A very nice weekend spent at the Marriott.
The rooms were very nice and the staff was always close-by to monitor our experience. It was a VERY HOT weekend and the inside of the lobby heated a lot during the day, but the whole town was sweltering. thanks Marriottt!

The first two nights we stayed in Memphis were the cheapest places we could find. Both were fine and we felt safe (a lady at the airport had us afraid because Memphis is apparently so dangerous.) We liked this hotel! We stayed here for two nights and made use of the pool, restaurant and bar during our stay. It was easy to find and check-in was smooth. stayed at this hotel June 14-18 and was disappointed. I arrived at 2 p.m. on Saturday and my room wasn't ready, although some of my party did get a room. Everyday I was in the room I had to call downstairs for towels - somedays I didn't get bathcloths, other days I didn't get a tub mat, some days I didn't have a bath towel. This was a nice hotel, well located on the trolley line. However, it was very expensive and they charge for internet both in room and in the business center--outrageous this day an age. Some great things were free laundry and a nice fitness center and pool. The parking was very expensive, too.

Very disappointed in the 3-star rating. Not convenient to most downtown, and room was falling apart. Closest door was off the track; coffee maker leaked; maids barely made the beds; had to ask to get enough towels for the 4 of us repeatedly. Pool and hot tub area not kept cleaned, and dirty dishes lined the hallways all day.

We had stayed there 2 1/2 years ago, and I don't remember it being as rundown as it was this past weekend. When we checked in, the front desk staff was not exactly friendly.
