Great Service

I travel all over the Midwest and this is my favorite place to stay. The rooms are nice enough but its the service you get here that I love most. The doorman is always helpful, they know me by name, give me upgrades, etc. It also seems to be the place for business. The hotel lobby has a water atrium, bar and lots of good looking people. I usually get my room for $150 a night. I highly... more

Had our wedding guests stay at the hotel and everyone raved about it. Great location, wonderful facilities (although no pool), and fun hotel lounges. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel to all.

Loved the InterContinental Milwaukee

We stayed at the InterContinental for 4 nights during the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary. We really wanted to stay downtown so we could walk to the Lakefront and Summerfest Grounds for the festivities and were lucky that we were able to find a hotel downtown. From the second we arrived at the curb to the moment we left the property,... more

Because I travel very often, I am often suprised at how mediocre a hotel can be--not at Intercontinetal Downtown Milwaukee, you will not be disappointed. Let's start with the check in: Very friendly hotel reception--instantly upgraded me to a suite. The lobby is huge with many comfortable areas to sit and relax, nice bar, friendly bar staff, plasma tvs everywhere,... more

Not a bad place, but still not an InterContinental Property

Overall a clean convenient place to stay in Milwaukee. Our room was comfortable, yet very noisy. My wife and I could hear the people in the room next door having conversations. The hotel management really needs to work on soundproofing the rooms. I did see that some of the rooms can be very small – my brother and his wife... more

Visit to Milwaukee was on short notice for a funeral. A group of 17 associates from all over the country needed a place to stay together if possible. The Intercontinental proved a good choice. We negotiated a short notice group rate and were all given suites. The staff, from bellmen to front desk, were friendly and helpful. Great lobby bar,... more

The Intercontinental is very nicely decorated with a hip lobby bar, excellent restaurant on the second floor, and spacious rooms. In general, there’s a very modern theme that runs throughout the property. The rooms all have new furniture with flat-screen TVs and Aeron chairs. The lobby and common areas seem to have been recently redone in sort of a Japanese... more

Booked this hotel because their description for two double bed room also has mention of living area. I assumed this to mean an all suite hotel since I could not find a picture of a reg. hotel room for this hotel. Booked the room knowing I would be having company visiting b4 a big night on the town. No seperate... more

Excellent Choice in Milwaukee

This hotel reminds me of W hotels. It has an upscale and sleek lobby that tries to get a trendy vibe going. My room was on a lower level and had a huge ceiling- felt like 20' feet high. The rooms are modern and up to date. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I just returned from a business trip to Milwaukee where I stayed at the Intercontinental. The check in staff was friendly and fast and set up my internet connection so I could get on line as soon as I reached the room. The room is nice, with two separate rooms and a bathroom. The living area has two comfortable couches... more

Overall, a great stay. Right now, there's a lot of construction around the hotel so roads are blocked off so its a bit of a challenge to get to. However, this place is quite nice once you get there. Room was great - separate sitting area so it feels like a mini-suite. Bathroom small but works just fine. Very clean.... more

I suggest you do not stay in the corner of the forth floor. The sea gulls will peck at your window and keep you awake. It is a very nice hotel and the accommodations where excellent. The location is wonderful.

This hotel made me feel important: They made arrangements to make me feel comfortable and answered my questions as needed.

They had a comfortable bed and excellent pillows. The bathroom was clean, but a little run down. The front desk personnel were not very helpful and carried on personal conversations among themselves while a dozen guests were kept cooling their heels. The location is right at the river and is good for downtown restaurants.

I liked the hotel. It was located downtown close to the attractions. The price we got online was a very good price. But it would be nice if they had wireless access for free in their rooms.

The hotel was fine, but about 2 AM there was a fire alarm that sounded. We were told to leave the building immediately. When we got outside to the street, the guests were going back into the lobby. It was a false alarm. No one from the hotel staff spoke to us and none of them said we had to wait until the fire department arrived and shut off the alarm. The only word we had was that passed from... more

I have to agree with an earlier review. The lobby is impressive, however, the rooms are not. Very small (suite?) that had a stained carpet.
