If you need to visit someone on the Norfolk Naval Base and need a hotel, this is the best place to stay in winter. It's a couple of miles off the gates and the room rate in winter is affordable. Comfortable room. I loved the comforter! The Front Desk Employee was extremely friendly and helpful. She does an excellent job! The only negative comment that I have would be that we were on the 5th floor and the hallway was extremly warm. I probably could have commented to the staff, but did not bother. ... more

This hotel was convieneiently located to Old Dominion University, the purpose of our visit to Norfolk. The staff was more than friendly. Room was clean bright and comfortable. Breakfast buffett bountiful. Will stay at this Hampton on our future visits to Norfolk and will recommend it to family members who will be visiting as well.

Hampton Inn on Hampton Blvd Stayed there based on location for a meeting at Norfolk Naval Base. Location for that--great. About a 10 min/$15 cab ride into downtown otherwise. Facilities--Fair. Stayed in this Hampton Inn, August 2004. Great friendly staff in what looked like a recently renovated hotel. Very nicely done, in the usual Hampton Inn style, clean and well kept. Directly on Hampton Blvd, but did not notice any street noise. Will stay here again in the future.
