The experience that I had at the Omni was wonderful. Went there for an anniversary banquet and the decorations and the food were wonderful. The staff was very professional.

Back in July I went to the bar to meet up with some friends. The bartender was was a young Spanish guy that kept us entertained. He even bought us a few drinks. This is the first hotel bar that has really exceeded my expectations.

Recently for a company conference, I had to go around downtown charlotte to find a "modern" hotel. I checked and visited all I could, and I was very impressed with the Omni!! I think it is the best in charlotte. Clean and New, and right in the middle of everything, great location.

We recently stayed at the hotel this past Sept '02 and thought it was great! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our room (a jr suite with a corner view) was excellent. Our bed WAS triple sheeted and we found extra pillows and robes in the closet. The only downfall was room service which was rather pricey for the quality- while my husband's steak was good, my chicken pasta was... more

Some Girlfriends and I wanted to have a girls weekend in downtown Charlotte with the spas, and fine dinning. I made a reservation and specifically stated that we needed a suite. When I arrived there. the manager informed me that there were no Suites available. and that this hotel was for Business Class people only.and that the Suites are never used. I usually stay at cheap hotels because that's what my budget allows. This being a special weekend, I decided to splurge and go to Omni. The difference - $65 I didn't need to spend. Both types of hotels are comprapal in cleanliness and service (although the cheap hotels don't lock you out at 6:45). But more importantly the bed at the Omni was as hard as a rock! The most important part of a hotel... more

Our first introduction to this hotel is that there was NO shuttle from/to airport. Next, there was a charge to park the car and the garage was poorly marked.

Our first desk person told us a kind bedroom was not available, only two doubles. (claims it was only a request as we booked online) I went to the car, to get my husband and when we returned, another person waited on us and was able to... more

Though the hotel was nice, I was glad we booked for a more reasonable rate. The room service was excellent, and the best was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

This Omni left me very dissapointed. The only reason I am going back is because they have a special rate for my customer's customer, but that's it. The "business center" is an almost hidden, small room with poor lighting and a pay as you go computer. If you want to connect your notebook, you pay. Want to use the computer, you pay. I loved everything. The staff was terrific. I had multiple problems with the key card and the staff was super patient. The room service was outstanding and I loved the little touches, like fresh flowers on the tray every morning. They provided great service.

This hotel made me feel content: The place was safe, friendly and I never experienced an unfulfilled request.

The shower would not hold a constant temperature. It fluctuated from cold to scalding hot. The climate control until made too much noise. Room was clean and tastefully appointed. Nice bed.

Over-priced and Disappointing

For a luxury hotel, it was anything but luxury. You can see the patchwork in the ceiling in the bathroom, the beds were uncomfortable, the restaurant menu was very limited and the pool was not as nice as it looks on the website.

"Stayed at this hotel on a last-minute trip downtown to visit friends. Got a great rate. Location was great, rooms were very clean, bed was fantastic! Best hotel bed we ever slept in. Temperature of water in shower fluctuated quite a bit, and parking was expensive. Parking deck was confusing in terms of accessing the hotel. Overall a nice stay, esp. for a last-minute decision."

"The rooms were nice and clean except the bathroom had some waters stains from the leaking shower head on which I notified the front desk and no one ever came to fix it. Also the staff acted as if they could not be bothered and one staff member asked me to get off an elevator and wait for the next one because she had to bring up a lot of luggage, heaven forbid she wait."

I had very bad service. The 3rd shift people are very rude. The rooms are really little. You have to pay 12 dollars a day to park, we stay for only one night so that was 12$ when you check in and 12$ when you check out.

"I will never stay at this place again. The room was really little, people where loud, there was a check in my mirrow. The 3rd shift guy was really rude, I over heard him cussing someone on his cell phone. I had a question to ask and he made wait until he was done talking on his cell phone before he would help me. The 2nd shift guys was really nice and helpful."
