I have used several florists in the Austin areas but none were ever as consistent as King Florist.

Whenever I call (I'm sorry, V-Day, Anniversary, etc.) they are ready to help. Not only do they help me pick an arrangement but they keep track of previous orders so I don't accidntally duplicate one (big plus for forgetful folks like myself).

The flowers King Florist helped me pick out were perfect! I wanted to give a friend who landed her dream job something colorful and unique. They gave suggestions, loosly arranged some different combinations so I could envision how it would look, and helped me achieve what I was looking for. It was a bright blue hyndrangea, orange roses, and fushia orchid stems. My friend loved it and got compliments all day on it. The customer service was wonderful and the arrangment was gorgeous!

I got an arrangement last week for my husband's retirement party. I just want to say that it was a beautiful arrangement and matched perfectly to the cake and other decorations. Many people complimented me on the flowers. The yellow orchids and the ginger blooms were outstanding. The delivery was made earlier than requested, which allowed us to set up in plenty of time.\r

I just completed my first purchase with King Florist and I am completely impressed! I purchased a Groupon to send a surprise bouquet to my Mom just because. When I called, Janelle was extremely helpful and offered great suggestions. There are some excellent florists in Austin....in fact, more great shops concentrated in Austin than in Dallas, Houston, or any other Texas city, probably because of the artistic vibe of Austin itself. I think of Cowgirls & Flowers, Coby Neal, David Kurio, and several others as being great, but the absolute BEST in town and maybe the entire state of Texas, is KING FLORIST. I found King of Yelp and they had great reviews and a coupon so I gave them a call. My sister's birthday was the following day and Lynsey was able to recommend an arrangement that my sister absolutely loved. She sent me a picture (since I live in Washington) and they certainly looked beautiful.

After recently moving to Austin, I was looking for a great florist to connect with. I found King Florist after 4 days of being here! They have amazing designs and extremely fresh product. I have had the pleasure of watching them work, and literally every flower is carefully inspected and cleaned before it goes into an arrangement. I could not be more disappointed. My husband knew both of the prior owners, who delivered amazing bouquets. This year he spent $211 dollars, and if I could show you what they delivered, you'd cry. He told them I love lilies, and they told him they don't have anything other than ""teacup lillies"", but that's not what we got. For $200 we got 20 calla lillies and a few white carnations. Seriously? Number one, they didn't tell a dude that they would send a tiny funeral arrangement (and by tiny, I mean TINY) nor did they send anything that measured less than 14""high by 14"" tall by 5"" wide. My hustband would always bring home roses and I was so burnt out, that I haven't had a rose in My house for over 8 months..... that is until King florist! I never recieved the same design twice. If you are looking for a no hassle, last minute florist with an extremely professional experience, then King Florist is the shop you should use. I called with less than 24 hour notice and requested 34 dozen roses. I also told the shop that ""I may need them, but I would call with a 1.5 hour notice."" Not only did they agree to these terms, but King Florist was extremely professional, pleasant, and on time. I give them the highest recommendation possible.

All I asked for is a large bunch of Dutch tulips in a vase anchored with stones delivered the next day. My office staff all chipped in an AMAZINGLY beautiful arrangement for our manager for Boss's Day. Because of all the rave reviews posted here, I selected this florist to make a wrist corsage for my wedding. It was made of tiny orange orchids, quite pretty but so small it had no visual impact whatsoever. I was very disappointed. It was probably 2"" x 2"" at the most and had ribbon ties to hold it on that I felt would simply get in my food at our dinner. I had to turn it into a hair ornament and purchase a small bouquet at another florist for our ceremony. I would certainly be more specific about my order next time but will likely not use King Florist again.

I have been getting my flowers at King florist since I moved to Austin in 2004. I really like the friendly folks in the store and the fact that if you have the time, you can watch your bouquet being made. Mostly I used to call in most of my orders until I got on their website and now, I go online for my orders. My favorite is the ""Moulin Rouge,"" and the ""Rose Cube."" I ordered three simple bouquets, three boutonnieres, 2 corsages, one hairpiece, and 2 long stem roses for our wedding ceremony. All were simple, but elegant--exactly what I wanted--and the price/value was great. Excellent service too. Four days after the wedding, the two long stem roses used in the ceremony were still beautiful. I will use this florist again.

I guess I had done the typical guy thing and put my foot in my mouth yet again. I knew that I needed to do more than just apologize to my fiance. I looked King up online and their website showed flowers that really stood out from the usual carnation stuff. Ordered an orchid vase with an ""I'm sorry"" message on the card and she was floored.
Not only did she forgive me, but she told all her friends about the cool arrangement.
If you want something different, give them a try.
