Amazing Ethopian!
Nyala is my favorite on the Fairfax strip. As a transplanted New Yorker with a taste for Ethiopain food. I couldn't suggest a better place in LA. It's the perfect spot to bring Vegetarians. I was also impressed with the somewhat stylish decor.
Great Ethiopian Restaurant
Nyala is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant. The portions are generous and extremely tasty/spicy. Definitelty stop by during the weekday lunch vegetarian buffet; it's a real bargain. Always order the Ethiopian coffee when you're done with dinner!
Good Ethiopian food
Lunch is a great value with an all you can eat vegetarian buffet. They also make great Doro Wat and lamb Tibs. Ethiopian wines are also served. After dinner order some amazing strong Ethiopian coffee and have it brought on a tray with frankincense on a small incense burner. Great way to end a meal.

This isn't the best Ethiopian food I've ever had. They didn't have the yogurt sauce I thought of as a requirement to eat with this food. They served plain ice burg grocery store bought in the bag style lettuce on the injira. My boyfriend loved the lettuce and ate it all but I wasn't impressed. Easily, the best Ethiopian in Los Angeles. Fresh ingredients, flavorful cooking, and clean presentations. As spicy and incredible as the meat creations are (the doro wot just melts in your mouth), the vegetable dishes are superb. Pleasant service, and a nice environment make this a great, unique dining option when trendy is tired and you just don't want the hassle of "fine."

Not ususally a fan of ethiopian food this place was quite good and served reasonable portions for the price. The decor is a little strange; I was seated next to a giant plant that was placed so that it was like another person at the table. They had clean bathrooms which is a definite plus when its finger food.
