Magnus is pricey but the food is great. Every time we've been there, the service had been just right - prompt enough, friendly, and not too cloying. For a nice occassion, give them a try.
When my wife and I married, we wanted to have an intimate affair that allowed for great conversation. The Magnus created an amazing experience for us including some wonderful wine pairings. We celebrate our anniversary here every year - and enjoy tapas and live music in the bar regularly.
Pros
+ Knowledgable servers, amazing seafood
Cons
- too pricey to be a regular affair

I found the food to be a nice try. My lamb was a bit tough (a piece sinew in the meat). Another party member commented her steak was a bit tough as well. Ambiance was a bit stark. Tappas were excellant as was the soup and salad course. All other party members thought their entrees were excellant. Desert was to die for. Service was nicely timed.
Pros
+ Large portions
