I thought this hotel to be more basic and plain than the average four star hotel. I did not find this hotel to be very luxurious. It is pretty old and I think it could use renovation. The staff here were mostly nice. The food I had here was not that delicious and overpriced. However, location can't be beat.

The service at the Adolphus is absolutely impeccable. The staff is consistently friendly, caring, and helpful. Everyone really understands what customer service truly means. Jamal at the front desk is a star. The rooms are large and comfortable. Stayed at the Adolphus during OU/Texas weekend. Nice hotel, rooms are comfortable - beds/bedding great. Great location downtown, close to Cotton Bowl. Very quiet hotel, valet parking only. The most welcoming staff. Very charming and was quite elegant in its day. All the chairs and sofas in the lobby as well as our suite need to be reupholstered. Downtown Dallas is sadly deserted with lots of homeless people. Even Starbucks closes at 6:00 p.m. If you have to be downtown, this is the hotel to stay at.

The food was excellent at the restaurant, the buffet and the banquet we ate at, quite pricey but then so was the hotel, too. We were able to get a group rate through the national director, for the hotel food and the rooms. I really enjoyed staying, but it is way too expensive. "The room (really a suite) was huge, fabulous, clean, perfect.Room services were on the ball.Bar was beyond perfection.Regret we didn't get to eat there.Car entrance is a little congested during Christmas party time but that is no biggy considering the overall top quality of the entire experience."

We stayed for one night at the Adoplus and had a great time. The room was very clean and the softest linens I have ever slept on. This was a super bargin for the price! Everyone at the hotel was very polite and we had a great time. Easy parking too!

This is by far the best restaurant I've ever eaten in (including those in New York and Paris). The service is impeccable and the food divine. Everything was wonderful: the atmosphere, choice of table, waiter, etc. Very very romantic!

The French Room is a wonderful dining experience that too many people save for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It is worth visiting many times a year. The food is great, the service impeccable and the decor outstanding. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable. Did not know they had restaurants of this caliber in Dallas. The French Room could easily be in New York, London or Paris. The food is the best, bar none. The service is awesome and the decor, well you'd think you were in the middle of Paris. It really is awesome.
