As the name implies, P.S. 122 was once a public school, but now it serves as a local community arts and culture center. Accordingly, the P.S. now stands for Public Space . Local groups use the building to mount dance, theatre, music and caberat programs. There are two performance spaces as well as a gallery space, and the shows tend to be avant garde and experimental.
