I thought this hotel to be more basic and plain than the average four star hotel. I did not find this hotel to be very luxurious. It is pretty old and I think it could use renovation. The most welcoming staff. Very charming and was quite elegant in its day. All the chairs and sofas in the lobby as well as our suite need to be reupholstered. Downtown Dallas is sadly deserted with lots of homeless people. Even Starbucks closes at 6:00 p.m. If you have to be downtown, this is the hotel to stay at.
