Affluent and impressive, the lobby boasts a front desk that's literally a desk, not one of those airport-style counters. Each of the 140 rooms is unique, but all include Wi-Fi, Egyptian cotton linens, plush down comforters, silk and terry robes and marble bathrooms with Aveda products. Guests also have access to a state-of-the-art athletic facility with a pool, racquetball courts, gymnasium and...

Tips About This Business
Hungry? Reserve a table at Martini Blu, a four-star dining and entertainment experience.
Most people probably have no need for the $3,000-a-night Presidential Suite with four rooms, two fireplaces and a grand piano, but it's nice to have options.

If you want grace, service, and comfort in your hotel, the Grand is for you. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a classic, rich style. The staff is extremely helpful and will go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is pleasant. I would recommend the Grand to anyone---it is the essence of class!
I think this hotel is nice and has some great perks about it. You will see it has a wonderful gym and nice people. The food here is so-so and the service can be good, but often it can be non-existent. It is definitely better than a Best Western type of hotel but holds no candle to a Ritz or Four Seasons. I question some of the other reviews as to what type of lodging they are used to so as to...

this hotel is beautiful! But beautiful and functional. The rooms have such warmth and the beds are fanstastic. The hotel is in a wonderful location and the staff is great, They were able to get us into a 5 star restaurant with ease. There is a price to pay (about 200.00 per night, but if you can indulge, do so here.
We went here for my birthday weekend, and could not have been more impressed! The room we reserved was not ready at our check in time, so they upgraded us to a suite, no charge! The room was amazing, the robes were amazing, and the bed was super comfy! The staff was extra curtious, and we felt like royalty the whole weekend. The only thing negative I can say is I wish it were closer to the...

Very nice hotel with good service. Valet is convenient, however you must leave your car with valet and then walk around the corner to get to the entrance of the hotel - which can be very cold in the winter and somewhat diminishes the purpose of leaving your car with the valet. Nice beds and linens, great shower. Hotel itself is very well kept but does feel rather old.

Recently stayed at my favortie hotel again (The Grand) and am continually impressed by their consistent levels of quality and service. This is not some overly trendy, under-serviced room with a view, but more of what you expect for your money in a big city. Smiling, sincerely helpful staff, elegant and well appointed rooms, and a sincerity from everyone you encounter (no fake butt-kissing). ...

I was visiting Minniapolis for Thanksgiving vacation and I stayed at the Grand Hotel. The service was amazing and the beds were to die for. The bellman made sure that every need was met. The room was so pretty, and the beds were to die for!! The breakfast wasn't so great, but the hotel is close to a lot of hip restaurants. I can't wait to vist the Twin Cities again so I can stay at this hotel.

The name says it all. The Grand stands out in a city of low class and convention hotels. It's the small things that make a big difference: complimentry coffee with wakeup calls, chocolate with turndown service, personal and friendly concierge style checkin (after sitting down for a checkin you will never want to stand again). The Grand brings that touch of class and style that's been missing...

My wife and I stayed here on your wedding night, all I can say is that it was the best experience I have ever had a hotel. I would put it up against our honeymoon to Saint Lucia at an all inclusive resort. My wife arrived in her wedding gown and she forgot to bring a hanger, we called the front desk and they let us take one from the room. The morning after we had breakfast in bed, she had some...

I have never seen such poor service at a so-called "luxury" hotel. I recently stayed at the Grand for my first visit to the Twin Cities. In the course of 48 hours, I experienced the following service blunders: -The conceirage had no clue about any restaurant I asked about. -My 7:00am wakeup call came at 6:00am with the greeting, "hello this is your 7:00 wakeup call." -My keys stopped working...

For someone that travels for a living, it is nice to be able to stay at a hotel that knows what real travelers want. Pillow-top mattresses, triple sheeting with egyptian cotton sheets, Aveda amenities, godiva chocolates, and SERVICE! I don't request alot, but what I do like is coffee in the morning. THEY DELIVER IT WITH YOUR WAKE-UP CALL!! How fantastic. No in-room coffee makers that you...

Taking cues from the movie stars, entertainers and sports stars that consider this their home-away-from-home, the Grand is a welcome addition to the chains and old outdated options in the Twin Cities. Clean, upscale - tvs in the bath! - can't beat it!

The Grand Hotel is far and away the best place to stay in Minneapolis. The ammenities and service are second to none. Minneapolis has needed a hotel like this for a long time. There are a few that come close, but nothing compares to a stay at the Grand.
I will definitely be back.
Pros
+ Incredible HealthClub, Immaculate Rooms, SERVICE!!!!!!!

I travel to Minneapolis almost every week on business and so I've stayed at EVERY upscale hotel in town. The Grand is still the best. 1) Gym is unparalleled, it's the best gym in town, not just at a hotel, but period (it's a real gym with members). 2) Rooms are generous (esp when you're a regular). 3) Bathrooms are...

I stayed at the Grand for one night on a business trip. The room was nice, though not especially large. The bathroom was at least a third of the room space, so that was more impressive. There were definite nice touches like the turn down service, coffee/tea delivery with your wake up call, complimentary shoe shine, etc. The free access...

The hotel was very fancy! The amenities were top of the line. The bathrooms were large and completely marble. And the bed was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, for the price I thought the room would be bigger. It felt small, since the king sized bed over-took the room. The view was nothing to behold so we kept the shades drawn. We used the pool with the complimentary...

There are many plush hotels that offer luxury in terms of creature comforts. The Grand Hotel certainly fits this mold, but what makes this Hotel stand out is its service. I have stayed in five star hotels on multiple continents, and I have never experienced service as good the Grand's. Check in is efficient, and the staff was incredibly flexible...

Great location, great value, comfortable bad!!!, nice size of the room and bathroom. My husband and I spent a weekend at the Grand to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the hotel. The rooms are very clean, huge bathrooms with a TV over the tub. I recently stayed at the Grand while in Minneapolis on business. Colleagues of mine frequently travel to Minneapolis and always stay at the Grand - it's simply their favourite hotel in MN. My experience was also good, but I had very high expectations after hearing so much about it in advance. The rooms at the Grand are big, the bed...

If you stay in a hotel to be pampered and carry a wad of one dollar bills, this is your place. But for a self-service kind of person, I'd look elsewhere. I admit it, I'm cheap. I want to be left alone when I go to a hotel. I don't want help with my luggage. I don't use valet parking....

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a weekend at the Grand. Excellent, world-class service from the moment I booked the room until we reluctantly left Sunday morning. The key here is attention to detail and nothing is missed or overlooked. Go to the Spa and the gym. Lifetime Fitness has their flagship property at this location.
We just returned from a weekend stay at the Grand. It is definitely top shelf. The room was immaculate and much larger than most hotel rooms. Aveda bath products, turn down service. We faced an office bldg, so no view, but it was otherwise great. You MUST use the gym. I pay handsomely for my gym membership at home ,...

Found a great deal on a room at the Grand for a weekend getway and had to take it. Check in was a breeze. The elevators are a bit slow, but what do you expect for an older hotel? The room was immaculate, but we did have a few slopes in the floor by the entryway and bathroom. Nothing unstable,...
