Sushi With the Stars

Review Rating
Geisha house manages to combine a star status hangout with a good expensive (and damn tasty) sushi bar plus restaurant. Although I went for the Ashton factor for the first time, I went back several more times for the taste, setting, and location. Geisha house is dark, romantic and cozy--definitely a place for an intimate dinner or drinks with friends. I would definitely go there if I was entertaining with friends from out of town.

For a good meal in a central Hollywood location, Geisha House is tough to beat. With two front doors comprising a photomural of a geisha's mouth, the venue is visually striking right off the bat. Combine eye-popping graphics, a multi-leveled fireplace, live DJs, exotic eats and Geisha House seduces even the most cynical restaurant-goer. As one of the Dolce Group's properties, the red-hued bi-level ... more

I under estimated this place. I thought that their sushi was going to be below average but oh boy was I wrong. I had a quick dinner here with friends and I must say that their sushi is fresh and I do recommend this place. This is also a god place to just go have drinks before heading out to a club. I've done that a few times.

This was my FIRST time at Geisha House. I've never had such a bad service like this!!!! After tonight's experience I will not EVER return. The Sushi was great however I absolutely fell in love with a few of the Hot Dishes. The Mongolian Lamb chops were amazing. The Alaskin King Crab Legs were incredible. Geisha House is 'typical' glamour by overrated LA standards. Come to stargaze, get some ambiance, and sip decent drinks with 'decked-out' friends willing to go with the flow. The live DJ and Tokyo cityscape against neon lights make it a great amp for the post-show doldrums.
