The Scene Seems like there's always a line outside this crazy castle. Comedy connoisseurs queue up early for the best seats to see today's brightest new stand-ups. Arrive late or without a reservation and you may be banished to an upstairs Siberia. Like the Comedy Store, its rival just down the Strip, this place is legendary--and knows it. Be prepared for a bit of attitude from the staff ... more

the laugh factory gets some awesome acts, but its location is less than optimal. to see a show you have to venture in to the heart of hollywood-traffic is crazy-and parking is difficult and expensive. the seating is cramped and drinks are limited and expensive-however you will laugh.

I've been to The Comedy and Magic Club and The Hollywood Improv, so I decided to try the Laugh Factory because I have heard that it is a good place. I could not have been more disappointed.

Dane Cook . . . need I say more. He was so funny and energetic, actually all the comics were. We went on a friday night (my hubby and I). We were there at 8:45pm to buy tickets. Big mistake MAKE RESERVATIONS or you will have to wait in a longer line. Luckily the awsome bouncer felt bad for us and allowed us to buy VIP tickets and let us stay first in line. I'm glad that others see the c@!%!y service and even city search admits it too that the customer service reaks really bad. When you make your reservations, talk to them like your're talking to Helen Keller because they are really slow (even the manager is too). I went to the Laugh Factory not too long ago and I waited outside for like an hour, waited even longer to get a drink, then the "comedy" show wasn't even that hot. It was a full-on waste of money and I was very disappointed with the whole experience. The ENTIRE staff was rude, the chairs were uncomfortable and unpleasant. Don't waste your money.

Well I just turned 18 so I was stoked to finally be able to get into the Laugh Factory, it was well worth the wait. I went on a Tuesday night to see Jay Davis and Godfrey. I love the high energy these comics had. My advice would be to get some seats in the front for some good laughs. Besides the 2 drink minimum the place was amazing and very inexpensive. This is a must go to in LA.

I went to Chocolate Sundaes a couple weeks ago. A sorority was there and the jokes were just outrageous. The comedian that went last, David Arnold, was HILARIOUS. I went to The Laugh Factory with my husband Tuesday night and we had an incredible time. We were sitting right next to Laura Prepon and Danny Masterson from That 70's show. The other times we were there we also saw celebs like Vince Neil from Motley Crue, and Ryan Cabrera and Ashlee Simpson. The atmosphere is really nice and the service is great. It's an over-all good time!

I had a really good time at this club. I went to see Dane Cook and was given really great seats near the front of the stage. The drinks were great. Dane is really hot, and the comics that opened for him were hilarious. If you're into clubbing like me it's a great place to go to before you hit the other night clubs.

Don't get the VIP tickets!

Review Rating

Paying extra for VIP tickets gets you in earlier so you can hang out in the lounge and get preferential seating as opposed to waiting outside in line. It's so not worth it - you're upstairs with people already occupying tables for the first show and you can't even get bar service. It got really crowded and hot with so many people in that "lounge."
