The Denver Marriott touts half of its rooms as being geared toward the business traveler. The hotel is a three-block walk to the Denver Convention Complex and has 25,000 square feet of meeting space of its own. Rooms are small but classy, with a strong "executive" look (many stripes, much leather). The cozy, fall-color Great Divide Lounge and the savvy American fare at Allies American Grille are worthwhile, whether you are on an expense account or not. The on-site, full-service City Spa offers massages and facial treatments. www.denvermarriott.com . 613 rooms, 14 suites. In-room: ethernet. The Marriott City Center is located in the middle of Downtown. The rooms are nice and the concierge level is available for reasonable price. The hotel sports an incredible amount of conference space for any sized event/convention.

While this hotel is nice - I don't consider it to be one of the top hotels in Denver anymore. It's showing it's age and needs to be refurbished. Staff is accomodating and quick to help. I would stay here but wouldn't pay the big bucks that I would at other hotels.

Located in the Marriott hotel, this restaurant is not too busy during the week. They have both a hot and cold buffet in addition to the lunch menu. $11 for the cold buffet; $14 for the hot buffet. The selection of food on the cold buffet is not worth the price--generally they have soup, cold cut sandwiches, salad, pasta salad, fruit, build your own cold cut sandwich, and desserts. The Marriott downtown is a great place to stay. The restaurants are good, the proximity to the 16th Street Mall is outstanding and the rooms aren't too bad at all. The valet service was a bit slow and the shower in the room was tiny, but we had a romantic getaway that was second to none at the Marriott.

Pros

+ Close to the 16th Street Mall.

Cons

- Tiny Showers

The hotel was an absolute dream to stay in. I stayed at the hotel for several weeks during my recent relocation to Denver. Now my family and I enjoy staying downtown when we want to just get away. Great healthclub (individual tv monitors on all the equipment), great indoor pool, and high speed and wireless throughout hotel.

First of all I had booked room for my best friends bridal shower. I called the hotel 5 times just to make sure that the sitter for the kids could check in with no problems they said yes. I work in a hotel too so I do understand policies. The babysitter arrived at 10:30 pm (with 1,6,8, and 9 year olds) and when we arrived at 11:00 pm they where waiting outside. This is a nice hotel, and conveniently located. We had a room on one of the concierge floors. Lobby was quite nice, with a Starbucks that was... more

It was at an extremely convenient location downtown, and we could look out the huge window and see the whole area. Were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, service was great, staff was VERY friendly, and there is an outdoor shopping center a few blocks down. We walked everywhere (and we are not big walkers!) and only used a cab once to go across town for a concert
