Memphis' only rooftop swimming pool is the best boast of this otherwise lackluster hotel that has a prime location on Front Street overlooking the Mississippi River. Despite updated exterior work and new signage, the hotel's rooms are a bit blander than others in its price range. Quite often, you'll see busloads of tour groups staying at the hotel. So if you're after a more intimate setting you... more

I stayed at this hotel in july and had several items taken from my room while I was out. The hotel staff was not helpful about the situation and they handled it very poorly. Other than that the rooms were overpriced and the building is quite unattractive.

My family of five stayed at Comfort Inn. It was close to the River. However, few homeless sleeping along the park made us uncomfortable to use the public trolley(located by Mud Park) or even to go in the park. The pool was a basic small pool. We did not use it during the day because the 2nd pool on same... more

We stayed here for 2 nights from 29th May. Everything about this hotel is good - from the friendly staff, the breakfast included in the price and the free internet. Stayed at the Comfort Inn Downtown and it's a pretty nice hotel. Right across the street from Mud Island. The rooms were clean, and the staff was very helpful. Beale Street is about a 10 minute walk. The fitness room was small, but had two nice swimming pools.

The room at this hotel is very nice in the way it is decorated. The internet works good and there are many channels on the TV. The room they gave us was on the inside of the hotel with no windows which is ok but the ice machine dumping every once in a while all night is quite disturbing. The beds are too hard and I don't think I slept more than a couple of hours all night.

"City view = noisy room with traffic and street sounds. Parking = additional fee and quickly filled. Overflow parking is crude and relies on the front desk attendant to be watching the moment you attempt to enter the parking deck so that it can be opened.
