We attended a Christmas party there and the food at the banquet was not that great. The hotel has a modern casual feel and the room was spacious and clean. The hotel is located right downtown Long Beach with only steps to restaurants, shopping, and nightclubs.
I was in my cousin's wedding in California and they had the reception at the Renaissance Ballroom at the Marriott in Long Beach and it was perfect. My cousin was so happy with how everything turned out and I had a great time checking out Southern California. A great place to get away from it all... With great and quick service, I felt very comfortable with the friendly atmosphere. A great view in most rooms and a small pool and a workout area to further relax yourself.
Downside - Wished there were more towels in the room, but that can be easily remedied with a quick call.
