I stayed at this hotel thinking that I would get great service b/c of the price and name, and although the beds were comfortable and the view beautiful the service was not 3.5 star at all. After leaving my room at 11:30am to sight see, I came back to a room that was not cleaned by maid service. After complaining to the front desk, they were actually going to send a maid to our room at 10:00pm... more

Terrific Sweet Adelines contest weekend. The Marriott personnel are just great when making accommodation for last minute requests or when straightening out problems.

Ok but not the best

I stayed at this hotel one night. I liked the convenience of the hotel being attached to the convention center (which is where my meeting was) BUT the hotel needs a little touch up. Don't get me wrong it was clean but seemed to need some fresh carpet, paint etc. I might stay here again but after visiting the area... more

Worst Marriott Stay

We were there for a 40th high school reunion. The bathroom had hair on the floor in all the corners, along with some dark grime under the sink area and the bath counter was unclean. The tub was stained, the furniture nicked and scratched, the carpet was badly stained near the front door. In the morning when we pulled open... more

We spent a weekend at the Chattanooga Marriott by the Convention Center and I was a little leery when Priceline selected this site (after reading some of the reviews). But, it was a very good stay for the money. After looking at some of the other hotels in Chattanooga - I think most are overpriced. The room was clean with... more

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. We stayed three nights. We were in town for the aquarium and other activiites. The Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. They were really on top of things. The rooms were a bit small, but the overall service made up for it. It is also in a great location!

Way, way beyond its prime

A worn out, uncared for property. We were on the "concierge" level. It meant nothing. The room was not clean when we arrived and was not cleaned while we were there. The sheets were not changed. Powder in the bathtub was not washed out and the sink had hair in the sink. The area on the bathroom floor around the... more

In June '07 I stayed in room 1108 for 3 nights & got BEDBUGS

This hotel has been renovated, has very comfortable new beds with good quality cotton sheets, down comforters, & feather pillows. I guess the bedbugs enjoyed the accomodations as much as I did. I sleep on my right side and was bitten on that side of my body over 7 times in my 3 night stay. It takes 24 hours to... more

I stayed here for one night after getting a good $70 rate on Priceline. Postives: The hotel was nice and the front desk attendants were pleasant at checkin. I was placed on a higher floor with a decent view. The room was nicely furnished. The bed was GREAT!!! It was very comfortable and in line with the nice bedding at... more

My husband and I visited Chattanooga this weekend and stayed at the Marriott Chattanooga next to the Convention Center in downtown area. It was a last minute trip and so we named our own price through Priceline and got it for $70.00. They wanted $129 a night so I thought this was a pretty good deal. It appears to be... more

It was okay for what we paid

Considering we paid just a little more than half of what the full price rates are, through a Priceline bid, I am satisified with what we got. However, had we paid full price, I wouldn't have felt the same because there are much nicer hotels, closer to the river and downtown attractions for around the same full price as this... more

Not Clean

This hotel needs serious cleaning or updating. Our drapes were so filthy I wouldn't let my daughter touch them. The bathroom needed deep cleaning (there were spots of something on the door.) The upholstry on the chair in the room was dirty as well. The carpet was gross, too. The bed was comfortable and the lobby has been updated, but the rooms need it too. We waited for 1 hour for dinner... more

Our room was very nice, loved the best linens, down comforters, etc. Room service was prompt and delicious. Kids were disappointed PlayStation wasn't working, but enjoyed wireless internet on the tv. Whirlpool was terrible (cold and dirty). Sauna was great. Some mold in bathroom. Overall a great value and we enjoyed our stay. Of course breakfast can't be beat - best grits I've EVER tasted!
