My girlfriend and I visited the DGB tonight, and met an extremely bright, unbelievably pleasant young man named Mark, who was nothing short of exemplary as a server. Our entire experience tonight was quite enjoyable, from the mouth-watering prime ribs we ate down to the amazing service we received. If you decide to visit the restaurant, I would recommend you request Mark as your server. He was... more

One of my favorites! Awesome pizzas, huge salads, and Captain Sirloin
is one of the best picks. The pretzel and beer cheese dip is always a winner
for appetizer. I take every out-of town visitor I have there, and no
one has ever had a bad meal.

The Downtown Grill and Brewery doesn't disappoint. For fans of
flavorful beer, try the New World Porter and Downtown Nut Brown Ale.
If the special is barbecue, make sure to get it, because it's some
of the best barbecue this side of North Carolina. But avoid the baked
beans. They were bland and tough, like they weren't cooked enough.
But by all means, come here for the beer.

Good grilled food here, I suggest the grilled chicken, its mouth watering,
nice affordable prices, great service.

Great joint. Looking forward to being there in a few weeks. The service
is fast, the home brew is great, and the food is pretty standard but well
done. The pool hall in the back is the best part. I am just thrilled there
is still somewhere for us old folks in Knoxville where you can lay back,
have some drinks, and not have Jaeger spilled on you.

Every time I return home, my friends guide me to a local Knoxville hotspot that I have, until then, never frequented. I recently discovered the Downtown Grill & Brewery, which is an old standby that has somehow managed to escape my attention. Over the past few years, Knoxville's downtown has been experiencing a revival. City leaders and local businesses are intent on revitalizing the area,... more

This place is incredible. It's a spacious area that captures that "at home" feel. I enjoyed the brews, loved the upstairs bar (anyone remember Galaga - they got it!), and the staff was extra friendly - Rachel was a blessing. I'll definitely be back on my next trip through Knoxville.
