My niece stayed with us a few days and she wanted to help out but she didn't have any food stamps at the time, so my boyfriend told her to call Randy's.. After having a busy line for 3 days they finally accepted our call and put us on the list for next day delivery.. well next turned into the following week. We *she* purchased 8 items from that truck and it was 200... SMDH. the gatorade was a 12pk for 15.00 bucks.. a large bottle of cooking oil was 12. now normally our family shops at Walmart but at that time we needed a lil help... WHAT WE DID WAS.. SINCE FEELING THEY ARE GETTING OVER ON PPL.. WE CALL THE SAME DAY AND REPORTED HER CARD MISSING.. LOL.. THEREFORE RANDY'S WAS UNABLE TO GET ANY MONEY OFF OF HER CARD.. I TOLD HER IF IT DIDNT WORK I WOULD GIVE HER MONEY BUT.. IT WORKED.. LOL.. my boyfriend had an ex female friend that did them like that.. but they're prices is LIKE GAS... TO DAMN HIGH.. I will just give them a 1 star... thats for showing up.. lol
Well I never personally ordered anything from this place but my best friend did and boy did she have a hard time. They are extremely expensive and rude as hell to boot. She does get food stamps and has 4 kids 3 of them being boys the food rarely lasts through the month so she heard about Randy's and thought it was a good idea seeing that they would sort of give you the food on credit and then deduct it later. She would get just enough food to last her and her children for a week and it would amount to over 200 dollars and that to me is outrageous! So whenever her benefits would come onto her card she would be short on food for the month and ultimately got trapped in a cycle of buying at the grocery store running out of food and then ordering from the randy's truck and again being short on benefits the next month. It took some convincing but I was able to get her out of this cycle and get away from these people. They are definitely taking advantage of lower income families. This place is a disgrace.
This place is REALLY expensive!! They let you pay in foodstamps if there is no money on your card, then deduct it when you receive your benefits. When you call, they are always rude and if for some reason you don't get everything you bought they accuse you of stealing and lying. It is good if you are a low income family that needs groceries but has no food stamps to buy them, but you have to be made to feel humiliated in order to feed your family. It makes you wonder if it's worth the the trouble. There are people who are out there just having a hard time and places like this seem to take advantage of them because they know these people have nowhere else to go.
