# place to go for Mexican food... #1 is my kitchen! Lol!
Try the table-side guacamole. It's performance art that you can eat afterwards.
This place was terrible!!! Pros: NONE AT ALL!!!! Cons: EVERYTHING!!!

Friend from the area recommended--so I went--well worth the drive and there was so much food! Chicken burritos-rich and tasty and the homeade chips/salsa...
Several of us went to this restaurant to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone's dinner was awesome. I had the Shrimp, beef and chicken fajitas. Absolutely incredible. And the Margaritas weren't to bad either.
A usually great restaurant didn't make the cut this time. Very light crowd, food took too long to get there and wasn't even close to what was ordered. The waiter offered to 'fix' it but I didn't have the time...you get one shot especially when there is no crowd.
Best staff, better service and really great food. The Shrimp/ steak kebab is too tasty to describe. Chips drinks it just cannot get any better..
We went on Easter Sunday and was surprised that the restaurant was mindful that there would be families with children there. They had someone dressed as the Easter bunny. Really good food.
Pretty good texmex, but it is not Mexican food-- also, underwhelming service. So my tip is: don't expect totally Mexican food, and don't expect to be whelmed by service. No whelming happens here.read full review »

We live in another state and drive to Dallas just to eat at this restuarant! We love it. The food is always good. We went on a recent Saturday afternoon and met friends for lunch. They never rushed us out. The food is pricier but you get large portions.
A disappointing, sub-par Sat. night at PC.
Partly our fault for arriving at 7:00pm, although our wait time was only ~ 20 minutes.
A packed house and waiter confusion led to an incorrect drink order, incorrect / mixed-up entree orders, and a MIA entree that finally came after everyone else was halfway thru their meal. "...It's coming right out..." was...
Large portions of food. Average mexican food at best. The only thing as great was handmade tortillas!!
Try the Combination Fajitas - Lunch Special with bacon wrapped shrimps! Dang! (via @Foodspotting)

The food here is good but waaayy overpriced. Good fajitas, homemade tortillas, strong margaritas, good chips and salsa. The only thing I've tried that I...
I had been told about Pappacito's by some work mates that it was the place to go to for Mexican food in the Dallas area. So meeting up with some friends while in town they recommended that we go there to eat. To put it mildly it was a fantastic experience.
First of all the look of the building when...
I should have tried something else, instead of Burrito
I tried the seafood enchiladas and oh boy were they good!! But why the 2 stars you ask?? Because of the ignorant staff who provided less than the middle...
Authentic Mexican dishes with a great frozen Sangria Margarita
We had a Birthday party here for my 85 year old mother. This was our second party to host here an they are the best. Food was great, the room set-up and decor are beautiful, the service is very attentive. Great experience both times!! Highly recommend!!
I had no problems with the service, the young lady was excellent. But she does not have control over oily chips. They glistened with oil. And they are very thin. Salsa was bland. We both had the chicken and shrimp fajitas. They were good. But the prices were absurd! You can get just as good of food somewhere else for...
I hear lots of great things about this restaurant first time to eat here. (love Pappadeux). So was really looking forward to eating hear. Hubby has eaten at other locations and loves them so first for him here. All I can say was it was OK...wasn't great, wasn't spectacular, was just OK!! It wasn't busy, busy, so service should have...
when ordering the from the lunch menu, order the small fajitas. the size is equal to most other places regular fajitas! lots of food! love the garlic butter they add on the side.
Pappasitos is a good Mexican restaurant, but there is a lot of Meixcan in Texas. For a chain reastaurant, they are the best in my opinion. Only place for fajitas and margaritas though.
There was a 15-20 min wait at 7:30 at night. Alittle loud in the main room but food was great at always.
Good food and a happening place at night. Dallas Tex/Mex at its best but try to arrive slightly after or before peak hours as this place can get crowded in a big hurry and that ups the noise level quite a bit.
Last night of our stay for bedlum weekend we decided to take food to go. We sat at the bar and the staff was helpful in suggesting food selections. We ordered two entrees and an order of fish tacos. They also included chips and salsa....yummmm. Lots of food for a snack later
The food was excellent. Since this was a late lunch/early dinner, we were unsure about what to order. Pete, our waiter, gave us great suggestions. One order of the medium faquitas with shrimp filled both of us. The chips with the salsa verde were probably the best we had since being in Texas for the last three weeks.
The food was great, the staff was great and I will be headed back there on my next trip to Dallas!!!!
The food here is so mediocre. The salsa was the worst I've ever tasted. The only thing that was halfway decent was the guac. Margaritas were sickening sweet. Overall pretty bad.
We sat at the bar and so much fun watching drinks prepared we decided to eat there. The drinks were yummy and different and the bar staff gave us little treats to try. Our dinners were wonderful and huge, so no room for dessert. Big college football weekend so the crowd was super friendly. Great vibe.
Bret is a WONDERFUL WAITER in the bar area LOVE HIM
The best Tex-Mex ever
This is excellent food. I always order the seafood enchiladias. Their chips are thin and warm. As with the other Papas restaurants, it is very hard to carry on a conversation due to the noise. Still go as the food is worth it.
food was not as good as advertised and service was slow even though it was not crowded. prices were too high and i left disappointed. i will not go back to waste my money.
We love Pappasito's!! When we lived a little closer it was our regular night out place for dinner! This was for my birthday, which made it even more enjoyable
I've been enjoying the Tex-Mex dishes at Pappasito's across Texas (and Marietta, GA) since the early 1980s, and on this particular occasion I was at their location in Dallas while I was visiting my brother and his wife. The quality, quantity, favors and variety at Pappasito's continue to be my favorite of all Tex-Mex restaurants I go to. Friends of...
One of my family members loves this place so much and to my dismay we go more than I'd like. I often opt out of the family event if we are going to Pappasito’s. It is noisy in the restaurant. This last visit...I never had my tea refilled and we have to ask for refills on the salsa because the...
Regardless of the type of cuisine, this is a great restaurant choice, period. A great atmosphere, quality service and consistently good food make this a destination for those staying within the area and for those "hankering" Mexican food.
I've been going to Pappasito's for the past five years, and consistently seek out the chain when I dine in major Texas cities. I particularly enjoy the fajitas, and the salsa is one of the best out there. It's one of those restaurants where no particular entree is particularly out of this world, but everything is very good, and made...
Loved the margaritas, and enjoyed some delicious salsas, guacamole & fish tacos. I was here with a big group and the staff was very accomodating and curteous. Service was prompt and made for a good experience overall.
The golden margaritas set the stage for a memorable evening, our last night in Dallas as a family. We enjoyed all four of the Pappas restaurants off interstate 35 between our hotel and the convention center. The salsas were just so-so but the fajitas more than made up for it. Our seven year old with a sensitive palate was able...
We love, love, love this restaurant. From the freshly made tortillas to the margaritas, everything is delicious. Atmosphere is good, but they keep the tables pretty close together, so your "neighbors" can easily hear your conversations.
The food was disgusting. I just tried the chips and salsa and left due to the horrible quality of food. I tried three different sauces and they all were terrible. Should have drove down the street and had some Taco Bell instead.
Ask for Emma - She's amazing, gracious with a big beautiful smile
I'm a huge fan of all the "Pappa" restaurants, but this Pappasito's location needs more servers! Don't go in there and expect fast service, unless it's lunch time! Dinner service draaags! The…
If you're in Dallas-Ft. Worth for a stop over, visit Pappasito's in terminal A. www.pappasitos.com/location/?id=118
The atmosphere is nice and you can get free wi-fi while you are eating or drinking. We went through there four times in the past month and enjoyed our time there.
I've been wanting to try to eat here so I did and I'm glad I did! The food was great, the location is convenient, the server was trying hard to attend to us even though the place was packed! I didn't like the fresh squeezed lemonade though. It was too strong and didn't have sugar, I drank it without warning!...
I am really glad I dined at this restaurant, where you can get excellent Mexican food plus excellent seafood. The chimichanga was really, really good and the tortilla chips were a welcome change from the usual. The water fountain display was a nice addition.
We were looking for a restaurant for our daughter and her friend as they were driving through Dallas recently. We found Pappasito's and were impressed by their convenient location and extensive menu. We were even more impressed with the response we received from their manager, Mary. When we called to make a reservation, Mary could not have more accommodating. She...
I don't expect much from most airport restaurants but Pappasitos at DFW is definitely an exception. The two combos that we tried were both excellent as were the Margaritas.
As might be expected, the atmosphere was a bit frenetic but the service was prompt and efficient. If you have a wait a DFW Terminal A, give Pappasitos a try. I...
Excellent food, excellent service! Portions are large so my husband and I shared a lunch plate along with a side of guacamole. Love the mojitos!
No, its not a quaint yet to be discovered local secret Yeah, its part of a chain. But it's very good food (always excellent guacamole) with fast service at a reasonable price. If traditional
Texmex isn't your thing try some of the other options.
Beer is cold.
Margharitas are good.
When I travel to a city that has a Pappacitos I make a point to eat here. Not a big fan of chain restaurants, but the Pappas franchise is absolutely the best. I have never ordered anything that wasn't excellent. Even the sides that normally get overlooked are top notch. Love it!
Love the chips and salsa. The enchiladas and tacos were good, but
if you are really hungry the brisket tacos are mini tacos (really small
tortillas) and will not leave you satisfied. The ambiance is nice and the overall experience was good.
Service was great. Also the chips and salsa were good. Chicken fajitas were moist and delicious. Shrimp were a little overcooked. Would reccomend just dont get shrimp.
Pappasito's has the BEST mexican cuisine in Texas. The prices have gone up a bit in the past few months, but it is still very reasonably priced for what you get. The food is always good and prepared just as I expect from one visit to the next. Whenever we have guests in town, this is the first place we...
Close to the best mexican I've had. They make all the tortillas in house. The queso with beef is worthy of a meal in itself. The beef in the fajitas was great quality and well flavoured. Tables were a bit small but service was friendly.
A salad luch and a Margarita, yummm!!! The server was friendly and asked about where I had been today.
Great shrimp enchilidas. Service was a little slow but overall good.
Eat here. You'll love it!
The salsa served with the chips was served warm. Had an odd flavor to us.
Had a combination plate - enchiladas, taco and tamale.
Plenty of food, but I found the flavors lacking. The enchiladas were the best, but needed lots of onions on top to make them better. Have had much better tamales. The taco was average.
When you are at DFW, you need to stop at gate A28, where Pappasitas is located. Great service, food and spirits!
Last month we were in Dallas for 4 days, and went to Pappasito's twice.
Ask for warm tortillas and butter while you wait for your meal, so delicious.
My favorite is the Ixtapa Beef taco, perfect.
I can't wait to get back.
Pappa's does restaurants right. Friendly staff, great food, fun atmosphere. I don't usually visit the same restaurant twice on a trip, but I do when I'm near a Pappa's restaurant.
Hanging with my homies. Thank you so much to them for getting me out. I need it.
One of our favorite places for family night. Always ask for Ambrosio! Great waiter! :)
Brisket enchiladas...very very yummy!
One thing we MUST do on every visit to Dallas is to eat Tex Mex. Our three favorite places are Uncle Julio’s, On The Border, and Pappacito's. Lately we have been skipping the first two spots because we crave the food at Pappacito's and never have too wait long to be fed. Our normal thing is to order a double...
Yummmmmy. Salsa, fajitas, & quesidillas! One of my fave Mexican restuarants in Dallas!
Even before it was on the menu, our family favorite is the Fiesta platter. It has just a bit of everything including quail, shrimp, fajitas. Each diner gets their own plate of sides. Its a wow kinda meal.
This was a great experience for us! Food was great and Service was great!
Diablo Shrimp FOR THE WIN....YES!!!
Best Mexican (Tex-Mex) restaurant in Dallas, especially fajitas!
Our family's favorite Mexican (Tex-Mex). Wish there was one closer to our home!
Ask for Bret. Best server they have!
Ask for Ambrosio - Amazing service - best around!
Stopped in for fajitas, great idea, had the beef/chicken combo, great meal, tender, juicy, great portions for a hungry appetite. Great atmosphere, very professional waiter. This is a great Mexican…
We order appetizers and share as entrees!
Wednesday nights after 5pm half price fajitas!
The fajitas are great.
Had an early dinner with my fiance after the Mavs parade. As usual, great food! The beef enchilladas are my favorite and they have never failed to arrive hot. Beans and rice complements are perfect. My finance had a grilled shrimp dish was she rated as good as it gets.\r
As usual the servings are huge! Only suggestion would be to server smaller portions and lower the price. Then we could rate even higher for better value.
We went to Pappasitos for Christmas dinner. The place was fairly packed, but the service was decently fast. We had a group of 8, and were able to reserve a table in advance so it was ready when we…
Pappasito's has great Tex-Mex, growing up in southern California I am used to taquerias and "real" Mexican food (like menudo and boliquesos). However Pappasito's doesn't pretend to be real Mexican and it serves great tex-mex food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere and service was great, I could definitely see having a great birthday here or large party.
Very clean with friendly service. I would come back to try more.
Pappasito's is one of my favorite places to eat. Their food is amazing and very reasonably priced. I have to be careful though because the chips and salsa are so good that I might fill up on those…
Yummy food! Great service
Great food, great service, great prices.
Good foodgreat drinksa tad overpriced and the servers are all very excited to be theretableside guac was awesome!!I'd recommend even though it had all the airs of any old chain restaurant
Was wonderful experience ... Great great food!!! Went after the lunch rush on...
Had to be the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted. There are too many other...
The service was great. The food was fresh with tasty seasonings.
Service was great and food was fresh! Would recommend to anyone.
the food is awesome, especially the fajitas! It is our favorite mexican restaurant.
Welcome back Bret, we have missed you very much. We always request your section because you are the best waiter there. You know exactly how we like our food, you keep our glasses full and you have a very pleasant attitude. Please don't leave again. We had stopped going as much as we did because we couldn't get the kind of service we were accustomed too with you. Edith Auston and Robert Parrish
I felt crammed next to every other table surrounding me. Each table I know...
I used to live in Texas and I think Pappasito's was the best. Ate there frequently and loved it everytime!
i noticed all the bad reviews and thought it very strange. I have been here several times and I love it. I will admit the wait staff is not the best, but it no worse than any other restaurant of this type. The food has always been good, and their tableside guac is awesome. I admit it is a little pricey but they have some decent lunch specials.
+ awesome food, good margaritas, good lunch specials
- a bit noisy, staff can be slow
Always superb mexican food that is presented nicely. The homemade tortilla and the warm salsa is great. Their swirl margaritas are really tasty. This is a restaurant that I take out of town visitors to if they're in the mood for mexican food.
My favorite food is Mexican food and when I want the best I come to this Pappasito's Rest. The servers are warm and friendly. We didn't have to ask for refills on chips, salsa or tea. She even preprared our food to go with extra chips and salsa. I will frequent this restaurant for Mexican food at all times.
Took the office out for a great Christmas lunch. Pappasito's is always a good choice. Great food. Great atmosphere. Get there early for lunch. It's in a popular office and industrial area and lots of people go there. Good service too.
Pretty good food here. The bar is very smokey though if there is anybody smoking. Poor venalation. The waiters are really personable and good with the customers. I'd say the food is decent but not the best ever.
Jenn C was kind enough to set up this uye to introduce me to Dallas yelpers and tex-mex :)I was entranced by their tortilla machine, it was soo cool to see little balls of dough go in the top and…
Pappasitos is never a let down. The service and food are fabulous and the desserts to die for and all can be shared. It has a great varied menu. Never a disappointment!!!
Service is horrible, food is just ok, specials are overpriced. This is bar far the worst offering of there chains in the city. Last time we were there for saturday lunch, 2 hours. Managements was brought to the table 2 times requesting the check. We were about to walk out, thank god I had cash. Dont even want to think about having to pay with credit.
+ Fajitis, shrimp
- salsa, service, anything else on the menu
It was abosoultly horrible. I am appalled at their service. It was disgusting food. And what made me really mad was the hostess jessica. She was really rude. If you hate yourself defeltiy go to papasittos.
+ thumbs down
- thumbs down
Pappasito's is the best mexican food in town. Very nice atmosphere, fast and friendly staff and the fajitas and shrimp bouquettes are simply scrumptious. This is great anytime! Especially Valentine's Day. My wife and I will go again and again.
This place was terrible!!!\r
I went there for lunch was seated rather promptly in about 20 minutes. The waiter was not attentive and only came by a few times (in between breaks of doing narcotics). When the food was served 25 minutes after ordering it was greasy as can be and had been under a heat lamp for at least 15 minutes. I never got one refill and I could not even digest the food that tasted like eating the grease straight from the grease trap itself! After sitting for another 40 minutes our waiter comes by with the check (obviously high). Then the waiter disappears again for...

I knew they wouldn't let me down. After a two year absence, business facilitates my return to the DFW area, and dining at Papasitos. Positively the very best in Tex-Mex offered by any chain - anywhere. The service couldn't be better by any restaurant, regardless of price, or cuisine.
The cheese enchiladas are some of the best around. The salsa has kind of a barbeque twang to it that I like as well.
blah: Food is average at best; service is good; watch out for pieces of plastic in the food.
We love this restaurant!: The food and the service is wonderful!
Excellent: I have to say that this is the best mexican food I've ever had. The environment was nice also.
Nothing compares to these fajitas!: I recommend the Del Mar plate it has Brochette Shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon that are so good you'll wonder how they did it, also has a heaping pile of fajita meat with all the extras! Oh, did I mention the best chips and salsa I've ever come across in these here United States! By the way the Del Mar isn't even on the menu, just ask your...
Great Mexican food for lunch. They have fast service, good prices and a fun atmosphere. The wait staff is very nice and really attentive. There is a fountain outside and a patio if it is a nice day. Really good overall!
If you LOVE mexican food... this is the place for you! Its a bit over priced IMO but definitley worth it with the nice staff and atmosphere. Its great. Love the queso! Go there!
The waiters are always friendly, the service is almost always prompt. The food is wonderful and will never leave you hungry when you finally leave after a meal and free chips.
