This upscale establishment offers guests a Mexican cuisine with a menu based largely on seafood and steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20, and dress casual, but fashionable.

This hotel, the fourth built by Conrad Hilton, opened its doors to the public in 1939. No expense was spared as hand carved wooden beams and Spanish tile was used to accent the architecture. In 1985, the National Register of Historic Places preserved it as a treasured landmark. As a guest here, you will enjoy all the modern comforts as well as a walk through history. Opened in 1939 by Conrad Hilton (who honeymooned here with Zsa Zsa Gabor), this glamorous 10-story hotel on the National Register of Historic Places captures vintage New Mexico's elegance -- the lobby bar is one of the classiest places around for cocktails. The tiled lobby fountain, circular balcony, massive vigas, and Native American murals lend the place an easy Southwestern charm. Ranging from small to spacious, the rooms have Spanish-colonial and Native American accents. Guests have privileges at a health club across the street. The hotel also contains the prestigious Jane Butel School of Southwestern Cooking, which offers cooking-school vacation packages. www.laposada-abq.com . 110 rooms, 4 suites. Built in 1939 by Conrad Hilton as the famed hotelier's first inn in his home state of New Mexico, this hostelry on the National Register of Historic Places feels like old Spain. Though remodeled in 1996, it still maintains its historic atmosphere. An elaborate Moorish brass-and-mosaic fountain stands in the center of the tiled lobby, which is surrounded on all sides by high archways, creating... more

We had our wedding reception at La Posada. While the atmosphere was fine and the food was great, we suffered in the customer service department. The valet managed to wreck my Dad's truck into our car, the baggage handler who moved our gifts stole $500 worth of our gifts, our honeymoon suite was given to another guest, and our toilet overflowed in our downgraded room. Even after a rather... more

An original Hilton hotel built in 1939 under Conrad Hilton's direction, the hotel is a museum in itself. The historic rooms are fashioned with southwestern detail, from the hand carved wooden headboards, to the Pueblo Indian rugs. All guests rooms will let you step back in history with all the comforts and technology of modern day times.

The hotel is beautiful! There is a great mix of wonderful old architecture and modern decor. Everything just works (the designer got it right). The only thing that kept me from giving the hotel an "excellent" was the service. It wasn't bad, just a little underwhelming for a 5-star hotel. No offer to help with our luggage (but it was... more

Loved this luxurious boutique hotel. The rooms are spectacular, immaculate, large, and comfortable. The bed was magnificent; made with cool, soft, crisp, Frette sheets on top of a feather bed. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They made you feel so welcome. There are wonderful little private alcoves in the lobby where you can enjoy a drink with friends.... more

I travel A LOT. I stay at a lot of corporate hotels and for the most part they are just that. Corporate. If Walmart ran a hotel it would be something like this. Not that they do a bad job it's just lacking any personality and individuality. Not so at the Hotel Andaluz in Albuquerque. My travel agent tends to... more

My girlfriend and I are constantly seeking for new places to visit and we are just like any other couple…we want to stay at the best hotel in town but still have cash left over for some entertainment around town. Having traveled to Albuquerque on business many times over the last few years I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Hotel Andaluz to finally experience a 5 star level of accommodation. This hotel is amazing. Perfect in every aspect. Location is central to everything. Evening jazz and entertainment in the lobby was an excellent choice. I had read about the renovation of the one great historical hotel in Albuquerque, the Hotel Andaluz, and that they had reinvigorated its Moroccan roots. Still, I wasn’t prepared for the mirage-like feeling of its spectacular lobby. Talk about a breath of fresh air in the Albuquerque hotel scene! If you like personal touches and risk taking in design, this... more

Located in Downtown Albuquerque and within walking distance to movie theaters, restaurants, art galleries, night clubs, comedy clubs, the Convention Center and the beautiful KIMO Theater, this modestly priced hotel gets our recommendation. I went to La Posada with my two teenage children -- a girl, 13, and a boy, 15. We loved this hotel!! We loved the ambience of the time it was built. The restaurant was good, although some more ordinary fare would be nice for kids

My husband and I stayed here for two days and loved the traditional setting of the southwest throught the hotel and our room. It is definitly not a luxury hotel but more of a quaint cultural atmosphere with friendly faces. We arrived early and the manager was so kind as to get us to our reserved room promply. Overall, we were delighted by the character and ambiance of the La Posada!

I really liked the decor of the La Posada. The lobby is really beautiful and at night on the weekends they serve drinks and free mexican stlye snacks. Also, we had reserved a room with a King size bed, but realized half-way through our stay that it was really a... more

Rooms are small and need to be remodeled. Two inch gap under door so you can hear every person passing through the hallway. Walls are so thin I could hear the guest in the next room talking on the phone for two hours. (Evidently he was having marriage problems). The carpet was so filthy i was afraid to take off my shoes. This is a tired old property that was probably remodeled in 1930

A classic Southwestern hotel from the 30s.

An elegant venture into the late 1930s with tiled showers, large rooms, southwestern architecture, especially the lobby. If you are looking for clean, comfortable, and unpretentious setting this is it. Highly recommended for... more

Conrad's is an excellent restaurant! In the historic La Posada Hotel in downtown Albuquerque. Chic interior...cloth table cloths...excellent service. The dishes are not only delicious, they are attractively presented. The "second best" hotel restaurant (in my opinion) only to the superb, Rancher's Club at the Hilton on University Blvd.
