have stayed in spectacular locations but it all comes down to a clean, nicely decorated room and hotel, with updated and clean bathrooms and a...
We were picking up our daughter from theater camp at Syracuse University, so we were happy to find a reasonably priced, nice hotel near the campus (which is pretty quiet in July). The room had a super-comfortable king bed and a large, almost-empty bathroom with a shower -not a bathtub (it must have been designed as wheelchair accessible). The hotel...
Rooms were gorgeous\n\nnope\n\nIt looks old and "shady" from the outside but inside it has been gutted and is beautiful.
My family and I stayed at the Parkview Hotel for one night on July 9. We were going to Toronto and stayed overnight at the Parkview before finishing our drive (and my wife is a Syracuse alum). I originally tried to book another hotel but it was full, so I booked a room at the Parkview based on reviews.I'll write...
Nice hotel, great value. this hotel should earn more stars. Very clean, nicely decorated and renovated. wide bathrooms and rooms. confortable beds. nice shutters on windows. We were driving from Niagara Falls to Montreal with small children and decided to stop one night in a big city on our way. This hotel was a big surprise. We suggest to all!...
When I pulled up to the outside I questioned why I booked this hotel. Outside is brick and nondescript, in "urban" neighborhood a block from a raised highway. Once inside (other than older narrow hallways), entire hotel is remodeled and much nicer - sort of an old european feel. Room and breakfast area were especially nice in decor and felt...
The room was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was very good.\n\nCity construction going on currently around the area\n\nStaff was courteous and room was very nice. Quick check-in and parking provided free in the back lot of the hotel.
Stayed at the Parkview while traveling on vacation. The room was super clean and spacious. The decor was excellent and the breakfast was better than most hotels. An excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again if in the area. Very nice staff as well.
The staff was amazing. The breakfast was nice too\n\nThe location had a lot of construction, the outside of the hotel looked old but the inside was clean and pretty, and no microwave in the rooms. The bar food was not good, he literally microwaved it right on front of us\n\nI would suggest it to anyone. Aside from construction it is in a convenient location, the rooms are clean and pretty, the...
We had a one night stay at the Parkview in late July. The hotel fills all the basic needs. Rooms are quite large, ours had a kitchenette. Rooms are clean. Great hot water and double headed shower. We had a view of the park and east facing room, so the morning sunshine was lovely. It was quiet. The breakfast was...
Working across the street, thought I'd try a change from the in-need-of-updating Crowne Plaza down the street, and was very happy with my stay at the Parkview. A lift can bring your luggage up from the check-in to the lobby elevator; reception was cordial and a warm welcome always greeted me when I passed by. Parking is convenient and ample...
Lots of character and warmth. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Environmentally Safe products and practices.\n\nATM at basement required a $3.00 fee for every withdrawal, I had to do two transactions and was only able to withdraw $60.00. First transaction allowed me to get $40.00 and second transaction only $20.00.\n\nWonderful staff and service. Breakfast was tasty and with lots of...
We were quite happy with our recent one night stay at the Parkview Hotel in Syracuse. Free parking, free wifi and a hot breakfast are just some of the reasons we will stay again! The rooms are beautifully decorated and quite large. Although the beds were only doubles, they were quite comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.
We were extremely satisfied with our recent two-night stay at the Parkview. We were in town for an event at Syracuse University and having stayed outside the city, in chain hotels, in the past, decided to take a chance on a smaller hotel, closer to the University and downtown. We were not disappointed. The hotel was lovely!
Our room was...
Gracious staff, great breakfast, loved having the shuttle service the driver was wonderful, room clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Parkview again we were visiting the college the location is excellent.\n\nNothing
This small boutique hotel does offer complimentary guest parking, although limited, but still a huge value for inner city hotels. You are required to climb a flight of stairs to enter the lobby area for check in, which may be a challenge for guests with mobility limitations. Some areas of customer service needs improvement (not all) as myself and my...
The hotel room was very spacious and clean. The continental breakfast was good. There is free off street parking as well as free wifi.\n\nI would have preferred 2 queens instead of 2 double beds...the room was certainly large enough for it.\n\nA very nice hotel. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very satisfied.\n\nOld but in decent condition. Wasn't disappointed at all.
the hotel was very nice, staff was great and the shuttle was such a time and money saver.\n\nlack of amenities within a few blocks, drugstore, park, etc... Still a great hotel.\n\nStaff was great, very helpful.
Love the large rooms and spacious bathrooms. The decor is VERY nice and very comfortable beds !!\n\nNo. Great place !!\n\nGreat staff ! The young lady at the front..Sheneika... remembered me from last year. That was very impressive ! She did a great job getting me checked in.
The Parkview was a great place to stay. It was very clean and decorated nicely. The check in and out was great with very helpful staff. While we only stayed one night I will only stay here when visiting Syracuse! The breakfast was really good and had a lot of things to choose from. Our favorite part was relaxing in the...
Room was very clean and nice. Amenities were good and included breakfast was very good with lots of choices. A pleasant surprise for a free breakfast.\n\nWindow air conditioner was a little loud.\n\nHotel was conveniently located and with free parking, Internet and breakfast was a great deal for a clean room. Room was a bit smaller than expected but had a desk closet and chair. We would...
Intimate setting. Not a chain and not too big.\n\nNo\n\nLove availability of refrigerator. Nice to have a hot breakfast which is not as common for most hotels. Hotel provided free parking behind the hotel. There was more than enough parking spots.
Not close to a lot of eateries in walking distance.
The room was so fresh, beautifully decorated, and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic.\n\nJust the city location made me feel uneasy about parking or leaving anything in the car.\n\nWe enjoyed it thouroughly.
My girlfriend and I booked out stay at the Parkview Hotel last minute. I read all the view ahead of time and was not expecting much. Fortunatly we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was Clean, Modern, well decorated, Beds were very comfortable. The Complementary Breakfast was awful, Bagels, Old Banaas, Over cooked cold eggs, hamburger patties, and poatoes. Everything else was...
We loved this hotel. Classic setting, excellent service. The location is great - easy to get to from I81 and walking distance to downtown.
The hot breakfast was great!
No complaints. I highly recommend this boutique hotel to others. And the price is right!
Continental breakfast\n\nFire alarm going off one a.m.\n\nQuaint, nice staff, decent rooms and pretty clean.
A real gem! Very classy, decorated in old fashion style, yet unique and comfortable. Enjoyed the stay very much. Breakfast was full and offered very good choices. Free parking and good internet speed. The room was huge! Beds very soft and comfy. Would stay again.
This hotel is just a few minutes south of I90 and is a much better deal than the chain hotels along the highway. The bar/lounge is gorgeous and the bartender Bailey is an absolute asset to the establishment.
It is close to I81 so easy to get to and leave. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good and having Soy milk a plus!
Great hotel, great location, great service!
Very clean hotel and friendly staff, never had any problems and the rooms are always very clean. Stayed 3 times. Nice place
The free shuttle bus that takes you anywhere you desire within the downtown area and will pick you up again. \n\nJust the fact it wasn't very convenient to walk up to Armory Square but the fact there is a free shuttle negates this issue. \n\nStaff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
More of a boutique feel than most commercial hotels. Beautifully appointment room with a very relaxing feel.\n\nNo\n\nI've stayed here a number of times over the past few years and am always impressed with the property and professional treatment from the staff.
Staff is polite\n\nSO NOISEY! Walls must be made of paper! My room was the furthest from the elevator possible (which is not very) and yet - I could hear (and was frustrated) by folks chatting at the elevator - and they weren't yelling! Adjacent rooms - could hear it all\n\nCute from the exterior - very mediocre interiors - not a peaceful place - situated across from a sketchy park in the...
My wife and I stayed here for conference and truly enjoyed it. Comfortable and convenient, could walk to Oncenter. Helpful staff at all times. It is nice to find a place downtown that has free parking off the street.
Worst mattresses I have ever slept on. So soft that you fell off the edges and sank in the middle
Clean room with a comfortable bed. Free parking was nice.
The hotel was very nice and our room was nicely decorated. It is a boutique type hotel, not very big but very nice. Great hot breakfast included. Ample parking.\n\nHotel was over booked and we did not get a room with two beds initially, there are three in our family. I called ahead to be sure we would be accommodated. The hotel did eventually accommodate our needs and the front desk person was...
proximity to armory and university; shuttle use and accessibility\n\nTV is relatively small\n\nVery good experience.
The rooms were decorated very nicely and very clean -- thats the most important thing to me as I am always nervous about bed bugs- I had no problem hopping into this bed for a good night sleep - the location is a short 10 min walk from Syracuse university\n\nThe price was not bad p--- with tax -- but then again my work paid for it - I wouldve probably looked for a better price if I was footing...
We loved the room and the bar/breakfast room! The food was very good at the breakfast
My fiance and I were in Syracuse this weekend to visit his friends from college and we decided to stay at the Parkview instead of the usual chain hotels. The hotel lobby is nice and there's a little marketplace for snacks and drinks. Our room was bigger than expected and had a kitchenette. The bed was incredibly comfortable. My only...
The hotel is in a great location if you are visiting Syracuse U, which I was. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice and clean. I have stayed at the Parkview a few times before and each time no problems. Breakfast is complimentary.\n\nNothing about the hotel I did not like but it would be great if there was a pool.\n\nThis hotel is a very good value and a very comfortable place to...
Just what you need!!! A must if you live here or just passing thru! Fresh clean and insane milkshake list!!!!!!
quaint, clean, good braekfast, friendly service.\n\nshower spray could be stronger\n\nwould go back.
Location was good for University visits or access to highway. Rooms are large, beds ok. Staff is friendly/accommodating. Free parking/breakfast. Breakfast offerings were fine.\n\nParking secluded, dark, small spaces...Can be tricky to maneuver around building. No roll away or cots offered (which surprised me). Neighborhood looked iffy to take a morning/evening walk. Thin walls, noisy...
Always choose the Parkview Hotel as my choice when visiting Syracuse University. Such a convenient location to the University and the highway and neighboring shopping areas!
The rooms are all different and bring back the feel of elegance. Plantation shutters, instead of poorly hung drapes that don't close well, give the feel of new design! Behind the front desk, there...
Poor Syracuse... the recession has been particularly unkind to it. I stayed here for two weeks while in Syracuse on business and had one of the rooms (which they call a suite--it's a room) with a "kitchenette" (which here means a small refrigerator, a sink, and a microwave--no stovetop). This place would have been just fine for one night, but...
The Parkview is a very pleasant hotel with nicely appointed rooms, comfortable bedding, and good amenities; the lobby area was welcoming, there is a small shop for snacks and drinks for purchase; and the included daily breakfast was appreciated. Our room was clean, quiet, and well-lit (big windows; natural light). The free shuttle service to and from the airport or...
The room itself was great - big comfy bed, mini kitchen which included a toaster, microwave, fridge, pots and pans, and utensils. The double head shower was also very clean.
We were in Syracuse for 1 night, and I booked through Hotel.com, not knowing anything about this hotel. Got a great price so we went for it. The hotel is close to downtown core and centrally located to the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University, plus all the great restaurants downtown. The minus in terms of location is that it's right...
$96 for a room can't beat it! Thanks to Devon for accommodating my dogs letting us switch rooms he was great! Nice bar that's open till 12...clean rooms good staff and on site parking.. Also serve food! Looks small and old from outside but its up to date with flat screens ect
Easy access, conveniently located in the Syracuse downtown area. Very helpful staff and quiet, clean, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet in the morning. Great experience!
Everything about this hotel was great. The service, the complimentary shuttle, and breakfast. The hotel employees were very nice. Definitely going back in the summer time to get a good view of the beautiful park outside the room window. Wait!?!?!?! There's a pool??? I was unaware of that. Still an awesome hotel.
Nice hotel close to Syracuse University. Beds seemed alittle short and some pillows were to hard. Clean room. Heat worked great. Nice bathroom. Quiet hotel. Good choices to pick from at the Market place. Id stay there again.
My room was bright and cheery. The bathroom needed to have some counter space.
Park View Hotel is easy access off 81. It is warm and cozy colonel style with a morden update. Clean quiet comfortable for a overnight stay or two, the front desk was very accommodating. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise...a lil more than continental. The lobby has a see through fireplace, comfortable!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful giving insight on where to eat and what to see. Downtown, the university and Destiny USA are all about 5 mins away by car! The breakfast buffet was great...the coffee was actually good! We spent the day at Destiny USA and had a great time exploring downtown and walking through the campus. We had a fantastic meal at Alto Cinco and drinks at the bar...
Enjoyed the Reuben, quesadilla, and chocolate cupcake. But the service is really slow. If you go for lunch make sure you have an hour. Next time will try after the lunch rush.
We had a suite and it was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Really nice bar with excellent food. Very conveinent mini market in the hotel. Would definately stay there again while in Syracuse!
Comfortable place to stay. Enjoy my stay.Nice Hotel.
Great, even for non-vegans. I like Strong Hearts's vegan chicken salad sandwich more than I like regular chicken salad sandwiches. They're tasty and hearty, yet not overbearing. Milkshakes are also delicious.

I was incredibly happy with my stay. I was anticipating one of the "pet" rooms on the first floor because of the online "deal" but I had a great room on one of the upper floors. Quiet and nice- fridge/coffee maker etc. Downtown location is nice. Convemiet parking. Good food close by. Very happy!!!
I was not very impressed. First they did not have my reservations. I proceeded to show them my confirmation and sent it directly the evening. In the morning, they still not have my reservations. Second the bathroom toilet was not very clean. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The TV did not work well. The channel kept cutting out when i was watching shows. NBC especially.Thats it.
Their Cajun seitan sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Spicy yummy awesomeness.
A friendly and helpful staff. An old building with a lot of charm that has been remodeled and well kept. Located on a busy street, parking is in the back and gained by an aileyway at buildngs side. Wheel chair entry by back door, locked. Nice little coffee, snack shop on the main floor. Terrible marshmellow treats. Room was clean with newer mini frig, coffee maker, microwave. Bed was very...
It's a good combination of affordability and comfort. Bedroom was large and clean. Beds were good. Staff was friendly. Only downside was I could hear traffic from the street.
Strong Hearts is vegan owned and is active in the cruelty-free community and lifestyle. Eating at places like this is not only good for you and the animals but for the planet and the greater cause of it all. It is nice to support those who ‘get it’ if you know what I mean ;)
Booked an executive king room. Called before booking and was told there would be a pullout couch. Room did not have a couch at all. Needed another bed so they gave us a room with two doubles, which actually was bigger. Only difference from the king executive is a microwave, even verified this with the staff. Staff was great and the location was walking distance from carrier dome and a few great...
Ho Hum. My wife and I enjoy vegan and vegetarian food and whenever we travel we try to make a point of sampling at least one local vegan restaurant. The atmosphere here was great and we were really hopeful that we had hit on a hidden gem. Our first hurdle was the 30+ minute wait for a salad and a sandwich. OK... I ordered the mediterranean salad, which was a basic green salad with a few olives...

The hotel is very good! I take shuttle bus to downtown, compus..everyday! All the staffs are kind enough!!
Hotel room was Clean, but very old, built in 1926. Elevator was broken, had to walk the stairs. TV selections were very limited, like basic cable. The Cafe was very small & limited selection. No resturants within walking disctance.
Very nice hotel, but location was away from the downtown area which required getting into a car and driving. Serious elevator problems causing us to have to walk up six flights of stairs several times.
The best (and my personal favorite) Syracuse restaurant. Even if you swear you won't like vegan food, I promise, you'll love Strong Hearts.
I was treated with courtesy by the staff from beginning to the end. We enjoyed our stay and would return based on the price. We still will look for the best deal.
I reserved the hotel online, but when we arrived there, at 1 am, they told us that the room was already gone. But I already paid the room in advance, so I guess they were hoping that we will not show up and gave the room to someone else.So in the middle of the night they send us to a partner hotel and gave us a ok room there. But it was really anoying having to move again so late when one is...
The Parkview is in a very good location only eight blocks or so from Armory Square, an easy fifteen minute walk or a very short drive. Parking is easy in the back of the building, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
The hotel was pleasant enough - an older building that must've been renovated somewhat recently 9the last ten years?). The room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint was that the elevator was out for the majority of the time and they put us on the 6th floor. When I checked out (after hauling luggage down six flights of stairs) this issue wasn't addressed at all - I...
Good location, clean ,however, it is hard to park. And has no free wifi.
Room is clean, comfortable & spacious. Hotel has a nice Art Deco charm. Cafe is nice quality. It's location to campus is perfect and it's a great value! Hope it's available for every visit over the next few years.
Excellent idea with a great atmosphere. Keep your heart strong and leave the meat in the grazing field.
Great Taste and Atmosphere. I had a wonderful "chicken salad" sandwich and a unbelievablly tasty chocolate milkshake (they have a wide assortment). The meal came in around $11.00 and I just loved the place. Healthy food, a great atmosphere and I will definitely go there again.

Good location but the rooms are old. Heater doesn't work properly -- blasts hot then cold no matter what temperature you set. Would probably choose a different hotel next visit.
The Parkview was in a great location to the university and the staff was really friendly. The room was big and comfortable. We did have a hard time stabilizing the temperature in the room though...no thermostat.
They've got any flavor Milkshake you could think of, even pineapple! I try a different flavor every time I go, and haven't been disapointed yet. I'm mostly a carnivore, and even I love the food at this place. Very tasty and inventive vegetarian and vegan fare. Try it!
Nice room; nice staff. Restaurant downstairs is not full service, does not deliver to room, only open till 9pm.
Amazing food! I really loved the chickpea salad sandwich. Great milkshakes too!
The desk service was friendly and helpful. I ate breakfast in the morning at the cafe adjoining the hotel. The egg sandwich tasted good and was priced reasonably. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette with dishes and a range top, as well as a cushioned dining set. I stayed in the executive, king-size bedroom. What I loved most...
Get the oreo cookies n' cream milk shake! It's to kill for! Chickpea sandwich was pretty good too. Nice staff, quaint atmosphere.
Amazing vegan lattes! Very tasty.
Hotel was very comfortable and since we went to Syr for SU Musical Theater audition it was great to be just one block from the theater.
I stayed at the Parkview Hotel the night of December 14th. In the morning as I was preparing to check out, I saw a bedbug on the comforter of my bed. I caught the bug in a sandwich bag and called housekeeping. A maid was sent to the room to collect the bug and do whatever they do in this situation. The manager gave me a discount on the room (half price). The next day, the bites appeared all...
Hotel was a great and offered a free shuttle service to Armory Square. Room was very large and had nice decor.
Love this place! Give fresh and meatless a try! The vibe makes me feel like I am in an urban hip joint! Oh yeah!
The pizza is good. Their normal menu tastes a lot like cardboard, but if you go, you have to have one of the delicious milkshakes.
Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong: - My room was next to the elevator, which was incredibly loud, and went up and down/opened and closed the doors though no one was riding it. I couldn't sleep a wink. - When I asked to change rooms, I was accomodated, but put next to a group of people partying in the next room until late at night. - The air conditioning in BOTH rooms was...
The hotel seems nice. We were awoken at 8:45 a.m. on a Sunday morning by a cleaning person. Worse than that, we woke up to find a bedbug on our comforter that had gorged itself on blood all night. When it was killed, it was filled with the blood of either me or my wife (perhaps both).
Amazing food great atmosphere wonderful people. If you haven't tried Strong heart's yet you must do so as soon as possible!
I was helpling my daughter move after graduation. I stayed one night an was looking forward to sleep for a couple hours in the morning but was awaked with the sound of the vacuum cleaner in the corridor. But after that the hotel had been renovated and is beautiful, the staff super friendly.
Short drive to University , clean room , fast check-in/checkout.reasonable rate.
Amazing French Toast. Don't be afraid to try this place if you're not Vegan.
The limited food service is excellent and a first class restaurant is available in the hotel next door. The hotel has been tastefully renovated and has ample free parking and a very obliging staff.
I wanted a hotel that was close to Syracuse University but wasn't too expensive and this hotel worked out perfectly. The room was quite big and had a nice flat panel TV. The refrigerator was also handy. I only wish the room had queen size beds instead of full size. There was plenty of room for the bigger beds. I would still stay here again, though.
Hotel was in a great location in Syracuse. Rooms were spacious, clean and new.
The staff here was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean, nice art deco tiles in the bathroom. The best part was the cafe off the lobby. They actually served decent food (nice pastries, veggie sandwiches, salads, specialty coffees) for not outrageous prices and the staff there was also very friendly.[...]it was a lovely place to stay. There's even a vegan cafe two doors away!...
I make it a point to stay at the Parkview Hotel every time I am in Syracuse for business. I really love how clean, and beautiful the rooms are. And for the price it can not be beat. The location is right near the highway and very close to some wonderful restaurants. The in house cafe is also quite good for those who do not want to venture out- but it closes a bit on the early side. I look...
After attending Syracuse University for undergrad, I knew the Parkview existed but I hadn't really heard much about it. I recently visited campus for a weekend and was delighted to find the Parkview advertised for significantly lower rates than then other downtown and campus area hotels. The service was great and the location of the hotel is very convenient (pretty much equal distance between...
Hotel was nice, located a few blocks away from campus. Stayed one night. I would stay there again.
this hotel was great. the staff was attentive and friendly, there was a free shuttle that took us downtown, and the rooms were large, modern, and clean.
we stopped in on a Friday night which happens to be vegan pizza night. We shared four pizzas. The best was the "chicken wing" pizza but all were yummy. The regular menu looks great, although heavy on the faux meats. They have about 30 vegan milkshake options. For Syracuse this place is amazing.
Very impressed by how clean and new the rooms were. I think they've been remodeled recently. The room was large enough and very roomy in its organization. It's located very close to the highway, which was nice for us since we had to catch a flight the next morning. Even though it's close to a major road, it was very quiet and peaceful. Excellent place to stay.
Great location close to downtown Syracuse and Syracuse University. Spacious rooms with kitchenette updated bathrooms and very quiet. The hotel is Art Deco style throughout, and gives a feel from an era gone by. The coffee shop is excellent.
Friday night is pizza night.....yum!0
Great food, atmosphere, and staff
We discovered this hotel as we were looking for a hotel within walking distance of Syracuse Stage and the Syracuse Drama Department Theatre. This fit the bill. Rooms are comfortable, a good size and quiet. The bathrooms could use more counter space, but that is the least of my worries. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed the hotel each time we have stayed.
i was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel!!!! The towels and linen were very clean and i enjoyed the comfort of your beautiful king size beds!
Walking distance to university and hospital, quiet, clean, wireless in all rooms, great cafe on premises
The lady at check inn didnt seem all that nice, but other than that the hotel was really nice. elevators shut down at night so if i had to get anything from the car it was 5 flights of stairs up and down, which wasnt bad for me. finding food was a little difficult, but its all located on rt 5. although the hotel dining was decent.
The hotel is cool, just because it is a updated art deco building. There is parking right out back and access through doors with the hotel keys. The rooms are really nice, and a steal for the price. The neighborhood is alright, close to the University and around a lot of businesses so it becomes a ghost town after 5:00. Very safe though.
Very nice and clean place. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms are very spacious and well equiped - though the flat TV-screen is a bit small for the large room. The only point I could criticize is the poor sound insulation of the sewer pipe from upper floors which ran through the room.
Everything was spotless and the staff very nice and efficient. Our only problem was that the blanket and linen for the kingsized bed was not kingsized, so they pulled out and exposed the mattress, an unsanitary situation.
Parkview was a suprise for the price. Very friendly staff in a beautiful old bulding restored in great taste. The location is great for downtown stays with easy acsess to the hi-ways.
hotel is great for no frills but real nice stay. bathrooms are REAL nice. rooms are large. Staff is courteous. Parking is free! price is right (always could be lower!).
The Perfect Hotel for Syracuse University Visits. Good Location, Nice clean and refurnished Rooms. Reasonable rates and good parking. Thanks for a nice stay once again.
...when we booked the room they advertised free breakfast with the room. When we arrived they no longer offered breakfast with the room and would not honor what their add said at the time of booking. I found this very annoying. The hotel was otherwise nice but just the lack of curtesy was very much a put off.
