I went there with my hunny on our 2 year anniversary. We are both vegetarians and wanted to choose a place that would suit our pallets. We chose this joint and it was great. The hummus appetizers were delicious and the pizza we ordered was great! They offer a wide variety of different pizzas.

The atmosphere is pretty cool too. It has a hippy vibe, which I dig.

Mellow Mushroom is a new restaurant on the University of Kentucky campus. The concept is interesting, the food is pretty good, and the pricing is reasonable. The menu selections are unique and vast.

The one complaint that I have is the internal temperature of the restaurant. I've dined in at Mellow Mushroom twice, yet will not go there again because the restaurant is SO uncomfortably cold!!

We have to make sure they know its vegan so butter is added. A no cheese vegan pizza is delicious but at the least it going to cost $16. They have Kentucky Bourbon Barrell Beer on tap!!!Great choices for toppings and fun decor. Quote way too long on carryout and is usually cold.

I have had Mellow Mushroom in Atlanta (where they were founded) and was so happy when they opened one in Lexington. Great small, family owned atmosphere and a great variety of the freshest toppings I have ever seen. My girlfriend and I have been to Mellow Mushroom twice in the last month and each time we enjoyed a great meal. There is a great selection of eclectic pizzas, as well as a variety of micro-brewed beers that really hit the spot.
