This was the roachest infested place that I have ever stayed in and I am homeless. I screwed some tourists looking for meth out of $200 and bought myself what I thought would be a good night's rest at a luxury hotel. Well the room was hotter when I finally walked up three flights of stairs to get into than it was outside. After numerous calls downstairs to the on duty clerk I finally decided to...

this hotel has a fabulous view...and a great location- this is all that is possitive. The bed sheets were worn thru- the bathroom was moldy and was caving in from above...I thought the roof would fall in. The toilet ran all the time, and my husband checked the tank and found that instead of a chain it was held by...

I will be totally honest I was thinking of booking another stop here, lured in by the price! But reading the reviews on here I realise that would be an absolute nightmare! Ok so I didnt have hot water for 2 days and no one really seemed to care. I had a problem with my key one evening, went down...

At one time, like maybe in 1962, this place was probably a hopping, elegant hotel. But for 2007, definitely NOT! We fortunately had only booked one night at this hotel, just in case we didn't like it, boy were we ever happy that's all we had to put up with! Let me start by saying, as soon as you pull...

The nitty gritty: Most of our party couldn't stomach the place and changed to other hotels immediately. No matter how cheaply they rent you a room, you will likely regret staying here. This place was once, years ago, a nice downtown hotel near the water and with great views. The great views remain, every other aspect has deteriorated almost beyond...

It's better to just list the problems: Cockroaches in the room. No hot water. Mold on the bathroom floor. Wallpaper was pealing off from the walls in the bathroom. The bathtub was chipped and repaired with a different color. The showerhead faucet was falling from the wall. The men's restroom, in the lobby, was out of order. There were cockroaches...

My husband and i stayed there 10/18-10/21/2007. this was the worst room i have ever stayed in. we checked in on Thursday night the 18th of Oct. the room smelled like smoke, the carpet was filthy at best,no remote messed up beds, no wash clothes, and only one bath towel. during the night the speaker on the telephone kept coming on with alternating dial tone and busy signal. i finally figured out...

The hotel website is amazingly out of date, the building in general is in major disrepair. Drunks, drug addicts, drifters and panhandlers abound both inside and outside. The rooms while clean to the extent of basics, still leave MUCH to be desired for the health concious traveler. The hotel is in terrible disrepair, is dirty, and leaves the impression that...

This hotel has the potential to be spectacular, due to it's size and location. Unforunately it has been left to rack and ruin, and the hotel management are somewhat indifferent to complaints as they are in the process of a potential take-over. The receptioninst revealed to me that there are 2 options in the pipe-line: either it is going to...

Where to begin? Couldn't believe I was getting such a deal on a highly rated hotel. This place was an absolute dump! From the minute we arrived, we knew it was not going to even fit the "You get what you pay for" slogan. I wouldn't allow my dogs to stay there! There was water damage to the walls and...

Do not stay here. It is old and the lobby and halls smell like old cigarettes. The AC also doesn't work in the lobby or halls. The first room we went to smelled bad, had stains in the carpe,t and rust in the bathtub. We asked to be moved to a different room and the door wouldn't open so we...

I would HIGHLY warn anyone from staying at this hotel. The pictures on-line are NOTHING to what the rooms actually are. We stayed on the 10th floor, everything looked very old, light outside the room not working, elevators not working , the only ice machine working was on the 6th floor and it looked very dirty, the whole hotel could...

The hotel had a water leak in the parking garage that was in need of repair. Our rooms were not ready at check in, we had to wait an hour befor they were ready. The room had a very strong musty smell and the carpets were not clean. The lamps had a broken bulb with loose wires and there was no remote. There was a large roach crawling on the wall that room service ended up taking care of. There...

The location of this hotel was perfect for us! It is 2 blks from the seawall and a it was easy to get to and from to all sights/businesses in town. Pool was in need of some attention to loose rubber edging, but clean. Free breakfast was limited, only one serving allowed. (They serve you) And although serving time is from 8am to 10am,when we went down at 9am,there was not much left. Room was...

Staff was not friendly or inviting, when light in bathroom went out it took over two hours to get someone to come replace it and kept getting the run around from front desk.
The service was terrible. It was clear the staff couldn't care less about making a guest's stay a good one. We went in our room and they hadn't even finished getting it ready for us. The shower curtain was laying on one of the beds and the rod had to be put back together and they hadn't put any towels in the room. We wouldn't have minded that too much, but at 10pm a piano player/singer started...

"This Hotel is good for nothing. It's Old & Bad smelling.I found Mole all inside the room & the restroom & the tub don't drain, The dirty sheets & pillows case didn't help it was like it came from a horror movie"
"Two of the rooms smelled bad, constantly running water in bathtub, bad directions for the streetcar, old food left in hall for 24 hours, drink machines were sold out of everything, no towels, etc,. no table between the 2 chairs."
"This is my 2nd visit to this hotel. It is in walking distance to bars and some restaurants. The place is not bad, especially if you are on a budget. Rooms and pool average, hot tub needed badly. Upper floors were stuffy, and place looks a bit old, but a great place if you only need a place to sleep"
We went to Corpus in November (very unconventional time, but great, nonetheless) and we stayed at this hotel. Not only was the staff great, but the room was awesome. We didn't expect it to be as big as it was. It is in a very convenient location - we had no problems finding our way around. There are also several little great gift shops in the lobby.
"This was a horrible experience. We arrived too late to move to another hotel until the following day. I have been sick, literally, from the mold everywhere in the room since the day after. This building should be imploded! The staff, however, was friendly and aware of the problems since they hear it all the time!"
"The filters in the rooms were so full that it made our room hot, they had 4 or 5 cars broke into since the time we arrived. One of my friends (who also stayed at the same hotel) had his car keyed all over and another friend of ours had their truck broken into as well."
Our truck was broken into saturday night about 11 pm...while waiting outside we found out that 4 vehicles were broken into thursday night...i think the hotel should of gave us that information... This would of saved me over $-.- in lost grief!!
"The lobby was scary enough, by the time we got to the room I was already nervous. Room was dark, the closet doors were falling off, room smelled funky, the clincher was all of the hair in the bathroom (in tub, sink, floor, toilet) Beyond gross! "

The rooms were early 60's; shower had leaks and ceiling was falling down; rust on the floor and walls in bathroom; beds bad!! We stayed because of the positive reviews; first time I have been throughly burned by reviews.
We were on the 8th floor and the view of the Marina was to die for! We watched the shrimp boats and the sail boats go out right outside... it was amazing.
"At 4:00 PM, an hour after allowable check in time, there were no clean rooms. It took 45 minutes to get us into a room. We found BIG crickets in the toilet, on the floor and IN the BED! We found HUGE cockraoches crawling up the bathroom walls. I guess for the price we should have expected the old natty bedding and filthy stained carpeting. BUT I didn't expect bugs at any price! They really...

"This hotel is a health hazard! I was in two rooms and eventually had to leave due to severe mold problem, bugs and filthy rooms and amenities. DISGUSTING!"
"Everything was dirty. I was afraid to take a shower because there were other people's hair stuck to the bottom of the tub. Maid cleaned it, then our AC went out. Changed rooms.. the rooms are nasty.. and need a big, BIG update!! You get what you pay for. ""Buyer"" BEWARE!!"
"The whole family loved it! There was something for everyone. Cable TV, swimming pool, microwave and Fridge. We had a great view of the Bay. The room was clean and didn't have that musty smell you might find at other hotels. The desk clerk was very helpful when we told him we lost our room keycard. I would definitely go back again."
"Common areas were dark, dirty- needed renovation. Room was dark, lamps missing, had to ask for a set of towels. We saw too many of the areas where the workers kept things.Forget about the ""fitness room"". Nothing works and its in a hallway. My husband got a splinter in his hand from our door we were digging out for two days."
Just got back from staying at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with it. The rooms are run down. The sink and bath tub would not drain. There was paint falling off the walls and in the bathroom. The linens were in rags. The front desk personnel couldn't be bothered to help out. And there was always an odor of some origin in the hallways. Overall the whole experience was bad.
First time staying at the Bayfront. Location was attractive-within walking distance of local attractions. Check in/out was quick; staff was polite. Hotel has great potential but needs extensive facelift/maintainence work-bad. Our room appeared to be clean but the furniture and appliances all looked worn/dated. Also the plug of the air conditioner was sticking out of the socket half way-posing a...

My stay in the hotel was wonderful! Close to all attractions and clubs! Bay and beach right across the street!! Breakfast was great and room service was fast! Will definitely go back when visiting Corpus Christi
"The room was fine. The rest of the hotel was terrible. The pool was falling apart and I am surprised they were able to open it. The common areas (hallways, elevators) were strewn with debris the two days we were there."
"I felt like I was taking a chance with the mixed reviews. Nice, clean room. Great view (9th floor facing the Bridge.) Descent breakfast, selection changed each day. There was music each night but it did not disturb (again, 9th floor.) If you're torn, go ahead and go for it. Best deal downtown."
My family and I called the front desk a few times because we needed extra towels and to clean up the room when we left for the day. They were happy to service us and smiled while doing it. It was great!!
"The hotel changed hands after we booked with the Ramada Inn Bayfront. Dirty carpets, plaster falling from the bathroom ceiling, soiled floors, broken toilet, slow-draining tub, rock-hard mattress, semi-functioning air conditioner...all pretty sad stuff. Then extra loud music made sleeping impossible. The ""bar"" was in an open area that all rooms faced had the music until 11:30 some nights...

"The Bayfront Plaza looks appealing enough on the website. Unfortunately, the entire hotel need refurbishing. Our room seemed dirty. I did not want to walk barefoot on the carpet. Bugs were running around in the bathroom. We were approached by panhandlers everything we ventured out. "
"The staff was friendly, but the hotel itself needs some work. They had good prices on drinks and free food. They would tske you anywhere you wanted to go even at 3 in the morning to the Whataburger place. "
Besides that the rooms need steam cleaned and the shower water temp was inconsistent the noise was horrible. Very loud bar open til 11 pm heard throughout the hotel everynight and Salsa band til 2am on Fri/Sat that made the walls vibrate. So much for sleep. There is a reason why Ramada no longer owns this crudy hotel.
"People at the front desk were very helpful, the shuttle was great!! Also after reading some of the negative feedback I was not sure what I was getting into, but trust me the hotel is very nice and we really didn't have any problems!!!"
