There is no place like the Brown Palace. Their afternoon tea service is on par with the best in Britain. The historic decor throughout the Brown Palace provides a wonderful feast for the eyes. This restaurant is definitely a 5 star restaurant. No short cuts in service or wait staff. It is a lot like eating at the Drake downtown Chicago. We had a party of ten for lunch. Bothe of the Kobe burgers that were ordered were overcooked, one person sent it back. The burgers sort or resembled hockey pucks when they first arrived. the burger that was sent back took about 20-25 minutes to come back. The Brown Palace should be rated the number one romantic hotel in the Denver area. The opulance is everwhere, from the grand atrium to the lovely rooms. Couples can enjoy a walk though downtown and sip champagne with afternoon tea.
There is no comparison between the Brown Palace and the Inverness Hotel. Please don't include business people's ratings of wonderful golf with romance.

I love walking into the Brown Palace... what a sense of nastalgia. The rooms are a bit nastalgic as well, as far as appointment, I found the rooms to be a little on the small side and tightly laid out with furniture. Maybe it's just because I'm 6 foot tall, but I felt more cramped in my room than in most I stay in while traveling. I would say to have meetings in the lobby... but stay elsewhere.

The Brown Palace lives up to its reputation for great service.It's a beautiful old hotel that has catered to presidential visits.The location is great too - it's close to 16th Street, which is a pedestrian mall of great shops and restaurants.It's my favorite place to stay in Denver.

Despite the fact the plumbimg could probably use some updating, Brown Palace is still my favorite. Weekend brunch with jazz piano, complete with seafood platter, or afternoon tea cannot be beat. They are also constructing a spa... can't wait!I recommend using their tranquility package, which is the weekend package for two. It's reasonable for what you get.

the way the building sits on the corner reminds me of a scene from an old movie.this place is lovely and the service is good, not snotty.priced a little high but what the heck!work hard play hard right?

i liked the fact that it was in a close location to the Denver night clubs. They also usally have vacancy and it is a nice place to stay.

This place is simply AMAZING!!!!!!I stayed here for a conference and was treated like a queen.The atmosphere, food, bedrooms are amazing!!!

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. Though pricey it was well worth the cost. The only issue we had was that the room was fairly small, but the bed was big and comfortable.
