The first place I took my wife on our first date was the Canal. From that day on we hardly spent any time apart. I really think it set the tone for our romantic evening. A great place to impress a date, not to mention first kisses.

Pros

+ Scenery, Quiet, Murals

Cons

- , needs restaurants

Living on the Canal

I am one of the fortunate ones that call the Canal home. Many in Indy are in awe when they learn that I live on what is the city's best attraction. It is wonderful to be in a place that people come to for fun and relaxation and never have to leave. Even the ducks stay through winter!

Pros

+ Clean, Safe

Cons

- no bathrooms, no resturants
