Was a great place. R.i.p. like so many countless other nyc spots.

Handily filling the niche of former occupant Galapagos, Public Assembly mixes music, art, and events with a killer interior. Definitely an interesting night out.

A music venue with music. Spacious. Boring.

A cool place with freqent burlesque nights

“Handily filling” the cultured shoes of “former occupant Galapagos”, this “spacious” Williamsburg bar/performance venue assembles a “wonderful” lineup of live bands, burlesque shows and art installations in a setting that retains the “killer” bridge-over-water entrance of old; for an “interesting night out”, the prices are thankfully “reasonable.”

Housed in a former industrial factory, this Williamsburg venue hosts music, performance and visual arts events. Visit the website for a current schedule.
