The hotel was at 100% capacity, yet they did not have a hostess at dinner or breakfast. At breakfast, the line got rather long. The last time I stayed there they had smoking rooms available, not so anymore. I guess non-smokers rule, but it would be nice if they catered to everyone. The elevators were extremely slow. I stayed at the Sheraton in Norfolk for one night; I was on business. It's on the water, but the hotel is undergoing major construction so beware! The room and bathroom were rather small too, but the furnishings were nice.

I thought this would be a classy hotel. Wrong! The beds and linnens are wonderful, but it is a little hard to relax after seeing a giant COCKROACH in the bathroom. "we stood in line for 45min just to check in...the rooms we're ready, the a/c was broken....the pool was closed...there was a fire alarm on the second day which kept us out of the room for about 35 minutes. It wasn't worth the money. The valet parking attendants were unprofessional."

Found a huge roach in the bathroom as soon as we arrived. Our only compensation was being moved down the hall where I am sure there are also roaches. Very dirty hotel. Really needs a renovation. Bad for the Sheraton name.

"There was no COLD running water in the bathroom. The staff member sent to solve the problem ran the cold water faucets and kept flushing the toilet for about a half hour. The water turned lukewarm but got hot again pretty quickly, including water in the toilet bowl. Never again!"

had to pay $12.00 to park overnight. the lobby is very bland. the hallway rug was stained and needed swept. the room had a one inch gap under the door and i felt like i was sleeping in the hallway. the sliding glass door to the balcony was bolted shut for security. the bed was very comfortable though.
