Its a good place, with nice people, but its a wee bit dark at times.
Friday and Saturday nights are always packed and feature your generic party hip-hop and 80s tunes. Great vibe and dancing on these nights. I also would recommend Wednesdays nights for the No Jacket Required weekly. DJs spin a good mix of soulful drum & bass, deep house and downtempo...great for lounging or getting your groove on the dance floor.
Pros
+ DJs, Nice crowd, Large venue
Red & Black surprisingly has great apps and the drink prices are a perfect match for the current economy. I love the lounge-like feel but it is much warmer than your standard lounge. The staff is great and I love the see-through fireplace.
Pros
+ Bartenders, Inexpensive, Atmosphere
Try the nightly drink special, which can be anything from a fruity cocktail to a discounted aged whiskey.
Saturday night is Red & Black's clubbiest dance night, where designer jeans and well-maintained coifs rule.
