This is one of Albuquerque's finest downtown hotels. The contemporary, Southwest-style interior contrasts well with the modern exterior. Upon entering the lobby, you will realize that these are upscale accommodations that rival anything in the region. A two-story silent waterfall provides a backdrop for the hotel's lounge where soft music rises from the bowels of a grand piano.

This is a great place to stay if you have business in downtown. The atrium has a two-story waterfall and an array of Southwest accents. The guest rooms just underwent renovation and now exude a sleek simplicity. Many rooms feature mountain views. Besides being connected to the Albuquerque Convention Center, the hotel is a quick walk from Civic Plaza, Old Town and the famed Galleria Shops.

In Short Warm chocolate chip cookies greet every guest at this Hilton-owned hotel, a friendly touch that fits in with the hotel's business-casual attitude. Another way Doubletree helps its guests relax is the Sweet Dreams bed, which features a pillow-top mattress, high thread-count linens, down comforters and lots of jumbo pillows. Standard nice hotel. Rooms were updated, everything worked as designed. What brought this up from a 4 start to a 5 star was the staff and the internet access. The staff are super-friendly folks who are knowledgable about the town and willing to go the extra mile for you, and the internet access is still free. If I'm ever in... more

Average hotel, could do better in ABQ for the price

I stayed at the Double Tree ABQ for three nights last week for work. Staff was very friendly and made me feel at home during my stay. The hotel itself wasn't the greatest. When I checked in they had ran out of non-smoking rooms and I had to stay in a smoking. The air condition unit was literally hanging off... more

Classy hotel at a great price

We found ourselves in Albuquerque unexpectedly and ended up at the Doubletree. We were given an excellent rate: $79 per night plus taxes, etc. This is a huge hotel, about 16 floors high and is clean, attractive, modern, and well-maintained. I've never had a more comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is quite convenient if you have a car,... more

I stayed at this hotel for ten nights in August 2008. The hotel is not horrible but its also not a luxury hotel. The staff at the front desk could use some lessons in efficiency. It took me three trips to various rooms to find a room that was not occupied or had not been cleaned. The staff was young... more

This place is a joke, rude, dirty and non responsive to complaints. Had we not been to the hotel because of bowling I would have left - augh! I can not even begin to tell people how mad they have made me - This is a letter I sent them weeks ago with no response: To Whom It May Concern:... more

I stayed here for one night before a wedding (which was held elsewhere) because the price was equivalent to other Hilton properties in town. I arrived very late, around 1 a.m., and was given Room 1403 and a still-warm cookie. The lobby has been totally renovated and looks much sleeker than the faux-Southwest nightmare that you see when click on... more

Good Choice for Conference in Albuquerque

The Double Tree was our home for the week. We stayed as part of a conference and I studied the reviews on this site carefully before choosing Double Tree over Hyatt. In the end, we are pleased with our choice. The renovations are over as stated, but the hotel is rather plain for a downtown hotel. We last stayed at... more

From check in to check out (which was about two hours) this was just an awful experience. It costs $10 per day to park in their lot, and that does not guarentee that you will have a parking space if you leave and come back! We reserved a smoking room, but they overbooked them and we got non-smoking, while the... more

Good hotel, but I will look elsewhere next time I'm in ABQ

I stayed at the Doubletree ABQ for three nights, arriving very late the first evening. I normally stay elsewhere but ABQ was unusually busy this week so I tried the Doubletree because they generally have a good reputation and are part of the Hilton family of hotels. Pros: I had requested an upper-floor room and was assigned a room on... more

It was good. Not spectacular. I stayed there because I can walk to my client. The restaurant, which, if I remember, USED to be a cool and fairly nice dining experience, has the ambience and furniture of a middle school cafeteria. My biggest complaint, and since no one else has brought it up, was probably some geographic anomoly of my... more

I stayed six nights at the Doubletree while attending a convention. What I liked was the very nice staff; everyone was helpful and polite. The rooms were quiet; even with a convention crowd, I never heard noise through the walls. The underground pedtrian passage right into the convention center was nice, too.
