Information from the business
DeLuca's Market located on Charles Street in Beacon Hill is an historic grocery that has being selling fresh fruit and groceries since this early 1900s. The store is still one of the most accessible areas for Boston residents to grab fruit on the way to and from work.

I am French, living in Beacon Hill and very picky about food. It is a well located store with a piano inside that they sometime use. The staff is very nice and they have some good products that we can find only there.
Deluca was one of the grocery I was used to go every day, but I was so often surprised by the very poor quality of their cheeses that I am going there only to buy what I forgot...

Today the FDA issued a warning to consumers to NOT eat bagged spinach as there have been 50 illnesses including multiple deaths due to ecoli contamination. The owner of Deluca's was interviewed on WHDH-TV Channel 7 saying he would not pull the bags since people "may want to purchase them"!! Apalling greed. Obviously profits are more important than our safety to this owner. I'd avoid this place...

If you are looking for an exotic or expensive bottle of wine, this is the place to come. All of their staff are highly trained and well-versed in wine. they are also willing to special order rare or hard-to-find bottles for special occassions. great discounts by the case!
PROS: very experienced
CONS: limited parking
This picturesque market on Charles Street is perfect for grabbing a few items and avoiding the bigger grocery store. They have a good deal of quality, fresh produce and gourmet items.
Yes, Deluca's is expensive. Yes, the owners only really speak Italian. But the meat is fresh, the selection (especially of beverages, I've noticed) is stellar, and you really can find prettty much everything you need inside of its few aisles and alleyies. They've always been welcoming of the students from my dormitory traipsing through the store in their PJs looking for study snacks.

There are two Delucas locations. This one is in Beacon Hill. It is an upscale grocery store with a pretty fancy selection, but it is also very expensive. There isn't really any parking here except in the parking garage, and that is usually a hassle. I also read that John Kerry does his shopping at this location.
